Each of them breathless.

Touching Yang Yize's face, Xiao Mian smiled brightly. "Why are you here?"

Yang Yize's face was complicated. Feeling slightly strange, the man averted his eyes.

"I'm here to see you of course."

That was a lie, but believing the man wholeheartedly, Xiao Mian just giggled girlishly.

"You're the sweetest."

In front of Yang Yize, the sweet and elegant woman turned into a complete school girl. Love had that effect on some.

Locking arms, Xiao Mian dragged him away.

When Yang Yize arrived at the area that was 'reserved' for Xiao Mian and her friends, he saw many people he used to know. Including Lu Shuya and Wang Tingting, both who bore similar pale faces.

Despite seeing Wang Tingting's face slightly swollen, Yang Yize completely ignored her as he looked at Lu Shuya.

Seeing Lu Shuya, Yang Yize felt an inkling of fear grow within him. Out of everyone there, Lu Shuya knew about his relationship with Lu AnLing and she would be the only one able to expose him, but thinking about their families relations, his worries quickly dissipated.

In the area, the majority of the girls had gathered there.

Xiao Mian smiled at them.

"Done partying?"

Most of the girls answered a 'hell no!' but for now, they just wanted to rest.

Turning to Lu Shuya and Wang Tingting, Xiao Mian spoke, "Where's AnLing?"

Lu Shuya froze.

In mock shock, Yang Yize's face twisted. "Lu AnLing is back?"

Xiao Mian turned to him and furrowed her eyebrows. "You didn't know? She was in the picture I sent you."

Of course, Yang Yize knew. Lu AnLing was the only reason he dropped everything he was doing and had come to the Celestial Fox. When Xiao Mian had sent him the picture of the group he had spotted the girl immediately, and the bright white sequin dress made it hard to look away.

How could the girl wear such a short and revealing dress? Yang Yize didn't know but it angered him wholeheartedly.

"My eyes only spotted you."

Yang Yize lied once more, but Xiao Mian ate his words up. To her, his words were truthful and full of love, but in truth, the man was deflecting.

Hugging his arm, Xiao Mian looked at the man with bright eyes. He was the only man in her heart.

Watching, Lu Shuya felt a pain in her stomach. She was completely disgusted.

"If it isn't Mr. Perfect." Turning around, Yang Yize met the eyes of Zhao Fei. She gave the man a friendly smile. "It's been a while."

Yang Yize gave a slight nod.

On their way home, Lu AnLing had fallen asleep in Kang Jun's car. Once at Helios Hotel, he woke Lu AnLing up but she was still a bit groggy. So instead of getting up and walking, Lu AnLing reached her hands out towards Kang Jun groggily.

"Hold me."

Kang Jun didn't know whether or not the girl was drunk on alcohol or on lack of sleep, but this was nowhere close to Lu AnLing's normal demeanor. Any normal person would find this annoying but Kang Jun didn't. He was actually quite amused.

Noticing her weight increasing on one side, Kang Jun nudged her but she no longer responded. He thought of carrying her over his shoulder, but that wasn't right.

So, without a second thought, the man just lifted her out of the car and allowed her to lean onto him. He was carrying her like a princess. Though, he made sure to hold the bottom of her dress properly so that no one could see her underwear.

Walking into the hotel, Kang Jun wasn't feeling too good himself. He had had a lot to drink but not as much as AnLing, he assumed.

The man felt his senses dull.

Outside, the room, Kang Jun woke Lu AnLing up and asked her where her room key was. After looking for it for a small while, Lu AnLing gave up, so Kang Jun was forced to bring her into his own room.

Once inside, He placed her on the spare bed and then he sat on the floor holding his aching head.

He was slightly buzzed, so he couldn't go an take a shower, but he really wanted to. Feeling uncomfortable in his suit, Kang Jun began to strip until he was only in his black dress shirt. Still feeling a bit suffocated, the man unbuttoned his shirt until it exposed his tanned abs.

He just sat holding his head for a minute and he groaned. He hated drinking, but if his business partner was drinking, he had to do the same.

As he sat, Kang Jun contemplated going to shower, but once he was about to push himself off the floor, he suddenly heard a thud sound. Feeling the familiar warmth at his shoulder, Kang Jun opened his eyes wide and then turned his head.

Looking at his side, he found Lu AnLing.

She had crawled out of bed to lay her head on his shoulder.

Kang Jun tried to push her off gently, but it was as if she had gained weight all of a sudden.

Leaning towards her, Kang Jun checked if the girl was unconscious, but she wasn't. She was wide awake, staring blankly into her lap.

"Come on," Kang Jun said with his hand open towards Lu AnLing. "You need to go to bed."

Looking into the man, Lu AnLing was frozen, but then, she leaned her head on his chest. Feeling her cheek on his bare chest, Kang Jun was shocked and unable to move.

Lu AnLing: "I'm not tired…"

Kang Jun pat her head, his eyes looked at the top of her head lovingly.

"But you're drunk."

"I'm not"

"You are"

Lu AnLing lifted her head up violently and then she began to pout. She wasn't drunk! She was just a little tipsy. That was all.

But even if she had said that Kang Jun wouldn't have believed her because, to vent her annoyance, Lu AnLing climbed up on Kang Jun's lap and grabbed onto his collar.

"I am not!"

Kang Jun was completely shell-shocked for a second. He wasn't sure why the girl had climbed up onto him, but as he swept his eyes over her, analyzing her cute pouty lips, he wasn't sure he minded.

Though he had to do math equations in his head to avoid his member from reacting to the warmth between the girl's legs that pressed up against him. The fact that her dress hiked up just enough almost completely exposing her underwear didn't help in the slightest.

Kang Jun laughed nervously. "You're definitely drunk."

Looking down at herself, Lu AnLing rolled her eyes and the sighed before she buried her head onto his shoulder. "I know…"

There was a moment of silence, as Lu AnLing breathed in Kang Jun's scent.

"You smell good," AnLing said before leaning her head against Kang Jun's chest. Once she did that, two strong hands wrapped around her. Lu AnLing felt safe in his arms. So safe that she closed her eyes and allowed herself to relax.

"Thank you, but I would appreciate it if you said that to me while you are sober " Kang Jun teased.

"How do you know I'm not sober"

"By the way you smell"

Lu AnLing lifted her head up and then gave Kang Jun the most horrified look. "I stink?"

Kang Jun laughed. "Never"

"Good…" Lu AnLing sighed as she leaned her head back against Kang Jun's chest.

For a moment, Lu AnLing enjoyed the warmth of Kang Jun's chest. Hearing his heart beat, caused her own heart to reciprocate. It was as if the two hearts understood each other and conversed.

It was music to Lu AnLing's ear.

The sound brought Lu AnLing to the brink of slumber, but then, a thought popped into her mind. The girl spoke without moving an inch.

"Who was that girl you were with today?"

Hearing those words escape Lu AnLing's mouth, Kang Jun pulled her away from him so he could look into her eyes.

"You're jealous?"

"…" Lu AnLing, even while slightly drunk, didn't know what to say. So instead of answering she averted her eyes. Though, the girl felt that the beat of her heart gave her emotions away.

When she had seen Yang Yize and Xiao Mian kiss, it was gross but she didn't feel hurt. However, when it came to seeing Kang Jun casually talking to a beautiful woman, her heart had squeezed.

It wasn't like Kang Jun was doing anything wrong. They weren't dating…

"I-I have no right to be jealous." Lu AnLing blurted out.

Kang Jun turned to smile at her and then he intertwined his fingers with hers.

Lu AnLing's heart skipped a beat.

Feeling that, Lu AnLing couldn't believe herself. She had kept her heart closed for so long and yet Kang Jun was slowly melting the ice which contained it.

"The woman was a business partner." Kang Jun said calmly, then he closed the space between them, and pressed his forehead on hers. He stared deeply into Lu AnLing's eyes. "I have no interest in anyone else but you."

Lu AnLing held her breath.

"Also, You have every right to be jealous. Although, you have no need to be. I already told you, I only like you…but if that isn't enough," Kang Jun lifted Lu AnLing's chin with his free hand, the other's grip tightened its hold on the girl's hand. "Marry me and I'll prove it to you every day."

Lu AnLing's heartbeat was loud, clear and almost out of control. Even Kang Jun could feel it from the palm of her hands.

He gave her the softest of smiles.

Lu AnLing's eyes traced all of Kang Jun's features. He was so vivid, though, the softness she felt in her heart made her wonder if she was dreaming.

Since the day she'd met Kang Jun and Kang Mingyu, Lu AnLing felt as if her life had turned upside-down but not in a bad way. Back then, she was broken, and before that, she was falling apart. Whether she liked to admit it or not, this was true. She had forced herself into becoming a shell of a person she no longer understood.

Now, it was different though.

Kang Jun was always transparent with her. And, for Lu AnLing, it was what she needed in a person; be it a friend or a lover.

No confusion, no unspoken words.

Just the truth…

Looking away, Lu AnLing felt her heart clench.

Maybe it was time for her to be the same with him.

"Mr. Kang…" Lu AnLing looked into Kang Jun's eyes clear and bright eyes. Feeling his stare aimed straight into her heart, she paused for a second. But once she gathered herself, she gave the man a sad smile. Tears began to gloss over her eyes.

Lu AnLing: "How much do you really know about me?"
