"It's Naruto's turn," Hiruzen said causing the nearby examiners to become more attentive.

"The No.1 rookie of this year…" the other examiners murmured.

"The boy out-performed everyone on the written test…" Ibiki said.

Anko thought back to Orochimaru's impression of Naruto.

"But who knew a progeny of the fourth would stand in my way…."

"It's kind of an unexpected twist you would come across in a story though….."

"But fighting with the kid, He is a pure genius, too sad the kid was not an Uchiha…."

"That boy is the son of the Fourth Hokage? You fought with him?"

"Yes, and not only that, the brat is in full control of the nine tails. He also is capable of using all the fourth's techniques; the flying thunder god, the Rasengan….."

"Here he comes…" Orochimaru glared at Naruto.

Naruto and Kiba landed on the battle floor and walked towards each other.

"The seventh battle,"

"Uzumaki Naruto Vs. Inuzuka Kiba." Hayate announced.

(Woof!) Akamaru barked excitedly upon being set down on the floor by Kiba.

"This match is gonna be a walk in the park…"

"Oh!"

"Kiba, are you sure you can defeat me?" Naruto asked.

"hahaha!" Kiba laughed.

"I will spare you some sympathy at the very least…"

"I'll do you in, in one clean blow! "

(Woof!)

("Kiba is definitely going to lose…") Sasuke and Shikamaru thought

"All right then! I'm going to give you a handicap…"

"For the first five minutes, I won't attack you at all."

"Hah! I'll make you eat your words" Kiba said arrogantly.

"Well then. Please…"

"GOOOO!!!!" Naruto-kun" Lee screamed.

Kiba joined his hands, as he channeled his chakra all over his body.

He then bent down assuming a stance of a beast on all four legs, upon which his muscle structures at the base of his limbs altered a bit followed by his nails growing longer.

Kiba jumped towards Naruto as he swiped with his fingernails.

Naruto dodged it entirely as though it was nothing.

"Is that all you got?" Naruto provoked.

"AAHHHH!!" Kiba howled, charging towards Naruto as he started swiping towards the air in front of Naruto one after the other.

Each swipe missed the swaying Naruto cleanly.

Kiba got angrier

"Kiba cut the tough talk and use your dog or whatever you want!" Naruto declared as he stood without a single scratch on his body.

"You'll regret this…." Kiba murmured.

"LET'S GO AKAMARU!"

(Woof!)

Both Kiba and Akamaru ran towards Naruto while Kiba took out smoke bombs from his pockets and launched them forward.

"Take this!"

(poof)

A thick cloud of smoke appeared covering Naruto, Kiba, and Akamaru.

Kiba and Akamaru stealthily continued their attacks under cover of the smoke.

The duo kept jumping at Naruto as they swiped their claws, but it all missed Naruto.

Slowly the smoke cleared up, yet Naruto stood there unharmed.

"Why?" Kiba asked as he got angrier,

"Why does none of the attack have no effect on you?"

Naruto gestured Kiba to attack once again.

Kiba reached into his pocket.

"AKAMARU!"

(Woof!) Akamaru barked, and it opened its mouth.

Kiba tossed a food pill into its mouth after which Akamaru's skin started to turn red.

Akamaru then jumped onto Kiba after which he formed a < Tiger > seal.

Akamaru had transformed into Kiba.

Kiba and Akamaru (Kiba) ran towards Naruto and started swiping once again.

Naruto smiled.

Naruto gave another target to attack for Akamaru thus reducing his burden of facing two people at the same time.

Just as before Naruto had dodged all the attacks from Kiba.

("Man, these two's teamwork is excellent… Even for a seasoned duo, following attacks one after another in perfect synchronization is really hard") Naruto thought.

Kiba looked at the transformed Akamaru, as they both nodded to each other.

"Take this!"

Kiba announced as they both turned into a drilling motion and continued towards Naruto.

Naruto dodged Kiba's moves as he announced

"Two out of five minutes are over!"

Kiba got angry once again as he and Akamaru had increased their speed to attack Naruto.

Everyone in the hall was observing silently.

"Man he is good!" Kankuro commented while Gaara kept staring at Naruto.

"He has only been dodging all this time!" Temari said.

Kurenai felt surprised at Naruto's abilities

("I only heard he was the rookie No.1, after training with Kakashi, his abilities must have improved much more… However, who knew the difference would be too much…")

Meanwhile, Hinata traced the spot where Naruto had given her the seal.

"Naruto-kun…"

Sasuke also watched the match, while his expression had no clear emotions.

Kakashi did not have such high expectations, after all, he knew that Naruto was extremely powerful, to the extent he could surpass him in one full swoop.

Kakashi had already been informed of Naruto's abilities after his encounter with Orochimaru in the forest.

Hiruzen had personally called Kakashi to warn him on protecting Sasuke from Orochimaru.

At this moment, Kakashi turned towards the side.

("What the…")

Karin had noticed Kakashi's surprised expression.

She also turned back this moment only to be surprised as well.

"Why does he not finish him off?" Anko asked, knowing that Naruto was already strong enough to beat Kiba.

"Naruto can do it, but he chose not to…" Hiruzen answered.

"Naruto is one, who has understood the principles of ninja…"

The battle between Naruto and Kiba continued. Kiba almost felt like losing his mind when he saw Naruto kept dodging every single move of his.

Naruto, Kiba and Akamaru stopped moving.

"You still have a minute left…" Naruto reminded.

Kiba could not take it anymore almost wanting to vomit blood. He wanted to cry, yet he could not.

"How did you become this strong?" Kiba asked.

"Training… Of course!" Naruto spiritedly replied.

"…" Kiba

(Woof!) "Grrrr...!."Akamaru glared as it ran towards Naruto and continued to attack.

"Time is up!" Naruto said as he gave a kick to Akamaru.

Akamaru flew in the air as it landed a few metres away from Kiba transforming back into its original form…

Kiba turned towards Akamaru, staring at it with his mouth open.

He then turned towards Naruto as he brought his hand towards his face and bit on it.

("Calm Down!") He said to himself, while blood flowed out of his hand.

Meanwhile, the clone disappeared after defeating Akamaru, in order to change it to a one vs.one.

Kiba got up and put both his hands into his pocket grabbing four shurikens in each side.

Kiba then took off as he started running towards Naruto, throwing the Shurikens one by one.

At this instant, Naruto smiled as he vanished from the place he stood.

("Where did he go?") Kiba wondered as the shurikens continued forward, only to land on the walls.

Naruto reappeared behind Kiba and smashed him to the ground.

"TWO MOVES!,"

"One for Kiba and one for Akamaru" Anko commented.

Hayate walked towards Kiba and kneeled to examine his condition…

Kiba gnashed his teeth unconsciously with pain.

"The winner is Uzumaki Naruto" Hayate announced.

"Ohhh!!!" Lee howled happily upon witnessing Naruto win his battle.

"Nice one!, Naruto!" Sakura shouted.

Naruto turned to smile at everyone, after which…

(Poof!)

"Eeehhhhh!!" Many people reacted at this moment.

In the standing area where Team 7 was located….

Kakashi and Karin stared at Naruto, who was there the whole time.

"I WON!" Naruto said as he smiled towards, Kakashi and Karin who was later on joined by Sasuke and Sakura as well.

Hiruzen laughed, as he adjusted his Hokage hat down a bit.

"It was a shadow clone, all along…."
