"Thank you." She said lovingly.

Hearing this, Kang Jun smiled softly. "No need to thank me. You're my wife, I'll do anything for you."

Kang Jun felt embarrassed whenever he said corny things like that but it didn't erase the fact that his words contained only the truth. He would do anything for her as long as she asked or as long as she was okay with it.

Once they said their goodbyes, Kang Jun spent some time with Kang Mingyu but the boy wasn't quite interested in him. However, it wasn't like he was unhappy either. Kang Mingyu was calm in Kang Jun's home and never feared anything. It was one of the only places that allowed him to be a kid.

When it was time for bed, Kang Jun went to tuck Kang Mingyu Into bed and then he went back into his office.

It was very easy for Kang Jun to overwork himself, and now that he had a new project of sorts, involving his wife and, possibly, Kang Mingyu, to work on, he had no problems working on it until the sun came up. In fact, at 4am he even called Mr. Long.

Kang Jun: "I need you to arrange a paternity test for me."

"Paternity test, sir?"

Mr. Long was frowning on the other end of the line. 'Marital problems already sir? What have you done?!'

"Yes, between Miss Lu and Mingyu." There was a small pause on the other end of the line. In this small amount of time, many things crossed through Kang Jun's mind but he didn't know if he should voice it.

In the end, all that came out was, "Please arrange one between Miss Lu and Mei Xue, also."

Mr. Long's mouth was shaped like an 'O' though at the same time he relaxed. Mr. Long liked the man Kang Jun was when he was with Lu AnLing and so, the man hoped that no problems would arise.

Mr. Long: "I'll arrange that right away. Is there anything else?"

Kang Jun: "For now, no, but If anything comes up I'll tell you, right away. Thank you."

As Kang Jun was working, not too late at night, Sheng and Lu AnLing were chatting. Rong Xin was in the room and the two sometimes tried to include him in the conversation but the man much preferred to be ignored.

Rong Xin wanted to make it clear to Sheng that Lu AnLing now had a boyfriend so he would refrain from being close to her but seeing the way they interacted, it felt as if Sheng and Lu AnLing alternated between a pet and owner relationship and a sibling relationship.

All in all, Rong Xin could feel no sexual attraction between the two but he would still continue to be their third wheel, just in case.

Lu AnLing: "So… where are my presents?"

Hearing this, Sheng frowned. "Who said you were getting presents?"

"Are you stupid, you told me you got me presents when you begged me to come to get you."

Sheng frowned. "First, I didn't beg okay? I simply asked. Second, yes I do have presents for you but what type of rude ass person would say that to a friend they haven't met for so long?"

"Sheng, I've been patient enough. I didn't ask you when we first met, we've had a little small talk, now," Lu AnLing stretched her hand towards Sheng, "gimme my gifts!"

She was acting like a child despite Rong Xin still being in the room. Lu AnLing knew this but she always acted like this in front of Sheng so she didn't refrain. Even if he told Kang Jun about it she didn't care because she wasn't ashamed about how she was.

Watching her, Sheng frowned.

"Okay, okay…" Sheng said as he went to rummage through his luggage. Then he grabbed a black garbage bag that took up 1/4th of his suitcase and then he threw it at Lu AnLing.

Lu AnLing was expecting it to hit her so she let out an 'ugh' sound but Rong Xin caught the bag for her instead before he placed it carefully on her lap.

Lu AnLing thanked Rong Xin.

As she held the black bag in her hands, she began to frown.

Lu AnLing: "Why is it so heavy?"

"Are you seriously complaining right now?" Sheng said as he gave Lu AnLing a death glare.

Seeing this, Lu AnLing held back her laughter.

Lu AnLing: "No. Not complaining at all."

"Good."

Lu AnLing took the contents out and then she peeled off the random wrapping little by little to reveal a couple of black pants, white shirts, a couple of random simple trinkets but nothing accounted for the weight, but then she unwrapped the last bunch of clothing to reveal a laptop.

Tracing her finger on the edges of the laptop, Lu AnLing started off smiling but she suddenly began to frown. Turning to Sheng with an expression of confusion she said,

Lu AnLing: "You bought me a computer but you're too poor to pay for your own taxi ride? You're serious?"

Sheng: "If you don't want it, give it back then."

Hearing this, Sheng frowned and then he pounced to grab the laptop. Rong Xin, who had been watching the whole time, quickly reacted to Sheng's movements and he immediately stunted the man's actions.

Feeling a squeeze on his arm, Sheng winced.

Sheng opened his mouth as if to say something but Lu AnLing suddenly tapped Rong Xin's hand, commanding him to let go.

Rong Xin did as she had asked before she turned to Sheng and said.

"Thanks for the computer but why did you get that for me? I already have a computer."

Sheng's face twisted. "You've had that piece of crap since high school and you refuse to buy a new one."

Lu AnLing shrugged.

"I don't have money to buy one of those. I'm not a rich boy like you"

Frowning slightly, Sheng crossed his legs on the bed and then forwards.

Sheng: "Don't bullshit me, you have more than enough money because of Ze—"

Lu AnLing pinched Sheng's arm to stop him from saying the name Zeke. It wasn't because Lu AnLing wanted to hide this but she would rather bring this up to Kang Jun on her own accord if it was important.

Right now, the person called Zeke was unimportant to everyone but herself.
