My Way To You 375 Laying Low

"So that's what happened." Edlyn whipered. "That's awful." Halina said in a pitiful voice. "Do you think that's why Professor Rain hasn't show up?" Talisha asked. Ariana nodded her head. She said she wasn't going to tell them what happened but she did anyways. She kept a lot of the juicy bits of information to herself but she thought it was best for them to know what happened in the City.

"So what now?" Halina asked as she looked at Ariana. "I don't know but I think we should just treat homeroom as a self study period..." Ariana said then immediately closed her mouth. "This is ridiculous! We are being imprisoned inside the school and now they're refusing to teach us! Where is the professor? It's been 40 minutes!" Someone yelled up in front. Other students chimed in with out hesitation.

"Shut it Karen! I'm in no mood to learn right now! I want to know what is going on outside!" Talisha yelled as she glared at Karen. "How dare you!" Karen hissed as she looked at Talisha. Her dark grey eyes blazed with disdain. "Ya, ya how dare I. You're such a moron, no wonder your in the common group. You can't even see the big picture. Good luck with trying to get into the 10%." Talisha said in an arrogant tone.

"You're not any better then me!" Karen growled through cleched teeth. "I know but at least I know when to ask questions." Talisa said with a light laugh. "What do you mean?" A petite girl asked two rows in front of them. "Why would my family want me to stay here? What is really going on outside? The mgyical defenses surrounding the school grounds is only second to the royal palace. So if my aunty wants me to stay here then WHAT THE F**K IS GOING ON OUT THERE!" Talisha yelled as she pointed out the window.

Karen bit down on her lower lip then slowly sat down. The petite girl started to cry then everyone started to panic. "Talisha what have you done?" Ariana whispered. "A huge favour." Talisha said as she scanned the room. "They should have been distracted with school work instead." Edlyn muttered.

"No... I think I get it. Look, they're all thinking now." Ariana said as she scanned the room too. "Are you sure they look pretty panicked to me." Halina said as she looked around. "Exactly." Ariana said as she turned to Talisha "You want everyone to stay safe." Ariana said as she stared at Talisha while Talisha just shrugged. "Probabaly. Or I'm preventing a certain someone from doing something stupid." Talisha said as she smirked at Ariana.

"No." Ariana said as she shook her head. "Not this time I have to lay low." Ariana muttered then she started to pack up her things. "Where are you going?" Edlyn asked as she quickly packed her own things. "Library. I can't think in here." Ariana said flatly. She then got up and walked down the steps. "I'm coming too!" Edlyn shouted as she ran after Ariana. "Same!" Halina chimed in. "I ain't staying here." Talisha said as both girls packed their things.

The class went silent as the group of girls walked out of the room. "Why the library?" Halina asked as she caught up to Ariana. "Gregory is there but it also gives everyone a chance to get out of class and spread word about their fears." Ariana explained. "Look at you makng others do the work." Talisha said with a grin. Ariana said nothing and just continued to walk.

The moment the girls walked into the library they looked around the room. It was empty, Ariana looked at the desk and saw that it was a different part timer working. "Excuse me, have you seen my dad?" Ariana asked sweetly. The lady looked at Ariana and realised who she was talking too. "Sorry hun. Your dad was called back by the Countess." The lady said apolgetically.

"Thank you." Ariana said with a bow then left. "What now?" Edlyn asked after they were outside. "I don't know." Ariana said as she looked at her friends. "Wait... I do know what I have to do but," Ariana said as she turned to Edlyn. "I need to do it alone." She continued in a small voice. "No!" Edlyn shouted bitterly. "You can't keep doing things alone all the time." She continued to shout.

"Edlyn I can't get your help with this. I need to do this on my own." Ariana explained apologetically. "Why?" Halina asked and she grabbed Ariana's hand. "You helped my family in their time of need why can't I, we be there for you too?" She asked as her eyes started to turn red. Ariana shook her head no and pursed her lips. "You guys don't listen do you?" Talisha said as she scratched the back of head.

The girls turned to Talisha and just stared. "Seriously?! We have a job to do inside the school. We need to bring awareness to everyone about what's important, besides if Ariana really needed our help she would ask, right?" Talisha asked with a broad grin. Ariana nodded her head. "I swear this is something only I can do. After I'm done I'll come find you." Ariana said. "You promise?" Edlyn asked.

"Mmmh." Ariana replied with a nod of her head. "I need to focus on laying low, just until those church members are done with inspecting the Academy." Ariana said then she took a step back. "It shouldn't take more then a day. If I don't come back by midnight come look for me." Ariana said before she turned and ran off.

'Ariana where are you going?' Davita asked as her stone form glowed softly. "I'm going to face my destiny head on. No more running away." Ariana said as she ran towards the Dabney's house. 'Is that what you really want?' Aroha asked. "No but it's not about what I want. It's about how to save everyone in this world. So Loralei and Rahul prepare yourselves. I will not take no as an answer."
