The memory was like a beautiful dream. One Yang Yize wished to return to.

However, when the man saw the girl laugh, he realized that she was with someone. Thinking that it might be her boyfriend, Yang Yize frowned slightly but he couldn't help but to cautiously look over. Once he moved his head to see who her date was, Yang Yize's face turned as dark as it could be.

'Lu AnLing why are you with that bastard…' He internally snarled.

Many thoughts ran through the man's mind as anger began to rise.

Lu AnLing… was she a serial cheater?

As soon as he asked himself this, he saw the girl stand up and head towards the bathroom.

Without thinking, Yang Yize stood up and excused himself from the table of business partners.

Outside the bathroom, Yang Yize waited for Lu AnLing. He didn't know what he was going to say but when he saw her, his mind blanked and he stepped into her path.

"Sorry," she said softly.

Hearing this, Yang Yize's heart tightened and then, he spoke himself. When he spoke, Yang Yize had almost no idea what he was saying. His mind was a complete blur due to the reminiscence and anger, but this didn't blind him from noticing the anger flaring up within Lu AnLing.

When Lu AnLing had first heard the man's words, the girl was completely dumbfounded.

Yang Yize had really had the balls to accuse her of cheating? This must have been some cruel joke.

Lu AnLing let out a dry laugh.

"Who cheated on who?" When speaking those words, Lu AnLing's voice was ice cold.

Hearing her words, Yang Yize starred at Lu AnLing deeply. There was something in his eyes that warned Lu AnLing that he was hiding something but she didn't say a word about it. She sincerely didn't care. The girl wanted to stay as far away from Yang Yize as possible.

She was tired and she really didn't want to fight with him, after all, she didn't want to make things uncomfortable for Xiao Mian…

Yang Yize grabbed Lu AnLing's arm.

"Lu AnLing, don't take me for a fool. You act like you're so innocent but we both know the truth… and now, you're on a romantic date with your precious Sheng Sheng? What else would this be, if not cheating?"

Shaking herself from Yang Yize's tight grip, Lu AnLing rolled her eyes.

Looking at Yang Yize's twisted face, she felt as if the man was extremely ugly. The sweet and hardworking man she had once loved was nowhere to be found and inside her heart, she felt nothing but disgust for the man.

They say that a girl never forgets her first love and Lu AnLing once believed this to be true… however, this didn't mean she'd always love him.

From far away Lu AnLing saw Rong Xin approaching her but with a simple hand sign, she ordered him to stop.

Lu AnLing didn't want Rong Xin to step in and help her. It would just make everything more complicated and, out of respect for Kang Jun, she didn't want to have Rong Xin play her fake boyfriend.

Lu AnLing: "We're two friends having a meal together. It's not a date."

Lu AnLing wasn't sure why she was explaining herself to him but as she did, she remembered how she used to have to clarify her relationship with Sheng on a monthly basis. The thought made her tire even more.

There was obviously a misunderstanding but Lu AnLing didn't care. She didn't want to talk to Yang Yize about it. She wasn't in the mood to clear up the misunderstanding. Since she had first met Yang Yize after coming back from abroad, the man had seen various things and it painted a pretty clear picture. However, what was presented weren't complete lies. She did have a child and, sure, she didn't have a boyfriend, but she had a husband, and that husband was not Rong Xin but Kang Jun.

Not caring anymore, Lu AnLing turned around, though Yang Yize grabbed her again.

Lu AnLing was about to turn around and slap Yang Yize but suddenly, Sheng came out of nowhere and pulled Lu AnLing to his side.

From afar, he had quickly noticed that Lu AnLing was talking to a man. At first, Sheng wondered if it was her boyfriend but the more he looked, the more he noticed that the man was Yang Yize. Seeing the way he violently grabbed Lu AnLing, Sheng couldn't just stay put.

"What's wrong with you?" Sheng almost screamed at the man.

Yang Yize: "This is between her and I. It has nothing to do with you!"

"Doesn't this have everything to do with him?" Lu AnLing pursed her lips and crossed her arms. Then she turned to look at Sheng. She touched his arm lovingly. "Sheng Sheng, he's been insinuating that I have been cheating on my boyfriend with you."

Hearing this Sheng's face paled and Yang Yize glared at the way Lu AnLing touched and called out to Sheng.

Looking at Sheng's pale face, Yang Yize took it as proof of infidelity. Why else would the man look like that? But little did Yang Yize know the thoughts crossing Sheng's mind.

One thing Sheng never wanted to do was to interfere in his best friends relationships… but by the hostile way Yang Yize was treating both him and Lu AnLing and the accusations thrown their way, he would only guess that a misunderstanding must have occurred.

Sheng: "Look, I don't know what you're thinking but you're misunder—"

Yang Yuze cut the man off.

"I'm not misunderstanding shit! I know what you did… I love you so much… Why, did you have to do that to me…" the man whispered.

'With him!' Yang Yize internally screamed.

Yang Yize starred deeply at Lu AnLing. His gaze unwavering.

By him, he had meant Sheng but he would never voice those words. He didn't want anyone to know how inferior he had felt in comparison to Sheng and how inferior he still felt now.

Lu AnLing had listened to him with all of her attentions and she couldn't help but cringe at the bullshit that came out of Yang Yize's mouth. She felt so angry that it made her feel sick.

He loves her? Not loved, but loves… and this is the man who was about to marry her friend?

What a fucking scum!

'What in the actual fuck, Yang Yize.' Lu AnLing groaned in her mind. She pinched the space between her eyebrows and tried to control the anger that emerged from the pits of her stomach.

"Are you delusional? You're making no sense! You cheated on me remember?! but you know what… that's all in the past. Right now, I'm glad you cheated on me…"

Lu AnLing didn't try to explain herself concerning what had happened long ago. It wasn't only because she couldn't remember what could have caused such a thought but also because there was no point. Yang Yize hadn't even tried to talk to her about it, he hadn't even tried to trust in her at least a little bit. No! Instead, he chose to cheat on her. To break her heart?!

Now that she knew what had happened, Lu AnLing wondered, had the man ever truly loved her? How could there be a relationship without trust?

Lu AnLing's face was dark but she still smirked.

Seeing this and hearing her words, Yang Yize felt his body freeze.

Yang Yize: "W-what?"

Lu AnLing approached him. Her aura was crushing. As she stepped forwards, Yang Yize had the urge to step back but he made no move.

"You heard me. I. Am. Glad. You. Cheated! I'm better off." Repeated this was like a slap in Yang Yize's face. Looking at her like she had said the most unbelievable thing, Yang Yize was about to say something but instead, Lu AnLing cut him off. "Unlike you, my present boyfriend isn't the type to not trust me, neither would he cheat on me or uselessly get jealous over a friend! Do you know what trust is? Or is it the words 'just a friend' that you don't understand? Well, It's when two people who are in a platonic relationship?! As in no sexual attraction of the sort."

Before Yang Yize could speak another word, Lu AnLing pulled onto Sheng's arm,

"Sheng, let's go."

At first, Sheng wanted to tell Yang Yize off but seeing Lu AnLing's cold expression he felt that it was best to just follow her lead.

Lu AnLing grabbed onto Sheng's arm and pulled him towards the elevator. Sheng felt her breasts press against him and Yang Yize's disgusted stare but the boy had no reaction.

In fact, Sheng was more worried about what would come from this situation.
