Cayden gently removed Ariana's hands and straightened out his clothes with a swift motion of her hands. "I told you last night I was disinfecting you." He replied coolly. Ariana's face paled as her heart shattered into a million pieces. "S-s-s-so you're saying you could do that too anyone in the name of disinfection?" She stuttered as her legs started to feel weak. Cayden swallowed back saliva but his mouth and throat were horribly dry. He balled his hand and started digging his nails into his hands. "Yes." He said bluntly.

"Oh..." Ariana said as her voice trailed off. Ariana wrapped her arms around her waist and hugged herself tightly. "So it didn't mean anything more to you?" She asked as her voice started to crack. "Already forgot what happened." He said nonchalantly. "Right... so is that why you didn't ask who tried to **** me?" Cayden's eyes widened with fear, his face paled and his heartbeat skyrocketed but Ariana kept her gaze averted. She couldn't look at him, he had already rejected her but she needed to know the truth.

"I guess it didn't matter right? You can be any person's knight in shining armour, swoop in and rescue the damsel... right?! No wonder you have so many admirers! Does that mean you have many lovers too?" She asked as her face started to darken. "Do they all bend over backwards in order to repay you for your kind-?!"

She was instantly interrupted. Cayden grabbed her waisted and pulled her against his body. He then grabbed her chin and forced her to look at his face. Ariana's eyes started to water, her heart broke to see him so desperate and sad. "I can't be with you!" He shouted breathlessly as he looked at her face. "I need to find you a husband so you can be happy!" Ariana tried to break free but he held her firmly in place. "Let go!" She started to yell in fit of rage. "No you don't understand!" He shouted desperately. "I don't understand?! Of course I don't understand! I don't need you to find me a husband! I don't need you to predetermine my happiness! I can be perfectly happy with you! Why can't we try? Why can't you let me do what I want?! Cayden I lo-?!"

Cayden swooped down and sealed her lips with his own. Tears started to spill over her cheeks, she closed her eyes and kissed Cayden back. She brought her arms around his neck and slipped her hands to the back of his head. He continued to kiss her more passionately as the seconds ticked by. He pushed his tongue through her lips and tasted ever inch of it As if it was the most delicious thing he ever had. A small moan escaped Cayden's lips as they continued to kiss.

He opened his eyes and pushed Ariana away. He covered his mouth with his hand and looked at her with shock. "Why? Why did you kiss me again? Why are you playing with my heart?! Cayden brought his hand back down and tried to put a col, indifferent look on his face but failed. He was completely exposed, he dropped his gaze as his face darkened. "Ariana, I have a finacee... this is not right... what we are doing is not right to her or to you. I'm sorry." Ariana started to laugh darkly. "So that's why I can't find happiness with you? I can never be your wife, that spot is and only will be for Vanessa right?! While I can be just some mistress... fine! Find me a husband then but he has to have status, power and wealth! "You know... You know I heard that the Student Council President is an able person. He is someone with so many achieved at such a young age will make a 'wonderful' husband... who knows maybe he could bring me happiness.... right because it's all about what is on the outside right? If I look happy then I must be happy right?!" She said as she laughed hysterically. "Ariana?" She heard someone call out, she spun around and paled. "Oh Gregory! Good morning... were you by chance looking for me?" She asked with a forced smile.

Gregory shifted his gaze towards Cayden and then Ariana. He then nodded his head. "The Headmaster has requested an audience with us this morning." He said indifferently. "Fantastic! I need to speak with him too. Cayden you're coming along." Ariana ordered as she walked up to Gregory without looking back. "I was not summoned." He said as he started to compose himself. Ariana turned around and gave him an icy glare. "I want to make a report about what happened last night. You will give your testimony and be my witness." Cayden pursed his lips and turned to Gregory.

"I don't care, I just want to get this over with." Gregory said as he started to lead the way. Ariana quickly turned and followed Gregory while Cayden reluctantly followed half a step behind her. Gregory lead them back to the school, they walked through the main entrance, down a corridor, up a few flights of stairs and finally made it to a very modest looking door. Nothing was else was close by, just an empty hall way with a single door in the middle while the other side had rows of windows looking over a scenic looking quad.

Gregory opened the door and then walked into a waiting room. The walls had burgundy, plush, diamond tufts with gold buttons going down half the wall while the bottom half had golden oak, shiplap wainscoting. There were plush, black chairs with golden rope trim lined up against the walls. An extravagant looking L-Shape reception desk was stationed by what Ariana assumed was the Headmaster's office. The desk had a dark walnut stain while the outer surfaces facing the visitors were done with a beautiful stone finish. It had streaks of white, baby blue, teal, navy blue and purple.

A very stern looking lady sat at the desk, she was reviewing documents when the three walked in. She looked up from her desk, her cold black ink eyes stared them down. She had mauve coloured hair, tied up into triangles making it look like cat ears. She had brilliant blue frame glasses, a long nose and small thin lips. She raised a eyebrow as she looked at Gregory. "We were summoned by the Headmaster." He said as he made himself comfortable in a chair. She raised a fair finger and pointed her talon like nail at Cayden. "The Headmaster did not summon him." She said in an authoritative tone. "He is with her, something about making a formal report." Gregory replied as he waved his hand in the air. "Fine!" She snapped as she got up and moved around her desk.

She walked up to a golden oak door. It had a beautiful stain glass image in the top center, depicting the Queen of Creation overlooking the world. It had two wood framed, stain glass panels on either side of the door. Each one had a picture of the elemental colours swirling in them. The stern lady knocked on the door and they all heard a booming voice say "Come in." The stern lady walked in and closed the door behind her.

They waited silently for the lady to come back out. Ariana wanted to come down her nerves, her hands were shaking as she sat in the middle of Gregory and Cayden. She wanted to distract herself from her thoughts and Cayden's presence so she started scanning the room. She noted an open door that had a large table with chairs surrounding it just to the right of the receptionist desk. Another door was a little ways from Gregory but that was it, nothing else. She sighed then decided to start counting the number of each coloured stripe on the desk. 15 minutes later the stern lady walked out completed flushed. There was a fresh layer of sweat on her skin and her tight, button up blouse was barely done up. "He will see you now." She said with a husky voice.

Ariana stomach turned as they passed by the lady. While she avoided looking at Ariana. "Welcome! Thank you for coming on such short notice." The Headmaster said as he watched the stern lady close the door. "Gwendolyn says that you have a report to give me?" He said as he raised an eyebrow at her. "Yes." She answered promptly. "Alright, I will be more than happy to listen to your report... it looks like Cayden has been progressing wonderfully with his fiancee." The Headmaster said as he pointed to a spot on his own neck. Cayden instantly blushed and covered the same spot on his own neck. "Did you catch the young man getting intertwined with his finacee perhaps?" He said in a happy tone.

Ariana became speechless at the thought and could only look at the floor. The Headmaster started to chuckle as he created a temple with the tips of his fingers. "My dear Ariana, relations of that sort happen all the time, he has a fiancee and needs to strengthen that bond. If she bares a child early that everyone can rejoice. I just ask that he doesn't do it out in the open where someone can walk in on them." He said as he watched Ariana pale.

"Good! Now that I figured out your report to me and it's now out of the way. I will allow Cayden to stay and hear about the great idea I had." He said as he slowly rose from his chair. "Is this why you summoned us." Gregory said courtly and the Headmaster smiled. "Why yes! Ariana, sweety do you remember promising to meet my grandson?" He asked as he walked around his desk and raised his hand. "Grandson?" Ariana said in a daze. "Yes my grandson! Flint come here please." He said as he motioned his fingers to signal a person over. "Really grandfather, you always exaggerate things to make your stories more interesting but I have to say you really under sold Miss Drake's beauty."

Ariana's eyes widened as she she broke out into a cold sweat. She turned her head slowly towards the direction of the speaker. "G-g-g-grandson?" She said again as she watched Flint peel himself from the wall behind them and walk towards his grandfather. His eyes flashed with dominance and mocking laughter as he looked at Ariana, daring her to reveal the truth. "Yes, my oldest grandson. Flint here is the pride and joy of the family." He said as he beamed with pride.

"Thank you grandfather. It's really nice to meet you, my name is Flint Remo." He said as he reached for Ariana's hand. Her whole body trembled violently as she watched him reach out for her. Suddenly a flash of pink light appeared in the room. "Oh this must be your familiar." He said as his hand froze in place.

Vasu appeared in between the two of them, blocking Flint from Ariana. 'Master... you're shaking. Did he hurt you?' Vasu asked. Ariana started to take shallow breaths, her heart was beating painfully loud as her eyes darted to the people in the room. No one moved or hinted they heard anything except for Cayden who's eyes started to shake. "Yes." She shouted as she encircled her arms around Vasu and clutched him against her chest. "Yes..." She whispered to Vasu and he started to glow a soft pink. "He is quite remarkable." Flint said as he looked at Ariana with clear desire in his eyes. "Grandfather... I agree with your earlier proposal." He said as he smiled.

"Fantastic!" The Headmaster cheered as he went back to his desk and pulled out a document. "Now all I need is your signature Gregory." He said as he finished signing the paper then passed the document and pen over. Gregory picked up the document and carefully read it over. "I don't think this child is worthy enough." He said as he flicked the document back on to the desk. Vasu stopped glowing and instantly became furious. He changed into a full stag and caught Flint within his antlers. He charged across the room and pinned him against the wall behind the Headmaster. Books from the shelves tumbled downwards as the bookshelf itself trembled from the impact. 'Scumbag!' Vasu roared as he bared his teeth.

"What the hell is going on?!" The Headmaster yelled as he got up from the chair and looked at Flint. "See, this child can't even control her own familiar. Having her as addition to your family would be a disgrace." Gregory sighed as he picked up the document and shredded it in front of the Headmaster. "Gregory what have you done?!" He shouted as he scooped up the torn pieces. "Grandfather help..." Flint whimpered as Vasu started applying more pressure, breaking the wooden shelves. Suddenly the pieces of paper in the Headmaster's hand spontaneously burst into a blue flame. "I could only get my hands on one completed registration form! You imbecile, you moron! You're fired!" The Headmaster yelled but Gregory didn't flinch.

"I don't think you could fire me if you wanted too. What would I have to tell my aunt? I was fired because the Headmaster believed a child of low calliper was suitable to be a bride of the Remo's.... I dare say even the king would find that... pathetically humourous." He said as a cold smile stretched across his face. The Headmaster ground his teeth and shifted his anger instead. "Ariana control your familiar!" He yelled as he pounded his desk but Ariana didn't respond.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Honestly this street rat has no idea how to take simple orders. Look at her, she's at her wits end. You will thank me one day for saving your family from tying her to your grandson." He said coolly then turned to grab Ariana's arm. "Control your familiar you piece of sh*t!" He barked as he slapped her across the face causing her to collapse to the ground. 'Master!' Vasu yelled as he changed back into his chibi form and snuggled against her neck. "No." She said under her breath, stopping Vasu from using any more magic. 'But Master...' He said pitifully and he pulled back.

"See this piece of trash only knows how to disrespect. As her legal guardian I will formally decline the marriage prospect. Ariana was adopted into our family, we do not know her origins and this could ruin young master's, no doubt glorious future. So good day Headmaster, I will drag this child out and properly teach her. Maybe in a few years we can come back to the discussion of marrying these two." He said as he half dragged Ariana out of the room. Vasu lingered behind for a moment, he turned to Flint and bared his teeth again. 'Rapist.' He spat then left.

"Go get yourself cleaned up!" Gregory shouted as he tossed Ariana into the hallway. "Honestly what was the Headmaster thinking?! Wanting to join you and Flint in matrimony! Ha! The man is delusional!" He said in a deadly tone that it sent shivers down Ariana's spine. Vasu floated out and looked at Gregory. He stared him down then turned into light and resumed his position on Ariana's ear. "Get out of my sight!" He hissed. Ariana scrambled of the ground and ran as fast as she could.

She didn't stop running, she stumbled down a flight of stairs and cried in pain but she got back up. She started running again, she refused to look back. When she saw the female dorm building she picked up her pace, she ran through the main door and past the students already up. She ran past Ms. Hadley who was chatting away with Vera. "Ariana?" She called out as she turned from Vera. "Ariana?" She called again but Ariana clenched her jaw and ran. She found her room and place her right hand on the door knob and winced. She looked down and saw her wrist turning purple.

She brought up her left hand, turned the knob and burst through the door. "Ariana?" Edlyn said as she turned to see who came in. Ariana threw herself into Edlyn arms and started to cry. "What happened?!" Edlyn shouted as she looked at Ariana's wrist. "That looks bad we should get the nurse to look at that." Halina said as she walked over. "Ariana, take some deep breaths... what happened to you." Talisha said as she walked over and started rubbing Ariana's back. Ariana cried harder. "I don't think we will get an answer anytime soon." Halina said as she patted Ariana's head. "There, there, the nurse will fix you right up." Halina cooed.

"I don't think it is that." Edlyn said as she tried to pry Ariana off but Ariana held on for her dear life. In the middle of the struggle Edlyn caught sight of a red blotch. "Ariana what happened to your body?" She shrieked as she pulled down the front portion of Ariana's dress. Red marks were everywhere. Ariana froze and pushed herself away. "No! Don't look!" She cried as she tried to clutch the front of her dress. She winced as she closed her right hand. "Lumas!" Edlyn shouted and a rainbow of light appeared. Halina and Talisha fell backwards as they came face to face with the chibis. "What happened!" She commanded but no on dared to say a word.

"Don't tell, don't tell, don't tell, don't tell." Ariana chanted as she rocked herself. Vasu looked at Ariana and sympathized with her. 'Go to the infirmary.' He said firmly. Ariana shook her head no as she scooted towards the wall. 'Go or I will carry you myself!' He roared making Ariana flinch. "I'll go. Just please don't say anything." She said weakly. Aroha looked at Ariana then to Edlyn. 'Protect our Master.' She said before they turned back into earrings. Edlyn looked at Ariana and walked over. "Let's get you changed." Eldyn said as she stretched out her hand. Ariana looked at the hand then grabbed it with her left. "Then I'll take you to the infirmary." Ariana nodded hoping to never speak of last night's events again.
