Overlord in Cultivation Chapter 16: Awakening of Su Yan

“Am I just going to awake now? How strong could my physical potential be?”

Su Yan was so excited that he didn’t know what to say. He could feel clearly that his physical potential seemed to break the chains, opening one potential space after another!

The power of awakening was growing at a horrible speed while the very little energy from the Vermilion Fruit was being transmuted! But the energy was far from satisfying his awakening. The energy from three Vermilion Fruits was mainly used to open the awakening path, and now he needed more energy to support the awakening process.

According to the Cultivation Manual, you would die if you lacked energy during the awakening process. So Su Yan was very anxious, just like a cat on hot bricks.

"It’s a mastiff, a type of war beasts for searching!"

It's no secret that a fierce beast could be tamed. But the mastiff clearly aimed at him, and Su Yan thought of Tao Tianhua. Otherwise, who had so much power to use a war beast?

At the same time, a smile appeared on Ma Zhoushan’s iron face. He thought it must be a great merit if he captured Su Yan.

The mastiff had already launched an attack against Su Yan ferociously.

“How can it hurt me?”

Su Yan was quite calm, thinking what to do next at this situation. He was not afraid of He Zhi or the mastiff, but the man, named Ma Zhoushan, who had a strong qi should be a great master in Destiny Spring Realm.

He Zhi also rushed over, fearing that the mastiff would kill Su Yan.

However, as soon as the mastiff approached Su Yan, it sensed the qi from Su Yan and collapsed to the ground, trembling with the eyes full of fear, as if it had offended the lord of life.

Su Yan was shocked. He doubted the reason why it was so scared and whether the answer was himself.

He Zhi burned with anger. Shivering of the mastiff in front of a little fellow made him lose face.

Su Yan stood at the entrance of the cave, staring at He Zhi. And the mastiff was still trembling under his feet. He Zhi became much more furious with Su Yan’s cool head and cold look, and then he raised his hand slapping towards Su Yan.

“Trying to kill me? I’ll kill you first!”

Su Yan opened his eyes angrily, with his black hair dancing and abundant qi and blood overflowing inside his body. While standing and moving his arms, wisps of startling power burst out, which could rip the mastiff alive.

“Boom!”

Ma Zhoushan was slack-jawed. Su Yan, as a bull in fighting, spread his arms, pounding his left bursting fist and right cannon fist against He Zhi’s chest.

“Bang!”

Too fast! He Zhi seemed to be struck by lightning, and his chest cracked in a flash. Then, under the impact of the Cannon Boxing, all his viscera were ruptured and blood sprayed out.

“Poof!”

He was attacked to the air and fell down to the ground. Struggle didn’t make sense, and then he died with afeard eyes.

“Damn!”

Ma Zhoushan bristled with anger at the same time. His eyes turned red for Su Yan killed his man by only one hit.

Su Yan turned back like a lightning, because Ma Zhoushan was so angry that bright light beams permeated his body which burst majestic essence of life, like a volcano erupting and spewing sustaining energy.

The cave behind Su Yan suddenly blasted. Lots of stones flew far away. How strong his fighting power was! What a great master!

“Stop!”

Ma Zhoushan became much angrier and felt extremely humiliated. He was a great master of Destiny Spring Realm, but his man was killed by Su Yan. It was a laughingstock!

Su Yan was as swift as the wind because he was very familiar with the terrain here. All of a sudden, he rushed thousands of meters towards a mountain at a lightning speed.

Extreme anxiety welled in Su Yan, since it was impossible to battle with such a master from Destiny Spring Realm by his present power!

The point was that he was still in the period of awakening that he could not run for long. Worse still, Ma Zhoushan was right in the way to the base of UCC.

"You little brute! Let’s see how far you can run?"

With energy beams shimmering on his soles, Ma Zhoushan, whose whole body glittered and shone, was catching up with Su Yan at a faster speed.

In the meanwhile, a bronze machete made of supreme alloy, the same as Su Yan’s Dragon Tattooed Rod, was quite another weapon when held by Ma Zhoushan, showing a bright light which was dozens of feet long with the infusion of his energy.

Splitting the sky and visibly shattering the forests, Ma Zhoushan brandished the bronze machete towards Su Yan fiercely!

As redness occurred in his eyes, Su Yan growled and took out his Dragon Tattooed Rod. His current strength enabled him to wield it casually and decisively hit against the machete.

The bright light of the machete was smashed, but the rolling of Dragon Tattooed Rod jarred Su Yan's hands and the powerful counter force nearly shook the rod off his hand.

"Supreme alloy!"

Ma Zhoushan got astonished, for it cost several million Huaxia coins that should be impossible for this guy to afford.

Besides, the power of Su Yan was beyond Ma’s expectation since he could not withstand this hit without at least 200 horsepower.

"It is indeed the Essence Stone! You must have transmuted all the energy of Essence Stone! Damn! I will give you hell once I got you."

During the chase, Ma Zhoushan was confused that many beasts wanting to block the way seemed, same as the mastiff, afraid of Su Yan.

Having been also surprised about it, Su Yan suddenly decided to go to the Wilderness 024, heading for the mountain treasure.

Even though he could not be caught by Ma Zhoushan, Su Yan would die because of exhaustion of his energy without divine treasure supporting him alive during the awakening. He has no other choice now!

Guided by the Dragon Totem on his arm, Su Yan rushed into the Wilderness 024 with bleeding cuts caused by Ma Zhoushan’s machete on his body.

"Ahhh!"

Roaring painfully in his heart, he felt his organs were weakening for the acceleration of awakening.

Su Yan’s power had been strengthened at a ferocious pace, therefore. He was just like a fierce tiger and all beasts passing by him trembled out of fear of his awakening qi.

Ma Zhoushan considered that Su Yan had some kind of valuable which could terrify the beasts. If he could get hold of it, it might help him in hunting beast lords, let alone other benefits.

"Why bother serving Tao Tianhua if I could kill Su Yan and take away his valuable?"

Staring at Su Yan greedily, Ma Zhoushan said with a sinister smile, "He must have Innate Liquid, otherwise how to explain his quick recovery! There must be other secrets. I defy you to escape."
