He didn't reply to her and focused on his food.

They finished their meal and Nyla paid the bill using a card she had in her purple hobo bag.

They came to Rio's apartment and went to his bedroom where the VR pod was.

She fixed her clothes and hair as if preparing for something grand. She cleared her throat with an "Ahem" and turned her eyes towards Rio.

"Military schools and the outside world play a popular game 'Kingdom of Beast.' This game lets you fight different ranked beasts people have encountered in the land of asuras.

It even has Boss mode which lets you fight some beast's Bosses from each stage that you can't find in the land of asura. There is also an open arena for dual and team matches. But this game has no use except for school classes, tournaments, and sharpening your battle skills.

This VR helmet you see, can record all attributes of your body. Anything you do in the real world with your skills you can do in the game.

The only downside is that it can't record your abilities and attributes to the master server. It gets deleted when you put the VR helmet down." She explained about the VR pod that was in front of them.

She said, "Go put it on your head, I'll guide you."

Rio moved towards the pod and lay on the white reclining chair. He put on the head-mounting device that covered his eyes, which was the VR helmet.

"Press the start button and the login screen will come up. You need to make an account using your AI watch as it will automatically sync when you select 'Create an account.'

This will send you to the character creation menu. There, you can modify your avatar and set an in-game name. Then you're ready to go for the next step" her sweet voice sounded beside him.

He touched the start button on the helmet and his AI watch flashed. An AI voice sounded in his mind.

[You are now connected to the VR Helmet.]

Option with the "Create an account" title floated in front of his vision. He selected it with a thought.

He saw many colorful parallel-lines like light running in front of him and the next second he was in a white room.

His body was displayed in front of him. There was an option to modify the height, skin tone, hairstyle, hair color, tattoos, and armor.

Rio just took a preset battle armor that was fully black and a white mask that hid his face completely. It had blue stripes going from above the eyes to down below the jaw which made it look quite stylish.

After picking what he wanted, he selected "Confirm."

A message appeared in front of him.

[Select a Name]

He typed "Rio."

[Not Available. Try again.]

'What should I pick? Maybe RedHairHero?'

[Not Available. Try again.]

'That is also not available. Okay, let's hope this works.'

[Not Available. Try again.]

[Your username has been set to EastWind]

After failing continuously to find a name he wanted he finally saw the message that released him from his annoyance.

'East Wind' had many meanings but Rio knew two of them. First was the Destruction of the wicked. The second one was a frightening force that set down waste to all in its way as It hunts down the unworthy and plucks them from their root.

"Finally this is done… it was unexpected for nobody to pick this unique name." Rio sighed in relief as the name got accepted in the character creation menu.

He was transported to another empty room with white walls after those colorful parallel-line light animations happened in front of him.

There were different options floating on the sides but he decided to inform Nyla first.

"I created a character." He spoke to Nyla as he walked around the empty room in the VR game.

"What's your username in the game?" She asked in a curious voice.

"EastWind without space" He mumbled.

"Okay, wait here. I'll go to my room and log in. I'll send you a friend request so don't forget to accept it." She said and walked out of the room at a fast pace without waiting for his reply.

After 2 minutes, a notification came and a message appeared in front of Rio while he was waiting in the empty room.

'Is purple her favorite?'

He selected 'accept' as he guessed who it could be.

'Accept.'

The scene around him changed and he was transported to another empty space.

He saw a figure waving their hand at him who was standing twenty meters apart.

She was wearing purple armor and a white ribbon was tied to her silky Magenta hair.

They both moved towards each other.

"Oh boy, Your cool-looking crimson hair was already making my heartbeat go on a rampage. Now, this white mask is adding a layer of mystery around you. It is forcing me to have a crush on you.

You're slaying this young lady's heart with your bewitching looks. Heaven won't forgive you, EastWind." Nyla said in a sarcastic sorrowful voice and put the back of her palm on her forehead in a dramatic manner while inclining her head with closed eyes in heaven's direction which made her look like a bullied girl by our dear Rio.
