'You won't be able to catch him.' Vasu said as he raced along with Ariana and Rahul. "I won't give up!" Ariana shouted as sweat started to roll down her face. 'Are you willing to do anything to get the ribbon back?' Rahul asked as he watched Ariana. "Yes!" She shouted as loud as she could. 'Do not blame me than!' Rahul said as he dove downwards. "Rahul where are you? Ahhhhhh!" Ariana screamed as Rahul used his body to make her lose her footing. She stepped on his squishy body and he sent her flying into the air.

'Ariana!' Vasu yelled as she started to fall back down face first. She pulled in her arms and crossed them over her chest, hoping to roll as she impacted, minimizing the damage. She closed her eyes tight as she balled herself up, waiting for pain. After a second she didn't feel the hard road scrapping against her skin instead she felt warm and safe. She quickly opened her eyes and saw a very worried Cayden. "Why?!" Cayden shouted as he looked at Rahul then Ariana. "You could have seriously gotten hurt!" He said breathlessly as he looked down at her face.

Ariana blinked a few times as he cradled her in his arms. "Are you making fun of me?" She whispered as she reached up and gently brushed Cayden's medium fringe to the side. "No." Cayden sighed as he tried to catch his breath. "Don't be silly." He continued as he brought her body close and sat down. "You're fast." Ariana mumbled against his chest making his whole body go stiff. "No... I heard you scream and thought the worst.... When I saw you falling, I just... just reacted." He said as he slowly released her.

Ariana slowly moved away from Cayden's chest and brought her gaze up to meet his. "I'm not mad at you anymore." She said quietly. A smile started to spread across Cayden's face. "I promise." She sighed as she hugged him back. "Sigh... I took your ribbon because I wanted to keep a part of you only to myself... I hated that I was told we couldn't be together. I swore I wouldn't... have feelings for you but I couldn't stop myself." He said as he burried his face into her hair.

"Cayden." Ariana whispered. Cayden tightened his embrace and started to sniff her hair as he wrapped a lock around his finger. "Listen, I will get that engagement cancelled. I will leave tonight to go to the Remo Estate then talk to the Brentons. I will do anything to become free... I might not be able to come back right away. I know it's not fair to you, you'll have to face everyone on your own... I will have the guys keep watch over you so that your safe. So please wait for me." Cayden said making Ariana's heart swell.

"What a silly question to ask. Of course I will wait... I mean that's all I have been doing, right?" Ariana giggled. "Oh." Cayden shuddered. "Sorry, I need to hold you a little bit longer." Ariana could feel Cayden's heart beat rise after she agreed. He gently parted her hair from her neck and brought his lips to the crevice. Ariana shuddered as she felt Cayden slowly suck. "Leaving me mark." He said as he pulled away.

"Cayden... I lo-?!" Ariana was immediately silenced with a gentle kiss. "Wait until I'm back." He said before he started to move. He quickly got off the road and dusted off his dark blue dress pants. He then extended his hand out to help Ariana up. She looked up at him, the sun caught his hair and made it look golden, as if a halo was place right above his head. She absentmindedly stretched out her hand. Cayden grabbed it and gently helped her up. "You're so beautiful." She whispered.

Ariana said with a bittersweet smile.

Cayden laughed as he held her hand. "So a beautiful man and the goddess of love, passion, pleasure and procreation? I don't think it's that far from the truth... I mean there is some things that are similar between you and Aphrodite." Cayden said as he leaned in close. Ariana could feel her heart skip a beat as Cayden's face moved in closer. She closed her eyes and waited but nothing happened. Cayden laughed and then placed a sweet kiss on her forehead. "Come on I'll walk you back." He said as he grabbed her hand. "So Adonis, you find him beautiful too?" Cayden asked nonchalantly. "Of course!" Ariana giggled as she watched Cayden's reaction.

"Jellyfish are so mesmerizing when they swim through the water. They're like giant flowers in the ocean, opening and closing as the move elegantly. A trail of tentacles acting like the wind as they follow the flower... How is it not beautiful?" Ariana asked. Adonis quickly appeared in front of her and stretched out his tentacles. 'Ariana!' "Cayden, it's just Adonis. You don't have to be so mean." Ariana said as she stepped around and tried to reach for him.

"He's a male!" Cayden said firmly as he narrowed his gaze at Ariana. Ariana couldn't help but stare in silence. "Are you jealous?" She asked in awe. "No!" Cayden quickly shouted as he took a step back and pulled Adonis along with him. "You are!" Ariana laughed. "No I'm not!" Cayden said furiously as he walked ahead. "You so are! Cayden, it's just Adonis he was with me first before you became his master." Ariana said as she chased after Cayden. "Quiet." Cayden said as he tossed Adonis into the air. Then grabbed Ariana and covered her mouth. Ariana paled as he held her. "Sorry." He said awkwardly and quickly let her go.

Ariana was confused. She looked at Cayden with a hurt expression. She didn't mean to tease him to the point he got mad, she couldn't look at him any longer and dropped her gaze to the ground. Cayden said as he moved his hand from Ariana's hair to her chin. Lifting up her face and having her meet his remorseful gaze.

Ariana instantly forgave him and felt herself melting under his touch. "Okay..." She said. Cayden sighed in relief as he let her go. "Can I hug him now?" Ariana asked with hopeful eyes. "No." Cayden said flatly. "Cayden!" Ariana shouted. "Nope! You're mine, no one else can touch you." He said with a cheeky smile before grabbing her hand and walking again. Ariana became furious, she puffed out her cheeks ad she walked along side him in silence. Cayden peeked over at her and couldn't help but laugh as he poked her cheek. "Cute." He said with a bright smile. While Ariana quickly deflated. "Cayden?" Ariana called out. "Mmmh?"

She quickly looked around and saw no one was in sight. "Why are you using Adonis as your familiar?" She asked quietly. Cayden stopped and looked at Ariana. "Soon, I promise I will tell you everything soon." He said as he looked into her eyes. "Ariana?" He said as she drifted into her own thoughts. "Ya?" She said as she focused on him. "Mrs. Dabney... she's safe to talk to." Cayden said cautiously. Ariana's eyes widened in surprise and she quickly averted her gaze. "I have already talked to her." Ariana said quietly. Cayden gripped her hand making her turn to him. "That's not what I'm trying to tell you." Cayden said in a low tone.

"She knows what happened with Flint, so does Mr. Dabney." She admitted. "No... Ariana. You can talk to her." He said a little more firmly as he leaned in. "About your ability." He whispered. Ariana's eyes widened. "I don't want to." Ariana said as she turned her face away. "I won't force you." Cayden said with a sigh as he straightened up his back. "I just wanted to let you know. You can talk to her." Ariana nodded her head in understanding. "I'll keep it in mind."

"Talk!" Halina shouted as she, Talisha and Edlyn rushed into the room. Ariana was sitting cross legged on her bed. She had already changed into her pajamas and was happily sketching in her book. "Hmm?" She said as she looked up. "Don't hmm us. We want to hear what happened after your escape with Cayden." Talisha said with a smirk. "I mean it must have been good since you have that on your neck." She continued with a nod. Ariana quickly covered the hickey with her hands and blushed. "I don't kiss and tell!" She shouted as she averted her gaze.

"Oh come on! I'm dying to hear all the juicy details!" Halina shouted as she quickly changed into her pajamas. "We can treat it as a sleep over! We even brought back snacks." Halina said as Edlyn pulled out white paper bags and held them up for Ariana to see. "We have been sleeping in the same room for almost a week and now you want a sleep over?" Ariana asked suspiciously. "We weren't as close as we are now." Edlyn pointed out as she placed the paper bags on her bed.

"Look there is no harm in talking to your friends." Talisha said as she changed. "Friends?" Ariana asked as she raised an eyebrow. "Oh don't give me that crap! You know we are friends now I said so earlier. Besides I actually mean it now since we all stuck up for Edlyn, danced and laughed." Talisha said bashfully. Her round cheeks turned pink and her eyes sparkled with an innocent hope, Ariana could help but think that she was adorable.

"I thought we were friends way before that." Halina said with a pout. "I've been your friend since our first date." Edlyn chimed in with a humpf. Ariana looked around and couldn't help but swell with happiness. "Yes, I'll admit it. I thought of you as my friends too."

"Good! Now spill!" Halina shouted as she jumped onto Ariana's bed. "What no! We need to do this properly. Let's set up the snacks! I wish we had a mini fridge then we could always have cold drinks anytime." Ariana said as she made space on her bed. "A mini fridge?" Talisha asked as she walked to Ariana's bed. "A tiny version of a refrigerator for the room." Edlyn quickly answered. "Oh that would be amazing!" Halina squealed as she looked around the room. "We would have to figure out where to put it though." Halina said as she tapped an index finger against her cheek.

"I'll grab some drinks, I'll be right back." Talisha said as she watched Ariana suspiciously. "I promise we won't start talking until you get back." Ariana said as she broke out into a cold sweat. "Better not." Talisha said as she reached for the door.

It didn't take long for Talisha to come back with four glasses and a pitcher of juice. "Fantastic." Halina said as she grabbed the glasses from Talisha and passed them around. Talisha poured everyone a glass and put the half empty pitcher on a shelf in Ariana's cubby. "Before I get into it, honestly it wasn't what you think. I want to know what happened at the party." Ariana said as she grabbed a date square. "Xander asked Edlyn to dance! Repeatedly! She wasn't allowed to be with anyone else." Halina said as a wide grin stretched from ear to ear. Ariana looked at Edlyn and waited with great anticipation.

"We are not together if that's what you want to know." Edlyn said as she blushed. "But you want to be." Ariana teased. "I-I-I." Edlyn stuttered as she turned a crimson red. "Oh and Flint came to talk to us." Halina said with a raised eyebrow. "You are a little heartbreaker! I need to get some, hey... you okay?" Halina said as she placed a gentle hand onto Ariana's knee. "What did he say to you?" Ariana asked. Her face had turned deathly pale and her eyes were wide with horror. "Uh, um... Hr just asked about your relationship with Cayden." Halina said as she turned to Talisha. "Said it wasn't any of his business." Talisha answered.

"You okay though?" Halina asked as she caught sight of Edlyn who had gone eerily quiet. "No." Ariana answered truthfully. "Hey you know you can talk to us." Halina said in a gentle voice. Ariana eyes started to water, she quickly looked at her date square as she tried to calm down. "Mrs. Dabney said I should talk about it more... that the more I do the less power it will have over me." Ariana said as tears dropped down onto the hand that was holding the square.

"What are you talking about?" Halina said awkwardly while Talisha and Edlyn stayed quiet. "I am not the one at fault... I am a victim." Ariana said in a shaky voice. "No you're not a victim." Talisha said. Ariana brought up her gaze and looked at Talisha with hurt and confusion. "You're a survivor. You are strong, you fought, you won and you're here now. So you are a survivor." Talisha said in a calm voice.

"Sh*t.... So Flint did that to you..." Halina said then quickly turned to Ophelia. She was surprised that her familiar said nothing and just laid in her bed. Halina smiled at Ophelia then turned to face Ariana, her smile was instantly replaced with worry. "Yes... then he tried to get the Headmaster to force me to sign an official engagement contract." Ariana said as she recalled the horrible memory. "No f*cking way!" Talisha shouted angrily. "I found out later that Cayden beat him senseless in the Headmaster's office and was detained afterwards."

"So that's why he missed the Summoning Ceremony." Talisha said as she calmed down. "Talisha you knew Cayden before Ariana pointed him out?" Edlyn asked as she eyed Talisha. "I... might have." Talisha said awkwardly. "How?" Ariana and Halina asked in unison. "I may have run into him a couple of times... I'm not really sure."
