'Mas-Ariana, your teacher means business!' Aroha shouted. Ariana looked at her chibi bird and started to grind her teeth. "Fine! Aroha to me! Loralei, on my mark bring the wall down." She shouted. 'Yes!' Loralei shouted back as Aroha turned into a light blue streak of light. Ariana closed her eyes and found herself standing infront of the podiums. She walked up to her baby blue starburst and smiled. "Aroha... can I tap into Celestite's power. Just a little bit, I know I can only control water when she's like this but..." Ariana started to say but Celestite was already bouncing in delight.

"Nevermind... I think I have my answer." Ariana said as she reached out. 'Do not go over board!' Aroha warned. Ariana opened her eyes and a grin spread across her face. "I won't." She said as her hands started to glow a soft blue. She then took a deep breath in and started to collect the moisture from the air. "Alright you two, let's fight with all we have!" Ariana shouted and Loralei dropped the wall. Ariana flicked her wrists as Mr. Dabney charged laughing.

Two chakrams materialized in Ariana's hands. She wanted to admire the weapon but Mr. Dabney was closing in on her fast she quickly brought up the weapon made of rapid, circulating water and blocked his fire sabers. Ariana caught sight of Mr. Dabney bringing round his leg and she jumped back barely missing his round house kick. Ariana threw her first chakram at her teacher and watched as it elegantly spun through the air. Mr. Dabney laughed and sliced the weapon in half but to his surprise the weapon did not disappear instead it multipled.

He sliced it again as one of the chakram came towards him, then another and another. He sighed and the students watched as he tossed the green, flaming sabers into the air and disintegrate. Mr. Dabney duck, slid and dodged all the chakram copies as they spun wildly around him. "Ahi eraztuna!" Mr. Dabney shouted as he spun himself on the ground with a foot out, tracing a circle in the dirt. Suddenly a blazing ring of green fire rose from the ground and created a protective barrier around Mr. Dabney.

Ariana watched as her chakrams spun around everywhere unable to penetrate the wall, unable to continue multiplying. Ariana watched the pattern and changed her stance. "Davita make sure I don't fall!" She shouted as she sprinted forward. Ariana jumped into the air and placed her foot onto the first chakram. She didn't slow down, she couldn't afford a mistake and kept leaping from chakram to chakram. Smiling, Davita had made her light and fast. As she reached the top she called back her weapons midair. She jumped into the center of the fire ring but Mr. Dabney was waiting for her and swung his leg forward. He made contact with Ariana's abdomen.

Ariana's eyes grew wide, saliva spilled out from her open mouth. A small laugh escaped Mr. Dabney's lips as he kicked Ariana towards the ground. She rolled helplessly as she gasped for air. Ariana placed her palms onto the ground as she struggled to lift herself up. She was only able to push herself halfway up as she turned her face towards Mr. Dabney giving him strained smile. "Got you." She laughed. "Duko!" She shouted as she slammed her left palm onto the ground. The ground underneath her hand cracked and spread quickly towards Mr. Dabney, splitting the earth as it traveled.

The ground underneath him erupted upwards, he momentarily lost his balance. While water flowed through the crevices of the earth. The water shot upwards and encircled around Mr. Dabney, trapping him within seconds. "Do you think this can hold me?" Mr. Dabney laughed darkly. Ariana spat on the ground as she slowly stood up. "No." She answered truthfully. "But it'll give me time." She said as she slammed her foot down onto the earth. Fissures broke apart the earth, rupturing the ring of fire. The students gasped as the wall came down and they saw Mr. Dabney entangled within Ariana's magic.

"There is never thinking time in a battle just action!" Mr. Dabney shouted as he scowled. "Ahi geislun!" He yelled as his body started to glow. "Rahul?" She called out as she took a couple of steps back. 'Absorb it!' Rahul said as he came forth. "How they hell am I gonna do that?" The water binds were starting to bubble while the earth beneath him started to slowly dissolve and scorch. 'I believe you will need to use one of those incantations.' He replied as the water binds steamed off and Mr. Dabney started to take a few steps forward. Each step made him sink into the ground slightly. "Ahi absortzio!" She yelled as she held her hands up but nothing happened. "Oh sh*t!" She said as she saw a slit like smile appear on Mr. Dabney's almost completely golden face.

"Oh sh*t! Oh sh*t! Oh sh*t!" She repeated as Mr. Dabney picked up his pace. A menacing laugh could be heard as he closed in on her. "Ahhh!" She screamed and something clicked. She could feel a lock with in her unlock and hit the floor. A surge of power was flowing through her body. 'Do you really think I would let you fall to someone like this!' She heard Rahul shout out with laughter. 'In your dreams!'

'Rahul what have you done?!' Aroha yelled but Rahul kept laughing. 'Picking a side!' Ariana could see it, the flow of magic before her eyes. It looked just like the cursed River in the Capital. Strings of light moving everywhere elegantly. She looked at Rahul and saw a small dot glowing brightly within his body. She reached out and grabbed it. Rahul's body slowly melted away into light. He whirled around Ariana's hand as memories started flooding into Ariana's mind.

A tall, bulky male was standing before a statute. He was completely clad in ancient warrior armour. He reached out and grabbed a scroll from the statutes hand. "I found it" He said in a deep, silky voice as he turned to face a young, beautiful woman wearing matching armour. She smiled sweetly as she brought her hand a gentle hand to his face. "Now it's mine!" She said as she brought up her sword and pierced it through his chest. "Katra?" He said as he watched the sword retracted, dripping with his blood. "I never loved you!" She said as watched him drop to his knees. "And with this I can have all I ever wanted!" She said as she unrolled the scroll.

"Ha, ha, hahahahaha! I never thought you would be the one to betray me Katra.... cough... but I can't let you walk away with that..." The man said as he coughed up more blood. Ariana focused her vision on the present, Mr. Dabney's fist has a few inches away from her abdomen. She quickly caught his fist and started to yell out in pain. When she heard a small cracking sound she released his arm. Mr. Dabney instinctively rolled towards his arm to protect himself while Ariana put her hands beside her head. "Ani prentar." She shouted as she flipped her legs upwards, arching her back elegantly. A burst of flames appeared on her feet as she brought them downwards. Using the momentum she landed her feet onto his body as she flipped herself off the ground. After she made contact she flipped herself backwards a few times, giving herself some distance between her and Mr. Dabney.

"Cute..." Mr. Dabney said as he started to lift himself from the ground. Ariana steadied herself and brought her hands back up. "Let's see how long you can last." She said as she rushed forward. She went for a firey hook punch but Mr. Dabney blocked it. A roundhouse kick to his head but Mr. Dabney caught her foot and twisted her foot. Ariana anticipated the defense and spun herself to match his movements, making sure no harm came to her. She was now facing the ground but Mr. Dabney didn't release her foot. She moved fast as she kicked Mr. Dabney's in the solar plexus with the heel of her foot.

He instantly let her foot go as he gasped for air. He spasmed causing saliva to sputter out of his mouth. The blow was too much and he dropped to his knees. Ariana's turned back to normal and her adrenaline was starting to run out. She got up slowly and stood over Mr. Dabney. She placed her hands on either side of of his head and smiled. "Good night." She said as she brought her knee up making sure it collided into his noise. Blood splattered everywhere and Mr. Dabney's eyes rolled to the back of his head. Ariana released his head and watched him fall towards the ground, completely unconscious. "Davita... please make sure he is breathing properly. Ariana said as she turned to the class. Davita quickly came forth and used her wings to fan Mr. Dabney.

She looked at everyone's shocked faces and gave them a worn out grin. "Any questions?" She asked but her class stayed silent.

Mrs. Dabney could not stop laughing as she sat in the mess hall late at night. "So what did the other students do?" She asked as she dabbed the corners of her eyes with a cloud pattern handkerchief. "Honestly I have never seen so many people ghost me so fast." Ariana said as she watched Shirley season the cauliflower and cheese soup. "Don't forget to add the chicken broth that we made." She said and Shirley quickly jumped to fetch the broth. "Flora did you finish mashing the apples?" She asked as Flora spooned a generous helping of applesauce into her mouth. Her big, round eyes sparkled with delight as she stuck her thumb up in the air.

"Fantastic! Let's make some pancakes." She said as she skipped over. "Wait Ms. Drake." Lee called out making Ariana slump downwards. "Please Lee! Just call me Ariana!" She whined but Lee shook her head. "Not yet Miss, we haven't been together long enough." She said as she pointed towards her pot. "Can you come try this first.... I don't think I have it right yet." Ariana patted Flora's back and gave her a pleading look. "Leave some for the pancakes please?" Flora's eyes started to water and she reluctantly nodded her head in compliance. "Thank you. Alright Lee what can I help you with?"

"Is this really necessary?" Mr. Dabney asked in a bored tone while Mrs. Dabney giggled. "Have you tried the mess hall food?! No offense ladies." Ariana said as she scooped up some cooked ground beef. "None taken." They answered back. "Of course! I've had it! Lee has been a mess hall lady since my school days." He said nonchalantly. "But you never went back after we started dating. You liked my simple meals." Mrs. Dabney said as she poked her husband's cheek. He instantly flushed and averted his gaze. "I'm saying it wasn't so bad." He replied with a pout.

"Wasn't so bad, is still bad but less meaningful. So Lee you're right it needs a little something... oh! Dried red pepper!" She shouted and Flora rushed over with the seasoning. "Thank you Flora." Ariana said as she graciously took the seasoning. She then dumped some into the pot and gave it a good stir. "So like I was saying my class completely cut off whatever relationship they had with me and avoided even looking at men. Thank the heavens that my roommates knew me better and still stuck with me. Well Talisha looked more excited then anything... I'm pretty sure she wanted to fight me next."

Mrs. Dabney started laughing again while her husband started drawing circles on the table. "Okay, try it now." Ariana said as she gave Lee a spoonful to taste. "Oh yes!" Lee exclaimed. "Right! So next let's do some tortillas as this simmers for a bit longer. Do you have the recipe?" Ariana asked as Lee nodded her head. "Okay now, Flora pancakes." Ariana said as she moved to Flora. "Shirley be generous with that cheese." She said as she sniffed the air. "Right." Shirley said as the Lumas happily eyed her.

"Okay so flour, baking soda, apple sauce, cinnamon, eggs and milk. The pan is hot, now we pour and wait. When you see little bubbles come up in the batter you flip." She said happily as Flora nodded her head enthusiastically. "You know what would go great with those pancakes? Maple syrup! I would kill for some maple syrup." Mrs. Dabney said as she started to drool. "I know right! I'm working on making it but it will take some time." She said as her smile froze in place. "Well I'm pretty sure everything is almost done.... I'm gonna go and check on the meatloaf and turkey." Ariana said as she moved to the oven.

"So Pascal said you want to have some extra lessons after class." Mrs. Dabney said as she watched the Lumas float around. "Yes." Ariana shouted from within the kitchen. Thank you for being our guinea pigs tonight." Ariana said with a beaming smile. Suddenly there was a knock on the steel doors. Ariana looked at the doors and still felt a horrible cold chill. "Sorry.... one second. We got a few more guests." Ariana said as she took a few hurried steps towards the door.

"Are we late?" Halina asked as Talisha, Edlyn, Xander and Cayden walked in. "No, right on time. We should have everything out in a few minutes." Ariana said as she ran back into the kitchen. Moments later Ariana and the mess hall ladies walked out with trays of food. "So what we will be trying today are my mom's cafe special pancakes. Topped with strawberry sauce and whipped cream. Crepes with chocolate and bananas. Loaded baked potatoes. Meatballs in barbeque sauce. Fried rice. Meatloaf. Turkey sandwiches. Tacos with freshly made sour scream and salsa. Cauliflower and cheese soup and finally strawberry lava cake." Ariana said as everyone eyed the food.

"You know we have maple trees. You could try and make some homemade maple syrup." Cayden said as he plated food for himself. "Mrs. Dabney was asking for maple syrup too." Ariana said as she plated some food for Edlyn. "What is maple syrup?" Halina asked as she grabbed some pancakes. "A sweet liquid that you put on waffles, pancakes, bread pudding and some times to flavour bacon." Ariana said as she watched Mrs. Dabney took a bite of pancakes.
