There was no reply from either of the two sisters. They just stared blankly passed Wang Tingting, towards the abyss of people. Their blank expressions were very matching in coldness.

Observing them, Wang Tingting began to shutter.

"So?" Lu AnLing asked nonchalantly. Knowing Wang Tingting, Lu AnLing knew she wasn't here due to her own abilities either.

Hearing Lu AnLing's reply, Wang Tingtin glared.

Wang Tingting had hated Lu AnLing since the moment she had first met her.

This wasn't an exaggeration.

Born to a hard-working entrepreneur, Wang Tingting had always been proud of her background, that is, until her fathers business began to boom. In retrospect, it was supposed to be a good thing but because of it, she was forced to go to a more prestigious school and that is where her hell began.

But for Lu AnLing, it was different. She who was technically worst off due to her country bumpkin upbringing was quickly accepted into the higher ranks of the socialite circle Wang Tingting frequented.

Thinking back at it the woman couldn't help but grit her teeth.

It was all because of her relations to the Lu family, even if it was as just an adopted daughter, she had a rank Wang Tingting could never imagine to surpass.

The girl had the cinderella story that Wang Tingting had always wanted for herself.

Though the life Wang Tingting idolized wasn't as 'sunshine and lollipops' as she believed. Lu AnLing who had experienced torture in the socialite circle sometimes wished others would take her place.

"So?… Lu AnLing, you're as repulsive as ever. You're so unlikeable. It's impossible that you're an actress, you probably paid your way into this event."

Lu AnLing didn't want to waste her energy on fighting with Wang Tingtinh but knowing how the girl had been in high school, she quickly found out that she had no choice.

Lu AnLing: "Wang Tingting, who do you think I am? And what about you? What right do you have to be here."

"Me? I'm here rightfully but I know it's impossible for you!"

Wang Tingting glanced Lu Shuya's way for a moment, wondering if she would step in to help her sister but remembering how it was said that Lu AnLing and Lu Shuya had had a falling out she decided to completely ignore Lu Shuya's existence.

Seeing this, Lu Shuya glared at her before saying, " If you really think that it would be impossible for the Lu family to get into this event, then people who have status's can't even compare to our Lu family shouldn't be anywhere near here. You seriously leave such a bad taste in my mouth. Rather than failing at insulting us, shouldn't you explain yourself. Where are your manners?"

Lu Shuya had a snakes tongue and that hadn't changed during the years and if there was one thing she hated, it was someone insulting her family. Her pride wouldn't allow it to stand.

Hearing this, Wang Tingting's mouth twitched.

"You see, I got married," Wang Tingting showed the girls her ring proudly. "And my husband is a very top tier man. He's rich and good-looking, but his accomplishments should already be obvious since he was invited to such a high profile event."

At that moment, hearing the words from the woman mouth, Lu AnLing and Lu Shuya wanted to puke.

Want Tingting was being to brazen treating them like this. They didn't care who the bitch had married, they couldn't allow themselves to be treated like this. Surely, not now and surely not by Wang Tingting!

"So you were invited here ?" Lu AnLing said with a laugh, not holding back her animosity. "So in terms of importance, you're an accessory, or maybe... a prop?"

Wang Tingting's face turned black.

Lu Shuya took Lu AnLing's words as a jab at herself too but she couldn't say a thing because of the underlying truth.

"You—" Wang Tingting began, feeling rage bubble from the pit of her stomach, but she then stopped herself. She couldn't allow herself to get angry and cause a scene. At least not just yet.

Wang Tingting had a trump card.

"Enough about me... Now that I think about it, aren't you married?"

Hearing this question, Lu AnLing and Lu Shuya gave the woman a strange look.

"I guess you're wondering why I would ask that? Well, six years ago, I saw something really interesting." Lu AnLing and Lu Shuya's eyes widened as they continued to listen to the woman words. "I went to the hospital and I saw a woman with a very swollen belly. At first, the woman looked familiar but I wasn't quite sure if I'd seen it right or not until I saw another girl run up to her. Then, I knew who it was…"

Wang Tingting didn't give many details but Lu AnLing and Lu Shuya remembered that event like it was yesterday. That was the day Lu AnLing was set to give birth and despite being angry at Lu AnLing's choice to keep the baby, Lu Shuya accompanied by their mother had come.

Seeing their pale faces, the woman in green knew she'd hit the nail on the head.

"Judging by your face I'm guessing you aren't? So what, did prince Sheng Sheng get you pregnant and then dump your ass?"

Wang Tingting's words came like a slap in the face. Lu AnLing instantly snapped out of her shock. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Come on, don't play the innocent act. We all knew that you used to stalk Sheng Sheng. Not anybody could get close to Sheng Sheng, I bet you threw yourself at him."

This time Lu Shuya cocked her head in surprise before turning to Lu AnLing.

Had 'everybody's prince, Sheng Sheng' been the one Lu AnLing slept with?

Lu Shuya couldn't deny that there were possibilities. The year that Lu AnLing had gotten pregnant the boy had left to study abroad. Maybe that was why she said she didn't know who the father was. Lu Shuya couldn't help but connect the dots in her mind.

Seeing Lu Shuya's questioning gaze, Lu AnLing frowned.

No one from her high school days knew that Lu AnLing had dated Yang Yize with the exception of Lu Shuya but Lu AnLing had another secret that no one knew about, not even Lu Shuya.

Thinking back, Lu AnLing felt her heart burn. How dare that woman involve Sheng….

Sheng was Lu AnLing's only real friend and confidant. He was one of the most popular boys in school and Lu AnLing had made his acquaintance due to a mutual friend and then they just clicked. Though because of his popularity, it was hard for the two to meet up without strange rumors starting.

Her being a stalker was one of them.

"Do you think it's necessary for me to throw myself at anyone?" Lu AnLing crossed her arms over her chest and lifted her chin. An air of superiority surrounded her. "Unlike you, I'm not 'just anybody'."

Lu AnLing didn't want to either confirm or deny anything straight out. She knew that if she did no one would believe her anyways and the woman would continue to badmouth Sheng and she wouldn't allow that.

Seeing as Lu AnLing was looking down on her, Wang Tingting frowned but that quickly disappeared.

"Oh, yea?" Wang Tingting began to laugh.

From afar Manager Hong and Lin Li approached the table. Seeing Lu AnLing and another girl who Lin Li recognized glaring at a woman in a green dress, Manager Hong and Lin Li shared a look of worry.

Lu AnLing wasn't the type to act rashly. They knew this, but still… by the look in the girl's eyes and the way her jaw seemed to tighten, they believed that something bad was about to happen.

Worried, Manager Hong began to walk faster and faster toward the table.

Meanwhile, Wang Tingting brushed her straight long hair off her shoulder. "Fine… maybe it isn't Sheng Sheng but I wonder what would happen to the Lu's if I told everyone we know that…"

Lu Shuya and Lu AnLing's faced paled simultaneously.

"…one of their daughters gave birth to a…"

That was enough!

"Ba—"

"Wang Tingting, you shut your mouth!" Lu AnLing roared. The girl stood up as she slammed her hand hard on the white table with a bang.

She didn't care where she was, Wang Tingting was going to shut her mouth whether she liked it or not.

Hearing this, Manager Hong winced. She wasn't sure what the girls were talking about but she sure as hell heard the bang. Though, the sound wasn't actually loud. In fact, the people around her didn't even flinch or turn to look at the commotion. It was like they were in their own world.

Seeing a rise out of Lu AnLing, Wang Tingting smiled and taunted. "What if I don't? What will you do?"

Though, despite her taunts, Wang Tingting felt her heart palpitate at Lu AnLing's every movement.

Way back when they were in high school, there was a time when Lu AnLing had gotten so tired of Wang Tingting that she punched her straight in the face, breaking her nose.

Since then, Wang Tingting would still sometimes feel a dull pain in her nose but the woman ignored it, took a small sip of her martini to calm down and then began to speak again,

"Lu AnLing, I can destroy you with just my—"

Suddenly someone crashed into Wang Tingting's back sending body jerking forward and her martini dripping down the front of her light dress green dress. Soaking up the wetness, the front darkened considerably, creating an embarrassing mark on her chest.

With fire burning in her eyes, Wang Tingting screamed,

"Watch were you're going!"

A cold aura filled the surroundings.
