Sony woke up early the next morning. She already know that her parents will be home that day. She cleaned the entire living room neatly till it almost looked and shined like a clean mirror. She placed some fresh flowers in the vase in the living room and put some room freshener.

Last night she brought some good tea beans and she decided to make it when he came in the morning. She rummaged through her wardrobe not knowing what to wear and atlast decided on a pure white salwar kameez with a multi colored bandini dupatta. She used some matching earrings and put on a light make up and left her hair loose.

No matter what she did, she couldn't get over her nervousness. She don't know what he will say to her parents and how they react to it. She looked at the clock and there are only ten minutes for him to come.

Those ten minutes felt like a century for her. She already informed her parents that she has to say something to them and to be ready by 10 in the living room.

Thankfully they are also dressed in a decent manner, not in some home clothes or pajamas. They wer staring at their daughter who is walking to and fro in the living room with her fingers in her mouth.

Exactly at 10 they all heard their door bell ring and Sony was exited. Her heart was beating so fast that she thought it might jump off from there. She looked at her parents and said in a hurry walking towards the door "Well my boyfriend is here and he wants to talk to you about something. If you want to scold me or beat me it's fine. You can do it later. But now be good to him." She told them behind her and rushed to the door.

They didn't get to understand the situation when their daughter already opened the door and they heard her sweet voice "Hii, please come in". They heard another manly voice "Hii. You look beautiful silly girl".

After a minute came Sony and following closely behind her was a man who is almost 6'2 height, well built body with a perfect face in normal clothes. He looked dignified with sunglasses. He held a bouquet of yellow roses wrapped nicely in her hands.

It was the first time Mrs. Kaur saw Kunal in real. She has seen him once or twice in the mobile or on TV. She recognized him at the very first sight and was surprised.

She looked at her husband who was not at all surprised or shocked like her instead he made a poker face. She understood that he already know about it.

Kunal greeted them with a smile "Hello Mr. Pratap, it's very nice to meet you again" and then turned towards Sony's mother "Hello, Mrs. Kaur. I am Kunal Rajput. It's pleasure to meet you. You look lovely in real than in photos". With that he handed over the bouquet of flowers.

Mrs. Kaur was even more shocked by his sweet words and she smiled and said "Hello, Kunal. Thank you for the beautiful flowers. Please have a seat".

Sony was a bit relieved and she excused herself saying "I will go make some tea for you guys" and rushed into the kitchen.

The atmosphere in the room turned awkward with silence and Kunal broke the silence saying "Well, today I am here to ask for your permission". He jumped straight to the point.

Pratap said in a firm tone "I am not going to give you any permission. I already told you to stay away from my daughter. didn't I ?".

Kunal replied with a smile "You told me that if I am not serious with her. didn't you?. But I am serious with her. But now I am here today because I wanted to ask you something else".

Sony's mom looked at her husband and wondered when did all this happen without her knowledge. She realised how far she is staying from her family.

She didn't react irrationally like her husband instead she asked Kunal with a calm face "Okay, What do you want ?"

Kunal said "My friend Abhishek Malhotra is getting engaged with Shriya Sheren, she is a friend of Sony".

"Actually my best friend." They heard the soft but firm voice and looked in the direction of the source of that voice. They saw Sony walking towards them with a tray in her hands and she gave the tea to everyone and sat in the single sofa which is opposite to Kunal.

Pratap ignored them and asked "That girl is getting engaged. That's good news". Sony looked at her father bright eyes with confusion and he said adjusting his emotions "Okay, so what. When ?".

Kunal gave a sigh of relief and said "It's on February 14 in Dubai. So Shriya wants her to be there at that moment".

Sony was stunned for a moment and asked Kunal "Isn't it somewhere else. Shriya told me something else."

Kunal said shrugging his shoulders innocently "Well, I don't know. Last night he called me and said there is a change in plan. Maybe security reasons or he want to surprise her".

Sony nodded her head and Pratap coughed to remind them of his presence and Kunal said "She will be happy if Sony is there with her at that time".

Pratap asked "But I am afraid she can't go. She don't have a passport with her". Pratap liked Varun very much just like his son and now his sister is friends with his daughter. He already accepted it thinking that it must be some fate for them to become friends and he don't have a problem with her going there.

Kunal said "Yesterday, Shri, Sony and their other friends who are attending the ceremony went to passport office and I guess the passport will be here in ten days."

Both her parents looked at Sony with poker faces. She already decided to go there and even applied for passport and it was now she is asking for their permission after everything is set.
