Chapter 213: Three-Tail Silver Fox
Previously, Nyla wasn't planning to acquire two directions' special beasts on the same day because she didn't think they were capable of doing it but this was feasible now since they had one full night to complete their task.
Rio was resting all the way toward their next destination as the boy needed to recover his mana and be in his best form to be ready for the fight.
Nyla only fought whenever they encountered any other AI beasts but most of the time they tried to avoid the creatures as the duo was both planning to take down the special beast as soon as possible.
They marched in the direction of the south, their path illuminated only by the soft gleam of the moon and stars above.
As they traveled, the terrain slowly began to shift, with gentle hills giving way to steeper slopes and jagged rocks.
They had come upon a mountain, its peak shrouded in mist and bathed in an eerie blue glow. The air around them become chilly and more biting as they climbed the ascended land on their white wolf mount, their breaths coming out in misty puffs.
Despite the icy condition, the duo didn't care and reached the top of the mountain. What welcomed them was a breathtaking view of the world below, The distant flicker of campfires dotted the horizon which was a testament to the other teams' presence who were camping on the island.
"Do you think we will be able to find the beast's location from this height?" Nyla asked in puzzlement.
"The special beast must be kept hidden somewhere, they wouldn't leave it to wander in the wild. My innate skill will work better here to find any possible place where the special beast might be kept." Rio said, his gaze sweeping across the dense forest from the top of the mountain as he was searching for any hint of their next target.
He turned around to look in the southern direction where rough stony terrain was present.
Soon his eyes noticed a small opening in the mountain wall's side. It looked like a cave, and he couldn't help but feel this might be the hidden location.
"Nyla, look over there." He said, with a gleam of hope in his eyes.
The girl noticed the hidden cave as her face brightened, thinking they finally found their target but they couldn't confirm the location unless they actually saw the special beast.
The mountain cave was not visible at first as it was at the very side of the terrain. Unless one passed closely from there they wouldn't able to discover it.
Taking cautious steps, they traveled towards the cavern and entered it, and as their eyes adjusted to the dark, they saw a stream trickling through the rock floor. The sound of the water resounded through the cave, making it feel like a sacred sanctuary.
As they moved forward, they saw a figure in the distance. It was a silver beast, laying near the stream of water with closed eyes.
The creature was small but powerful, with a sleek and shiny silver coat on its body with three tails that were swaying as if it was awake and not sleeping.
Nyla could feel its immense power emanating from it, making her heart beat with thrill and fear.
Rio signaled to Nyla to be silent as they watched the beast drink. They didn't want to startle it, or they could risk losing the chance to strike it first. They had to be careful, so they slowly hid to the side to hide from the sight of the beast.
"It doesn't look like a special beast," Nyla said in his thoughts.
"Wait a minute, let me confirm," Rio responded and used his [Heaven's Eyes] to inspect the beast.

"It's a special beast and stronger than both of us." The boy said.
He discovered the physical power of the creature which was greater than both Nyla and Him. They needed to play smart to be able to defeat this beast.
"What are we going to do?" Nyla asked nervously in his thought.
"Same plan but this time it will be risky." He answered.
"Why?" The girl asked with puzzlement.
The boy pointed towards their ceiling, explaining his reason without saying any words.
"Oh... Then you prepare I will wait outside." Nyla understood.
Without a word, she slipped out of the cave, her footsteps light as a feather.
Rio prepared for the worst, his mind focused on the task at hand. He knew that the cavern would collapse from the sheer force of the explosion, whether the beast survived or not.
As the girl went out of the cave, He used his battle technique arts, casting [Overload Destroyed] with [Obliteration of Heaven].
A glowing orb formed in his palm, its power pulsing with intensity. Rio charged the attack with ninety percent of his mana, taking aim at the special beast resting in the distance.
As the [Heaven Destroyer] hurtled towards the silver beast, its golden eyes flashed open in response to the incoming danger.
The orb blazed a bright blue, cracking with thunder as it closed in on its target. The special beast darted away with lightning reflexes without wasting time, narrowly avoiding the strike as it struck the ground.
The blue orb collided with the ground, unleashing an explosive force that shook the entire cave.
The shockwave hit Rio's body as he darted out of the cave, his figure was enveloped in buzzing thunder as He sprinted towards Nyla, who was waiting on Frosty Mount and signaled her to run.
As the debris rained down around them, Rio teleported behind the girl on her mount and instinctively wrapped his arms around Nyla, shielding her from the falling rocks and dust.
