As Rio swallowed the fruit, a chilling sensation spread throughout his body, making him shudder as if he was being encased in ice.
The sensation slowly dissipated, and he began to feel a warm and comforting energy filling him up. His eyes took on a golden hue, and a golden aura enveloped him, emanating the same calming energy he had felt before.
Simultaneously, a powerful surge of spiritual energy radiated from Rio's body, flooding the surrounding area with its intense aura. The energy was so potent that even Eve, sitting beside him, could feel its soothing effects, boosting her own spiritual energy towards the peak of the Heavenly Realm.
Rio's body was able to digest and absorb most of the energy released by the fruit, but there were still remnants of it that leaked out, benefiting Eve and aiding her progress towards the peak level of the Heavenly Realm.
Though already in the Heavenly Realm, there were still ranks within it - beginner, intermediate, and peak level - and the energy from the fruit was helping her advance even further.
Meanwhile, Rio savored the fruit's taste, his mind filling with a sense of tranquility and calmness.
Suddenly, he felt a shift in his consciousness, as if something within him was expanding. A small pond within his mind's sea started to grow larger and larger, transforming into an endless ocean filled with untapped potential and possibilities.
As he marveled at this incredible expansion, it was as if the fruit had unlocked a hidden realm within him, one filled with fantastical elements he had never imagined before.
His mind's sea opened up and expanded, revealing a vast space where the beast souls resided. It was as if the space could now hold millions of beast souls, compared to the previous limit of only thousands.
The sensation left him feeling both amazed and humbled, as he realized the true potential of the sacred fruit's power.
His vision, even without using [Heaven's Eyes], everything appeared crisp and clear. Colors were more vibrant, and he could discern the tiniest details with ease. He marveled at the intricate patterns on butterfly wings and the delicate veins on tree leaves that had previously required the use of [Heaven's Eyes].
After taking a moment to appreciate his enhanced eyesight, Rio turned to Eve and asked, "This has definitely improved my spiritual energy, but what's my current rank?"
"Your spiritual energy rank has now reached the Heavenly Realm. With some practice using your battle techniques, you'll be able to take on strong enemies, or even entire armies," Eve said, with a soft smile on her lips.
The boy's joy was evident upon hearing the news, but he couldn't help feeling curious about what came next. "Is there anything else I should do after reaching this rank?" he asked the elven beauty.
"We are finished with that, Rio. But you still have the mystic egg, and I suggest you make use of it," she said, waving her hand.
Suddenly, a blood-red egg appeared, its crimson color a manifestation of the countless corpses and spilled blood it had absorbed from the battlefield.
As Rio held his hand over the mystic egg, he channeled his mana into it, and a bright light illuminated the surrounding area.
The egg seemed to pulsate with an otherworldly energy, and as Rio continued to pour his mana into it, the egg began to glow with an ethereal blue light.
As the light grew brighter and brighter, the egg started to crack and break apart, revealing a pulsating blue orb within. The orb glowed with an intense energy, and it seemed to be alive, moving and pulsing on its own.
Eve's expression turned from surprise to a knowing smile as she watched with excitement, her eyes glittering with anticipation as she observed the transformation. Having known about this before, she knew exactly what was coming next.
Unsure of its usage, Rio observed the orb as it streaked toward him and disappeared into his left chest, merging with his current heart.
A notification rang in his mind, causing his eyes to widen in surprise as he read the description.
Rio was pleased to receive the mana heart, but he could sense that it hadn't made a significant difference, apart from the sensation of the mana heart merging with his current heart on his left side.
The mana heart had not yet awakened, as it seemed to deem him unworthy. He sighed, accepting its judgment for now.
The boy turned to face Eve, his eyes shining with gratitude and affection.
He gave her a soft smile before speaking, "Thank you for everything, Eve. You know that I consider you more than just a partner, as I declared in front of Layla. I think this belongs to you now,"
As he spoke, Rio moved closer to Eve and gently pressed his lips against hers, surprising her with a tender yet warm kiss. In that moment, a notification resounded in his mind.
As Rio was about to pull away after forming the pact, he felt Eve's delicate hands on his cheeks, urging him to continue the kiss. Without any hesitation, their lips remained intertwined, savoring the beautiful bond that had developed between them.
