No Matter How Long Time Passes, I Still Love You Chapter 41: Vitamins

The next morning, Chen Mu made breakfast to replenish her energy, starting with a healthy meal. He went to the market to buy fresh fruits and ingredients for her. When he got back, he started blending the fresh fruits to make her a smoothie and making an extra large portion of stacked waffles for her.

She woke up earlier than usual to give him a surprise, but who knew that he would beat her to making breakfast this early in the morning? Furthermore, his eye bags were pretty obvious as well.

"You didn't sleep last night?"

"A bit." He smiled and poured her a glass of smoothies.

"Is there anything I could help you with?" She rolled up her sleeves, ready to get her hands working in teh kitchen.

"Yep~ You can sit there and be the taster. Let me know if it's too sweet." He cut a piece of waffle, blew on it a little, and fed it to her.

"It tastes perfect. Just right." Seeing her smile made his tensed body relax slightly, but one thing still bothered him a lot and he didn't know how he should ask her. He always respected her decisions and gave her time to tell him things that she wanted to share with him, but this time, he doesn't think that he could treat her the same way.

After eating breakfast, she continued drinking the freshly blended smoothie and he sat down across from her quietly. Finally, she decided to break the cold ice that normally isn't there, "Ah~ What are you doing today?"

He replied, "I have to do something at the company today. What about you?"

"I got an email and voicemail from Lawyer Chen to stop by Tian Corps and re-sign the divorce papers. Apparently, my personal statement and marked cross outs weren't allowed, so they needed my signature again." She explained, releasing a deep sigh because she clearly didn't want to have the slightest thing to do with Tian Yuo.

He rubbed her head gently after seeing her slight frown, "It's alright. Do you need me to go with you?"

She shook her head, "Nah, even if you come with me, they'll make you sit outside the room. No point."

"By the way..." his voice deepened slightly as he slid the bottle of pills across the table.

"Ah!" She reacted exaggeratedly.

"You left this on the kitchen counter. Why were you taking these pain reliever pills?" He sipped his coffee calmly. He looked calm, but mixed emotions stirred like a tornado in his mind once again as he waited for her response.

"These are my vitamin pills. I thought it would be more convenient if I used the pain killer bottles and leave the bottle in my bag since I always forget to take them. Thanks for reminding me though! Almost forgot again." She tried to act naturally and hoped that he didn't raise suspicions against her words.

"Since it's along the way, I'll drop you off Tian Corps first, okay? This way you can avoid getting squashed like a sandwich on the bus by those teenagers who are twice your size. Heh." He was teasing her again.

"Hey! I'm the perfect size, okay? Not too short or too tall! Guys like girls small like me! What? Do you not like tiny girls? Hmmm?" She childishly questioned.

With his hand gently patting her head, he smiled, "I only have my eyes on one tiny looking girl and I'm in love with her too."

For a second, her heart almost stopped beating, but the vibration of her cell phone broke off their conversation. "Hello?" She answered.

Tian Yuo didn't know where to begin, so he began with, "You got the email from Lawyer Chen?"

"Yes." Her tone sounded as indifferent as the time that he had met her in the mall.

"I'm heading to Tian corps, do you need a ride?" He wanted to see her, but didn't have the guts to ask her out after all the tension and incidents that occurred between them.

"No need to bother CEO Tian Yuo to run this extra mile. I already have someone who could drive me there." she almost laughed when she heard him offer her a seat in his car after all these years of his raging temper and neglectance.

"Can't we speak calmly? Is this how we have to talk to each other from now on?" Tian Yuo didn't expect himself to talk to her with such a gentle tone.

"I say, Mister Tian Yuo, what wind blew you over to me? Either you have a favor you want to ask me, or you banged your head against a pole or something because there is no way in hell you would talk to me like this." Her eyes narrowed as he continued talking on the other side of the line.

Susu no longer had the soft part for him, 'Since the moment you decided to believe and stand on Karen's side after all I've done for you, that little bit of feelings that I had for you already died.' she thought to herself as she blocked out whatever he had to say.

At the end of the call, she had no idea what he has been blabbing about, so she replied, "I have no idea what you're trying to say. If future calls are about this type of nonsense, your number will go on my block list."

"What did he call you for?"

"Asked if I needed a ride to sign the divorce papers and unloaded a whole truck of crap that I didn't understand." She was in a good mood until he ruined it.

Chen Mu dropped Susu off by the entrance of Tian Corps and drove off. When Susu walked in, Tian Yuo was standing by the front desk, waiting for her with a smile. Susu put on her full alert as he guided her to the elevator.

Meanwhile, Chen Mu had accessed the medical labs and brought one of the pills from the pain reliever bottle with him for experiment purposes. Since he passed the medical examinations all in one go, as promised, he was granted to every access he needed for research use.

That night when he inspected the bottle of pills, he already recognized what the pill was, but he wanted to make sure that his assumptions were right. At least this time, he really wishes that his guesses were wrong. After wearing gloves, he started dissecting the pill to conduct the test himself.
