Shriya had a beautiful smile on her face and she looked more relaxed and happy than any other day. She always seemed like she was missing something very badly, and she always felt empty no matter what Abhi does to make her feel better. But today she was different and she looked more lively than ever as if she found that something important which she lost in the past.

Abhi didn't fail to notice this change in her and asked "Something good happened today. Doesn't it ?".

She looked at him but didn't reply. She just smiled and he asked again "What is it ?".

Shriya smiled and replied "You sure know me well."

He replied with confident look "That, I know. But you didn't answer me".

She then signalled him with her eyes to look towards the couch and his sight followed her gaze. He saw a white beautiful scarf which is lying on the couch. He observed it and saw the tag still on and asked "You went shopping ?".

Shriya shook her hand and said "No, Naveen bought it for me".

Abhi raised his eyebrows in surprise and she said "Today I had a heart to heart talk with him".

Now Abhi was really shocked and he exclaimed "Really" with a nod "uh..that's interesting." Though he looked indifferent she could see in his eyes that this piece of news is new to him which means he really didn't ask Naveen to talk to her.

She knew he didn't do from the beginning but she wanted to make sure once again. Afterall he will do anything to make her feel better.

He then asked "But why so suddenly?". He didn't understand 'why Naveen bought her a scarf so suddenly ?', so he asked out if curiosity. When she heard this she was fake anger and answered him with a mocking tone "Thanks to certain someone who left his mark on my neck and made it bruise".

Abhi leaned back and saw the red bruise on her neck and a smile psinted in his face. Shriya said "Naveen saw it this morning and he bought me this scarf to cover it. Then in the afternoon we went for a coffee and we had some personal talk".

Abhi was surprised again. He was a bit jealous but he was happy that she accepted another person in her life wholeheartedly other than him. He smiled and asked curiously "So what did you two talk about ?"

Shriya shook her head and said in her casual tone "Nothing serious just some random stuff".

Abhi turned towards her and pinched her nose tip with his fingers and asked "So just some random stuff made you this happy".

She smiled and said with a bright smile on her lips "Well I am happy because I felt like I met my brother when I spoke to Naveen today".

Abhi looked at her and she understood that he was waiting for her to continue "We spoke about you and he was concerned about my safety and also about my love life with you."

Abhi raised his eyebrows and listened to her. She then looked at him and said "You know I had some strange feeling after meeting him."

"You know my brother Varun never fought with other guys becuase of me. Back then, whenever I was bullied by others, he helped me to fight with them. He never involved in my fight directly. He let me fight on my own and believed in me and he made me realise about the strength within me."

Abhi just stared at her and listened to her. No matter how long she blabbered or talked some nonsense, he is willing to listen to her. He hummed to let her know that he was listening to her and she continued "But now I realised, even Naveen did the same a few times".

Abhi looked at her questioningly because he didn't understand her. She understood and said "Naveen was there with me all the time but when I had a fight with Aksha at the Univeristy and also that macho fellow in the campus who tried to bully me, he didn't involve right away. And then with Geetika at the trail room and also in the party, he didn't even bother to stand behind me, he let me fight on my own.

"He came in between only when Vishnu tried to bully me at the ocean cream parlour.It was just what my brother would have done if he was there."

Abhi looked at her and he couldnot help but smile seeing his woman being so happy. Though he was not the one who is responsible for her happiness this time but he was happy for her.

Abhi said "Well Its almost time. Go and change, he will be here anytime". He was referring to his friend Harry.

Shriya nodded her head and went into her room to change. Just then Abhi heard the door bell ring and he went to answer that. There stood Harry wearing dark blue torn jeans and a white shirt over it leaning against the entrance.

Abhi invited him inside and offered him a bottle of water. They both sat in the living room couch and started to discuss.

Abhi said with a concerned look "What exactly are you planning to do ?." Harry looked at his friend and asked mocking "Are you drunk ?"

Abhi slapped on his friend's shoulder with his fists and the other whined in pain "Sh't man, that hurts".

Abhi ignored him and said "We need not do this" and after a moment of thought he again said "Don't over do it. I will be here."

Harry said in a serious tone "You need to go out leaving her here alone with me here ?".
