My Way To You 329 Don't Care Anymore

Cayden said nothing. He pursed his lips as he swallowed back saliva. Ariana's aquamarine eyes stared right into his grey eyes. Again Ariana saw the hints of blue undertone that made his grey eyes look more silver. "You've been hiding things from me. You've been playing with my emotions and all I have ever done is love you... I love you with all me heart." Ariana said with a seductive smile.

"You have Owen in your heart." Cayden hissed. "You're right, I do but Own died. He was reincarnated in this world yet I haven't found him but I'm not really looking either." Ariana said as she slowly let Cayden's tie slack. He moved a few inches back but Ariana wouldn't let him go completely. "Why?" Cayden asked as his eyes turned murderous. "Why what?" Ariana asked as she smiled sweetly.

"Why not look for him?" Cayden asked as he narrowed his gaze. "I can't." Ariana answered courtly. Cayden's eyes widened at her response causing Ariana to laugh lightly. "Are you a moron?" Ariana asked as she let Cayden's tie go. "I just confessed my love to you and you want to know why I won't run off to go see my first love?" Ariana asked as a sweet smile turned dark and wicked.

Cayden fixed his tie as he glared at Ariana. "Fine. I will go look for him then. Maybe he will help me out instead but Cayden what if he was reborn as a woman?" Ariana asked in a mocking tone. "What are you asking?" Cayden asked in return,

"The Goddess has helped bring me here to put me in this stupid situation but what about Owen? He was brought here by mistake and as a way to compensate him he was allowed to be reborn here but was he reborn with his memories? Was he reborn as a male or female? The only clue I have is he was reborn before me but how far before me? Does he have a family now? Is he a grandfather now? A grandmother? What if he was reborn with his memory? Did he stay faithful to me? Does he know I'm here too? If so why hasn't he come looking for me? Does he not care about me anymore? I can't face him and have my heart broken..." Ariana said as her smile turned bittersweet.

"I rather keep his beautiful memory in my heart and move on." Ariana said gently as her gaze softened. "What if he hasn't? What if he comes looking for you? What will happen then?" Cayden asked more coldly then he intended too. Ariana snorted. "Does it really matter? I'm Ariana now and my heart now belongs to someone else... and apparently he doesn't care." Ariana said as her body started to tremble.

"Ariana..." Cayden called out. Ariana's heart shattered, she knew the tone he was using. It was the same tone he used whenever they went to far with each other. It was rejection. "No, don't." Ariana said with a trembling voice. "Ariana please listen." Cayden pleaded. "No." Ariana said as she shook her head and brought her hands upwards. She hugged herself tightly as tears started to form in her eyes.

"This is for the best. I get it, I know who and what I am, so I need to stay pure so I can help humanity right? But you always knew that right? You just kept me happy until I figured it out on my own. So you wouldn't have to break my heart right?." Ariana asked with a slightly high pitched voice. She was starting to lose her control on her own emotions and wanted to run away but she couldn't. Instead she took a few steps back.

"No, you're wrong." Cayden said with a shaky voice but Ariana could hear how he was forcing himself to say those words, there was no confidence. Who was he trying to fool? "Stop. I have accepted my fate. I swear I will stay pure. I will come up with another plan for myself. I was doing that anyways... So Cayden." Ariana said as she choked on her own words. She was ready to be sick.

She blinked away her tears and stood tall. She dropped her hands and looked at Cayden. "Leave." She said firmly. Cayden dropped his gaze and stood silently. "No." He said quietly. "Cayden you need to leave." Ariana said more firmly. Her tears started to form again and she couldn't hold on to her strength for much longer.

"I can't." Cayden said as he brought up his gaze and glared at Ariana. "Why?" Ariana asked with a small voice. Her defenses were breaking down. "I care about you." Cayden said courtly. "DON'T CARE ABOUT ME ANYMORE! I DON'T NEED IT!" Ariana shouted as tears poured out. This was not what she wanted, she wanted to end things peacefully. She knew he would leave her the moment he knew what she was. Cayden stormed up to Ariana and grabbed her shoulders. He pulled her close and sealed her lips.

"No." She said as she pulled herself free. Cayden sealed her lips again with his own. "MMH!" Ariana said as she protested. Cayden brought up his hand and placed his index finger and thumb on her cheeks. He applied pressure and forced her to open her mouth. The moment her mouth opened he shoved his tongue inside and started to taste her.

Ariana's eyes shot wide open. Fear struck her as Cadyen forced himself inside her. Cayden pulled Ariana away the moment he felt her tears running down her face. He looked at her breathlessly and gave her a sorrowful look. "I stayed away because I was ordered too, then you had to be so G*d damn lovable. It was hard not touch you." Cayden said as he brushed away her tears with his thumb. Ariana froze as he did.

"I wish I could stop caring then it wouldn't hurt so much." Cayden whispered.
