My love story : by Abhishek Malhotra 397 Brahmini's mother enquiry

Pratap was the first to react and asked "Where are you going kids ?" and Abhi replied in a calm tone "We planned to go clubbing and may be late night dinner together".

Brahmini's mother asked "Clubbing ?" She seemed tobe hesitating and Naveen said with a nervous smile "We will go to a high end club and Brahmini will be safe with us, you can trust us with her."

She looked at him and with his genuine smile she believed him. Pratap said "Okay, kids. But be safe ha." and Brahmini's mother nodded her head too "Okay, but try to return early."

Abhi smiled and said "Thank you" and then he turned towards Brahmini and said "Naveen will come pick you up at eight."

He then turned towards Sony and she shook her head not to say anything but he ignored her with a sly smile and said "I think Kunal will pick you up".

The moment the words left his mouth Pratap's face turned grave but he didn't show his diapprovement not infront of others. Sony just nodded like an obedient smile.

Abhi said to Naveen "Take them to shopping if they want to or else take her home" and Naveen nodded with respect, he is back to his loyal employee mode.

With that he walked away and just below the stairs he saw the other group members and their guardians.

He ignored their presence and walked away elegantly and soon at the entrance of the building he met his temporary manager Kriti.

Shriya smiled at the elderly and Naveen said in a gentle tone "One moment please" With that he knocked on the door and entered the room in which they were seated a few minutes ago.

All four people in the room looked up and Naveen said in a high tone addressing all of them "Well, I am now here as Mr. Malhotra's chief security and I want to inform you all about something."

He said after attaining everyone's attention "Well, Mr. Malhotra asked me to inform me something. The engagement between Mr. Malhotra and Miss Sheren has tobe kept confidential and we don't want any rumors spreading around."

"We don't want any such things or I can't promise about the consequences. I hope you understand what I am trying to say now. That's it for now and I hope your full cooperation in this."

His tone was neutral and calm but there was definently a firm and domineering attitude under his gentle tone.

If they saw a gentle and respectful student in him till now then they saw the strict and dutiful person about whom Abhi spoke earlier.They shivered seeing him and something about him made them shut their mouths.

He came back with a smile leaving the people in the room flabbergasted. He smiled gently at his friends and said placing a hand over Shriya "Shoud we go home now?"

Even these people heard what he told inside as the door was half open. Both elders looked at him with praise in their eyes and seeing his change of rules accordingly.

They didn't go shopping as they didn't want to make Brahmini's mother insecure about her financial back ground.

Naveen promised to bring her a dress but she said she will be okay and she had a dress to wear to the party.

Soon after they reached their home, Brahmini's mother dragged her to the sofa and asked "So what's all this about ?".

Her father was still at home and when he saw the tensed atmosphere between his wife and his daughter, he asked with worry "Are you alright ?"

Brahmini sat silent and her father asked again with concern for his daughter and also his wife might say something bad to their daughter "What did the principal say ?" and her mother said "She got suspended for a week".

He was shocked but she said in a calm tone "But it's okay, it's not her fault and Principal informed it himself but it's just a..you know nothing serious in total".

She was not worried about the suspension. She was just thinking about something else and her brain was in a mess trying to grasp all the information.

He nodded and said "I am going tobe late. I have evening shift today too and be here in the morning. Take care and good night". They nodded and he left.

Soon after her husband left Brahmini's mother bombarded her with millions of questions about the relationship between Abhi and Shriya. She even guessed who the Kunal was they were talking earlier about.

And she also observed the quick frown from Pratap when he heard Kunal's name earlier though he hid it very quickly and she guessed his relationship with Sony. The experience she had all gathered in thses years made her sensitive to her surroundings and understand the situation.

Brahmini explained almost everything honestly to her mother though she did a few edits in the story and gave an overall view.

She also told about her visit to Dubai and under what circumstances they had to lie to her not forgetting to empathize the way they treated her. For a moment her mother was furious for hiding such a thing from her.

Brahmini assured her mother saying about her friends and she believed her daughter's words after what she saw today at college and she knew they are genuinely concerned about her daughter.

She then asked "Chinni ( a nick name for Brahmini at home ) Aren't you uncomfortable being with those rich friends and especially they have boyfriends while you are still single ?"

Brahmini laughed awkwardly and her mother sensed something is definitely wrong with her daughter.

That girl never thought that she would have this kind of discussion with her mother one day afterall she knew how strict her mother was all this while ?

The Mother asked her daughter "Baby Do you love someone too ?" and Brahmini hesitated for a minute before answering but nodded her hands with her head held down.

Mother asked her daughter in the very same ackm tone which gave Brahminia but of confidence "Who is that man ?" and Brahmini said "Naveen, you saw him earlier today".

Brahmini's mother was shocked but soon she regained her senses and asked "Is he the employee of Abhishek or Shriya's brother? What's his identity ?"

Brahmini said "Well, actually his employee first but he is also Shriya and Sony's brothers bestfriend too".

She looked confused and Brahmini explained everything to her mother though she left out a few parts and said it was just an fire accident and how Naveen owns a company and is rich, She said everything in one go and smiled at her mother measuring her expressions.

She asked with concern for her daughter "Don't you feel awkward or something like that when your friends treat him like an employee indront of you ?"

Brahmini shook her head and said "No mom, They treat him like their own brother and respects him and moreover he is like a bestfriend to all of us. You saw it too. He respects Abhi and only infront if him and others he behaves as an employee. Other times he is just a college student and our host friend.

Though he completed his studies long back he joined college again because Shriya didn't want to him to follow her as a bodyguard as others might tease him.

But he couldn't leave her alone in the campus, so he joined college and you know what he topped last semester's examinations". She said with excitement.

After hearing everything her mom nodded a bit as she was still concerned. She was worried that her daughter might feel embarrassed hanging out with her rich friends.

She then dragged her daughter to her room saying "Oh God, you don't even have any dress to wear tonight ?"

Brahmini smiled and her mother asked as if she remembered something very important "If you attended that engagement and marriage in Dubai then what did you wear in such occasions ?".

Now she was really concerned about her daughter and she had no idea how her husband will react to it of he knows about this.
