He shook his head confidently "I already did a background check on you and I know you are an honest girl. I am expecting tobe your friend for a while now".

Shriya nodded her head and said "What will be our relationship then ?". Actually she is hesitating to ask that thing but she wants tobe clear in that aspect. But he said with the same confidence in his eyes "Of course, you will be my best friend or what else is there. But I will be Preeti's godfather."

"It will be my responsibility to see that you two live a better and a comfortable life and all you have to do is give me some company and some care." He looked at her and understood she was hesitating, so he said "Don't you want that little kid to lead a better life."

She asked "what other's think of me and what about your other friends. How will you explain this to them ?".

He said with a smile understanding that she was wavering "You don't have to worry about that. I promise you of all the respect you deserve from me and others. And If you want I will keep our friendship a secret too".

She looked at him and he said "Please help me." He put on such a pitiful act that Shriya almost melted with his expressions. She already know the pain of a lonely person and she saw herself in him and couldn't bear to say no. Afterall the deal was a mutual benefit for both of them and it's far better than losing her character.

She nodded her head agreeing to his proposal. Though she didn't know what will be the consequences and where this decision will take her in the future but she has not many choices before her and the present situation is one of the best among others.

Then that night he spoke to her about his childhood saying that he was brought up in America and how he has only a few friends there and ever since he came to India, he was living a lonely life.

He also added "Do you know one funny thing about me. Everyone thinks I am very successful and I must be happy and proud about my achievements. But the truth is the more I achieve, the more depressed and frightened I will be".

She was shocked and pitied him and she believed each and every word he told her. She held his hand and said with a smile "I am your friend from now on and tou cam te me anything" and patted his hands.

He smiled at her and she was exhausted because of the long and emotional day. She yawned subconsciously and he understood that she must be tired and sleepy. He placed a quick peck on her forehead. She was shocked but he smiled at her and asked her to sleep saying "Good night dear."

Then he walked up to the large couch in the room which is really long enough for a tall man like him to sleep on it. He laid on it not bothering to wear a shirt and Shriya didn't dare to wear her top too. It will only lead to misunderstandings she thought. With that both fell into deep sleep.

When both Sony and Brahmini heard all the story, they couldn't help but laugh out loud. Shriya looked at them and tried to silence them by placing her finger on her lips "Shhh guys, everyone is staring at us."

Sony teased "You are the most innocent and naive girl I have ever met. You are completely fooled by him".

Brahmini also laughed but she said "It's true that he tricked you but I guess it's not your fault. Knowing his acting skills you are bound to believe him."

Shriya sighed in helplessnes "Even I thought the same. If he were to become a story writer, I believe he will have a great future".

Shriya said "Later, I met Manvi and Uday and I understood that they all knew about me for so long. Abhi just made up a story to make me accept his deal. But I really liked the change afterall Preeti is safe and sound and as he promised he really dotes on her. But I didn't expect the love story".

Brahmini asked "Why ?" and her friend replied "At first I was afraid to accept my own feelings and also his feelings for me when he said. But later I believed him and not only him but his brother, Dad and Grandpa also gave a positive sign. Kunal and everyone around us made me realise that status doesn't come in between love".

Sony and Brahmini are happy for her friend. Classes were suspended for the day because of less number of students. Shriya received a call from Rahul and she answered his call without thinking much into it.

Rahul said on the other end of the line "Hey Sisla, I want to talk to you". He didn't wish and directly jumped to the point.

Shriya thought that something must have happened back at the Mansion or to Preeti and asked with worry "What ?"

He replied hearing her worried tone "Realx, I just want to talk to you about something personal and need a help from you?".
