Chapter 181 Uncertain Ring Ceremony
The room was drowned in silence as Rio took out the Exalted Clover Ring from his wondrous forest realm space. The ring's blue gemstone glimmered in the candle's light in the room, casting a blue sheen that seemed to brighten up the entire place even though it wasn't really spreading that much radiance.
The boy held out the exalted clover ring to her, "This was the reward of the Saintess trial and also the first piece of the map for the Forbidden Land."
Rio showed the treasure to his wifey, Lia's eyes were surprised as she gazed upon the ring, its intricate old design and sparkling blue gem capturing her attention. She reached out her hand tentatively as the white-haired beauty could feel a magical aura coming from it.
"Saintess said the ring can only be equipped by someone who doesn't let greed take over their heart and I think you would be the perfect candidate for it but you can also decide whom you would want to give it to." Rio encouraged, and a feeble smile flashed across his face.
The boy wanted Lia to decide what to do with the exalted clover ring as it was a treasure that would boost someone's strength and they were all one family.
With a look of surprise and wonder, Lia took the ring from Rio's hand, as the cold metal brushed past her soft skin. She caressed the surface of the blue gemstone as Lia looked at Rio, she questioned, "Are you sure you don't want this exalted clover ring? This especially has chosen you as the Master."
"I might be weakest among our team right now but In the future, I will easily surpass you all. So it's better we use this treasure to boost someone's else strength." Rio responded as he didn't want to be greedy for this exalted clover ring and share it with his girls.
"Although Saintess made you the master of this ring, even if one of your girls has this treasure you still remain the master since it will be used by one of your women," Lia said with a gentle smile.
"Good job Big sis, You already calling Sister Helia his woman," Nyla said from the opposite side of the circular table as she stopped eating to respond to her.
The Lioness was already embarrassed by their conversation early and the magenthaired beauty was picking on her again but Lia noticed that her sister was acting weird after she had come back from the Desert so she decided to give her some space and support her.
"Helia once said she wouldn't leave my side to marry another man so she is a permanent member of our small family even if she doesn't marry Rio," Lia said as she could see her sister was getting embarrassed by Nyla's remark. She thought to give her way and accept Rio herself when she was ready and not force things because of Nyla's teasing.
After she was done supporting her sister, The white-haired beauty continued, "I already know what Rio's strengths are, and I'm also aware of mine and Helia's as we have the advantage of being an asura. So this exalted clover ring will help Nyla the most to boost her power as she is the weakest among us right now."
Lia declared the new owner of the exalted clover ring as she passed the treasure to the magenthaired beauty.
Hearing her announcement, Rio and Helia were both happy for the lively girl but Nyla was stupifying as she didn't think the ring would come back to her. She initially wanted to get the exalted clover ring for Rio but had to leave her position as the participant for the treasure as she didn't want to cause conflict in the team.
"No Big sister, I don't want this treasure. It will be a waste if I take it and moreover, I can't keep this exalted clover ring safe. It's the first piece of the map for the forbidden land and is a very crucial key to reaching the second piece." Nyla showed her reluctance to take it.
"Don't worry about the safety of the treasure as Either Rio or Helia will be with you wherever you go," Lia said with a gentle voice.
"But..." The magenthaired beauty wanted to say further.
However, Lia handed the exalted clover ring to Rio and demanded, "Put the ring on her ring finger. Let it become a memento of us all."
"As you say, your highness." Rio bowed down like a sincere subject of the empress and put the spoon down on the plate before taking the ring from her hand.
The boy walked around the table and stopped in front of Nyla's chair who had a tentative look. He went on his knees like a guy who was proposing to their lover for the first time and asked her, "Give me your hand, Miss Purple Fairy."
Nyla spread her hand to him as a vibrant and shy smile radiated on her adorable face, her heart was feeling as if thousands of butterflies were fluttering their wings over it. She could feel a warmth taking inside her as she was happy because Rio was on his knees like a man proposing to their crush.
Rio used his left hand to hold hers and placed the exalted clover ring on her fourth finger and slid it upward as the blue gem flickered with light and the ring itself shrank a little to fit perfectly on Nyla's finger.
A sound of applaud resounded in the room as Lia and Helia celebrated the duo's uncertain ring ceremony.
"Congrats you two, for becoming a couple once again." Lia cheered for Rio and his Purple fairy.
