Then it started to loose its shape, it rippled and bubbled almost threatening everyone to try and back away before it burst. Everyone covered their eyes as the orb turned even brighter as it exploded into a sea of twinkling lights. The pudgy blonde uncovered his eyes and looked around. He then jerked his head to his feet. Everyone slowly uncovered their eyes and saw a giant, red tortoise on stage. He craned his neck upwards as he looked into his new master's eyes.

"Fatty got paired with his spirit animal not a familiar!" Some boy shouted causing others to start laughing. Ariana stood up from her seat and looked at the tortoise and male student. She turned her cold glare towards the direction of the boys laughing. "You are a moron who knows nothing!" She shouted. The group of boys stopped laughing and one of them stood up and glared at Ariana right back. "What would you know you only have a hand me down familiar." He said with a sneer. Ariana's face lit up as she smiled wickedly. She turned to the familiar and male student. "Show them how outstanding you are!" The red tortoise nodded his head slowly before turning into a whirl wind of red light. He equipped himself with his master and soon the male student was now in a heavily armoured suit.

The students gasped as the male student opened and closed his hand. A giant smile spread across his face, he leaped of the staged and landed with a loud thud in the isle. A small creator was created just under his feet and the male student couldn't help but jump again. Fire from the bottom of his feet propelled him upwards and he made it to the section meant for third and forth years. The room erupted into cheers and the Headmaster stepped forward. "Silence! Ariana felt so drained from watching so many students go up to the stage and perform the Summoning Ceremony. Rain and Breeze quickly started a headcount and each gave a sigh of relief. Rain moved to report to the Headmaster when suddenly someone screamed at the top of their lungs. A single hand pointed towards the sky and everyone looked up.

More panicked screams echoed into the air and there was nowhere to run. The storm was moving in too quickly. A downpour descended on them. "Headmaster the barrier is down!" Some teachers rushed out and started to collect the students and moved them into the forest near by but Edlyn was frozen in place. She stared up at the sky while Ariana stepped beside her. Another roar echoed through the air and the Headmaster watched the three as gust of wind surrounded them. A loud thud and heavy breathing could be heard. Standing before them was a massive snake like creature with dark green, aqua, silver and gold scales, scattered all over his body. It had a sea blue mane that started at the top of his head and ran down his back to his long tail. He had talon like claws, strong hind legs and two tier layers of gold and silver feathers which framed the left and right side of his face.

He milky white, glass like eyes with red slits for pupils which he focused to stare down at Edlyn. His snout extended outwards as was moving slowly towards Edlyn's nose. He retracted all four of his giant silver wings. "Edlyn... you need to name him." Ariana whispered into Edlyn's ear. Edlyn nodded her head as she raised her hand slowly. The rain continued to pour relentlessly. Edlyn placed her hand on his dog like snout and shuddered. They both felt a connection, he closed his eyes and the rain started to slow down to a drizzle. "Thor." She said with a shaky breath. "I name you Thor!" She shouted more fiercely.

The Thunderbird shot open his eyes, his red pupils dilated. His body started to glow a bright yellow before it turned into a stream. It swirled around as the clouds started to disperse, the rain stopped completely and a beautiful double rainbow appeared across the sky. A new barrier started to rebuild upwards and met in the middle. The stream moved into Edlyn's arms and turned into an orb. The light started to glow brighter and brighter before it turned into an array of lights.

A tiny Thunderbird yawned as it snuggled in Edlyn's arms. "Thor?" Edlyn called out and the Thunderbird turned its cute little head to meet her eyes. His eyes were big and innocent looking while his feathers were just a fraction of its original size. 'Mama?' He said as his tail wagged. Ariana started to giggle when she saw Edlyn's dumbstruck face. Thor started to tremble as he tried to retreat further into Edlyn's embrace. 'Mama!' He cried. Edlyn tightened her embrace and bowed to the Headmaster. Edlyn sighed, her knees started to buckle and she was going down. Xander moved to catch Edlyn and Thor took the opportunity to meet his daddy. Vera and Isabelle ran up to them while the other third years were busying themselves with helping out their own first years. "Ariana... were you talking to Edlyn's familiar?!" Vera whispered as loudly as she could. Ariana automatically started to shake her head no. Vera eyed her and Isabelle tried to remove the baby Thunderbird from Xander's shoulders. 'Daddy! Daddy! I'm scared!' He cried as his claws dug into Xanders shoulders. "Thor let him go!" Edlyn cried as she saw how terrified he was.

'Mama, there are so many scary people! I just want to be with you and daddy why can't the scary people leave me alone.' He cried as he let out a tiny, pitiful squeak of a roar. "Vera... Ariana shouted as she hugged Edlyn and stroked the side of her head. Thor stopped crying and looked at the girls. 'Mom-mom-mommy?' He said as he sniffed back his tears.

"Look your mommy is so sad, she needs some baby love." Ariana said with a pitiful voice then placed a kiss on Edlyn's cheek. Thor instantly released Xander's shoulders and flew towards the girls. Thor's face lit up as his eyes sparkled with excitement. 'Mommy! Mommy needs kisses!' He shouted in between licks. Ariana could feel her heart melt when she saw the two of them bonding. Thor asked and Edlyn looked at Ariana. Her face quickly turned red when she mouthed the words. "Do not dare!" Ariana flashed her a wicked smile and opened her mouth. Edlyn quickly turned and ran off with Thor in her arms.

"Xander you should get your shoulders looked at." Isabelle said as she tried to take Xander's coat off. He yanked it from Isabelle's hands and gave her a cold glare. "I will." He said courtly them started to walk away. "Xander, I think Edlyn needs to see the nurse too. Honestly I think we will all need to see the nurse if we don't heat up our bodies soon. We might catch a cold and mess up the Summoning Ceremony." Some first years quickly collected their familiars and ran towards the bathhouse. Xander paused before he turned completely around and chased after Edlyn.

Ariana watched happily as Xander chased after Edlyn. With a happy sigh she turned around and caught sight of Callista slapping Isabelle across the face. "Remember your place when touching my husband." She hissed as she looked at Isabelle's tearful face. "He was injured and needed medical attention." Isabelle said defensively but Callista just turned away. "I never knew Xander was married... funny he never mentioned a wife before." Ariana said coolly as she walked up to Callista. "How dare you question the truth! Everyone knows this and stays away from my husband! Everyone except that slutty b*tch!" Callista yelled. Ariana let out a small laugh. "He did mention a fiancee that his parents arranged... though... he said he never formally accepted the engagement. Something about a pending decision."

Ariana said as she walked back to Vera. "Now let's get going to the bathhouse so we can get cleaned up." She said as she hooked Vera's arm. 'Oh don't forget to get looked at by the nurse..... Isabelle." Ariana shouted back cheerfully. Callista started to grind her teeth as she watched Ariana walk away.

After visiting the bathhouse, the girls sat down to lunch. "What a morning!" Halina exclaimed as her swam looked at her unladylike behavior. 'Master please sit up straight.' While Talisha was happily feeding strawberries to her little boar who she named Bacon. Everything was going well until Flint started calling everyones attention. "There is a change in plans." He began to say and the room turned eerily silent. "First years with familiars you are to stay with you mentors and learn to control and bond with your partners. Classes will be cancelled this afternoon." He said as he flashed a prince like smile. The girls except Ariana and Edlyn started to go wild. Flint brought up his hand and ran it through his slick comb over, tousled hair. His medium fringe stayed in place as his platinum hair moved between his fingers with an air of sexiness.

Ariana felt physically sick and Edlyn was not going to let her move around by herself. "Thank you for your understanding. First years please be at the auditorium in 15 minutes." Flint said as he locked his sights on Ariana. She felt a disgusted shiver run down her body and she pushed away her tray. "Not hungry anymore." She complained and started to get up. Edlyn quickly got up too. "Eldyn where are you going?" Halina asked as Talisha stopped feeding Bacon. "I want to watch." She said brightly. "I do not think the Student Council will let you in, since you have a familiar."

Edlyn looked at Talisha and gave her a small chuckle. "They did not say I could not go. Just a rec-ommen-dtion." She replied. Talisha started to smile as she collected Bacon. "Right on ya! I mean... cough... yes as roommates we should get along properly." She said then got up, Halina got the hint and quickly moved. "Right so let's give our support!" She shouted and Ophelia quickly nipped her soft spots. "Ow okay! Fine already! Let us give our full support." Halina said bluntly and it seemed to satisfy Ophelia.

They walked out of the mess hall and headed for the auditorium. "Excuse me but where do you think you're going?"
