The classroom buzzed with energy as the school festival drew closer, and after the hard work of preparing for the maid café, it was time for one final meeting. All the girls gathered around the large classroom table, including Yumi, Hana, Reina, Keiko, Mayumi, and Aiko. The six of them were brimming with excitement, though an idea had been floating around that none of them had yet voiced aloud.

Yumi, always the one to take the initiative, cleared her throat and spoke up, glancing at the others with a grin. “So… I’ve been thinking. What if we shake things up a bit with the maid café?”

The girls looked at her curiously, though some had a hint of what was coming.

Hana leaned forward, raising an eyebrow. “What do you mean, shake things up? We’ve already got the decorations, menu, and everything set.”

Yumi chuckled. “I’m not saying we change everything. But what if we do something… unexpected?”

Reina crossed her arms, her competitive spirit shining through. “Unexpected? You’re not suggesting something like... the guys wearing the maid outfits, are you?” She smirked as if it were a joke, but Yumi’s grin only grew wider.

“That’s exactly what I’m suggesting,” Yumi said with a playful wink. “Why don’t we have the boys wear the maid outfits, and we—” she pointed to herself and the other girls, “—wear the butler outfits?”

The room fell silent for a moment as the girls processed the idea. Then, almost simultaneously, giggles and laughter broke out. Keiko blushed, imagining the boys dressed as maids, while Hana seemed intrigued, already picturing how it could work. Reina’s competitive nature was instantly piqued, and she was ready to outshine anyone in a butler uniform.

“I love it,” Mayumi said quietly, surprising the group. She smiled, her shyness momentarily forgotten. “It’d be fun to flip things around.”

Aiko, who had been listening quietly, nodded in agreement. “It would definitely be something memorable. I think people would love it.”

Reina clapped her hands together, her eyes gleaming. “Alright, I’m in! I can already see the boys trying to walk around in maid dresses. This is going to be hilarious.”

Yumi looked around, her eyes gleaming with excitement. “So… are we all on board?”

One by one, the girls nodded, all smiles. Keiko still seemed a bit shy about the whole thing but was clearly on board with the idea.

“Then it’s settled,” Yumi declared with enthusiasm. “Let’s go ask Mr. Sato if we can make this official.”

A few moments later, the six girls stood outside the staff room, gathering their courage to present the idea to Mr. Sato. Yumi knocked on the door, and the familiar voice of their homeroom teacher called them in.

Mr. Sato looked up from his desk, smiling when he saw the group. “What brings you girls here? Everything going smoothly for the festival?”

Yumi, acting as the spokesperson, stepped forward confidently. “Actually, Mr. Sato, we have a small request. We’ve all been talking, and we thought it might be fun to change things up for the maid café.”

Mr. Sato leaned back in his chair, raising an eyebrow. “Oh? Change things up how?”

Yumi grinned, her excitement infectious. “We want to switch the roles. We’re thinking the boys should wear the maid outfits, and the girls will wear the butler outfits.”

For a moment, Mr. Sato blinked, processing the unexpected suggestion. Then, to the girls’ surprise, he chuckled. “Well, that’s certainly… creative.”

Reina crossed her arms and added, “It’d be a great way to surprise everyone. And trust me, the boys won’t mind. They’ll probably think it’s hilarious too.”

The teacher stroked his chin thoughtfully before responding. “It’s definitely unconventional… but as long as everyone’s on board and it stays fun, I don’t see why not.”

The girls erupted into grins and quiet cheers.

“Alright,” Mr. Sato said with a laugh, “you’ve got the green light. Just make sure everyone knows what they’re getting into.”

With a final smile, the girls thanked him and left the room, brimming with excitement. As they walked down the hall, Yumi looked back at the group with a satisfied grin. “This is going to be the best festival ever.”

The others nodded in agreement, already imagining the hilarious and unforgettable reactions from the boys when they found out about the new plan.
