My Way To You 247 Searching

It was already night time when Lobo and Ariana started their search for the mysterious monster. "You think they would have given you some sort of hint about this monster." Lobo said monotonously. Ariana called out her Lumas and had them split up so they could widen their search before she looked back at Lobo. "I don't think they more then I do." Ariana replied.

"So not much." Lobo replied with a small head shake. "Unfortunately." Ariana sighed as they kept walking. "Why don't we use Edlyn as bait?" Lobo asked after some time. Ariana quickly looked at Lobo and gave him the coldest glare she could produce. "Right... Nevermind." Lobo said as he quickly averted his gaze. "If it's bait then it should be me. That thing hates me with a passion.... Lobo get lost." Ariana said as she stopped walking. "Excuse me?" Lobo asked with complete shock. "Don't play dumb. Leave me alone. I'll lure that thing out and try to interrogate it." Ariana said nonchalantly.

"Uhhh no. You're insane if you think I'm going to leave you alone out here in the dark. Especially with someone stalking you." Lobo said courtly before grabbing Ariana's hand. "I'm not leaving your side." Ariana looked at her held hand then to Lobo. "You said someone... Who is stalking me Lobo?" Ariana asked cautiously. Lobo broke out into a cold sweat. "That monster is! Who else would I be talking about?" Lobo replied in a shaky voice as more sweat ran down his face. "Monster and someone are very different things. Lobo who is stalking me?" Ariana asked coolly as she grabbed Lobo's uniform collar and pulled him close.

"Stop acting paranoid already! Someone, monster, bastard, assassins, magical creatures that hate you for living, it's all the same thing! So I'm not leaving you!" Lobo said fiercely as he ripped Ariana's hand from his collar. "Besides I don't want him killing me anytime soon." Lobo mumbled under his breath as he started to walk forward, pulling Ariana along. "Who's going to kill you?!" Ariana asked with a high pitched, concerned voice. "G*d! Your ears work too good! Shut up and let me protect you?!" Lobo shouted in a frustrated tone. "Lobo what the f*ck is wrong with you?!" Ariana yelled as she yanked her hand free.

"No what's wrong with you?! Can't you be a good girl and just be quiet and listen to what I say?! You know shut up and obey? Is it so hard to understand that I have -?!" Lobo ranted as his temper flared but he couldn't finish his sentence. Ariana's hand sliced through the air and in one deafening sound, she slapped Lobo across the face. Tears were already pooling in her eyes but the look she gave him was one of pure hatred. "Stay away from me." She hissed before lifted her leg. "Never talk to me again!" She yelled as she brought her leg forward and roundhoused him.

Lobo flew sideways and landed on the ground with a loud thud. Ariana watched his limp body for a second then turned. "Bastard." She scowled then ran off. Ariana ran with all her might, changing directions sporadically hoping to throw off Lobo if he changed into his wolf form. "Bastard, bastard, bastard." She chanted as she ran. She couldn't believe that Lobo had ordered her around, he was her guard, her knight, her friend! She had opened up her heart to him and he had turned around and allowed his male genes take over his mouth.

Ariana stopped running and doubled over. Panting hard as sweat rolled off her face and hit the ground. Even though she knew Lobo talked out of frustration and was definitely hiding something, the way he talked was too familiar to the real bastard that walked into her life. "SH*T!" Ariana screamed at the top of her lungs. "SH*T! SH*T! SH*T!" She continued to scream.

"That's very unladylike of you to say." A dark laugh echoed around her. "You finally show yourself! Have you been stalking me?!" Ariana shouted.

"Why would I need to stalk you?! This is all just a very weird coincidence... Very weird coincidence." The voice sang in a mocking tone. "How was it a coincidence? What have you been doing to the creatures in this area? Why do you need magical energy?" Ariana asked with a powerful voice. "I answered one question... You only get one, now it's mine turn." The voice said as indigo most started to flow towards Ariana's feet. "You didn't answer anything you just stated what you did!" Ariana shouted.

"You only get one... It's only ever one and nothing more... I answer how I want but little wench, you hurt me last time.... I felt so much pain and you drained me.... I needed to hunt again but he took me away. Why take me away? I need to feed... I was so hungry, so very hungry...." The voice called out pitifully as the indigo most started to creep up Ariana's body. Claw like hands started to form and gently teased the base of Ariana's neck. "Who won't l-let you feed?" Ariana asked as calmly as she could but her voice cracked mid sentence giving away the feat she felt. She was virtually alone. The Lumas were gone and Lobo was knocked out somewhere.

"He wouldn't let me eat... so hungry... so very hungry... I almost died but he can't let me die. If I die, he dies.... that is how we were made. So he let me eat but it was so small, it couldn't satisfy my hunger but I had no choice... Can't die not when we finally met our angel... Our angel gives us light, our angel brings us hope, we can't leave our angel alone to the wolves here. So we got stronger... so much stronger so we could come back but my hunger won't go away... I'm still so hungry. I went out to hunt but then I smelt something so good.... So I searched." The voice said as an indigo coloured face formed. His eyes glowed red as he slowly opened his slit mouth. A smile spread across his face causing Ariana to freeze in sheer terror.
