Before Ariana could say anything Payton pulled her closer and then pointed to the bulletin. "Do you know what you need to do?" He asked firmly, confusing Ariana. She looked at Payton's furious face then turned her gaze to where he was pointing. A fun, colourful advertisement was pinned against the board. "I should probably read that first... you know so I can understand what your so mad about." Ariana said awkwardly as she turned back to Payton. "So?" He said bitterly, making Ariana feel more uncomfortable. "So can you please let me go?" She said as she pointed to her arm.

Payton automatically let go of her arm and watched her. Ariana could feel her situation get more awkward by the second and she then turned to the advertisement again. "The Student Council is looking for a new secretary-treasurer but candidates can only be nominated then elected.... so what do you want me to do?" Ariana asked as she turned back to Payton. "The next meeting for the representatives and the Student Council will be later this evening. We will be briefed about Callista Bravo. We don't want to tarnish the school's reputation, so she needs to be replaced. The Student Council will ask who are nominations are. At that time you will nominate Vera." Payton said coolly.

'I knew it! You would never hurt people intentionally!' Davita cheered as she flipped in the air. 'But your love of match making will be your downfall.' Duko said as his ears flopped downwards. "Payton is a good guy and Vera... is a little heartbroken at the moment. What better way to bounce back then to be confessed to so you can forget about past feelings?" She said brightly.

'Personal gain.' Vasu said as he looked up at Ariana. "So what if I gain from it too? I'm also human I can get jealous too." Ariana responded with a pout. "Well I should go find Vera and talk to her about being nominated... after school! Let's give Payton time to sweat and actual grow a pair." Ariana laughed as she planned on what to do.

The remainder of the day Ariana would go to the third year classes to flaunt her devilish glares at Payton as she tried to get close to Vera. Every time he saw her and her sinister smile he would run and pull Vera away with whatever excuse he could think of. Ariana couldn't help but laugh when she would walk back to her class.

The afternoon flew by and it was finally after school. Ariana ran up to Vera and waved happily as she approached her. Payton immediately ran to her side and said something. Ariana slowed down her pace and watched as Vera got into a heated argument with Payton. "Look Payton, I have no idea what has been going on with you lately but you're starting to get on my nerves." "I thought it would take forever for you to confess!" She said as she continued to approach the two. Vera pulled out of Payton's embrace and turned to Ariana. "Can you please tell me what's going on?" Vera said as her face blazed apple red. "Only if you answer his confession first then I will tell you everything." Ariana said cheerfully. Vera turned to Payton and looked him in the eyes.

"Moron! Couldn't you have told me this sooner!" She shouted then pulled on his blazer making him bend down. The moment he was close enough she kissed him. Cheers could be heard all around them and the two separated immediately. They completely forgot that they were in the quad in front of the school and everyone had gathered to watch the show. "Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to announce the new happy couple! Congratulations Vera DuChamp and Payton Cress!" Ariana shouted and another round of applause erupted. Vera turned redder as she received everyone's good wishes while Payton grinned like a fool. When the cheering died down Ariana turned to the couple and gestured them towards a more isolated spot. "If you don't mind I would like to have a chat with you." She said as she gave Vera a sly smirk.

"What's this about?" Vera said as she raised an eyebrow. "Nothing really just fulfilling a promise." Ariana said playfully as she looked at Payton. Payton placed himself in between Ariana and Vera. He stared down Ariana as he puffed out his chest. Ariana couldn't hold on to her stoic face any more and started to laugh. "Can someone please explain what's going on?" Vera pleaded as she walked around Payton. "I'm sorry!" Ariana cried as she held her gut. "I wanted to rip out Payton's cowardly heart and give him a new one." She said as she took deep breaths to calm herself down. "Wait, what?" Vera and Payton said in unison. "Payton pissed me off so I scared him a little. I was 99% sure he would confess to you. There by killing that cowardly heart of his but I had no idea how you felt about him. Honestly I thought you would leave him hanging and he would have to court you until you got over Cayden.... Vera moved up and pinched both of Ariana's cheeks. "By asking!" She said. "But you blushed!" Ariana said as her face stretched out. "of course I did! Another guy touched me in front of Payton! I hoped he would step up and say something like 'She's mine! Don't touch her so easily.' or you know whatever..." Vera said as she let Ariana's face go. Her face turned a brighter red as she looked away.

"So when Cayden broke off the engagement with Vanessa?" Ariana said as she rubbed her cheeks. "Jealous... I wanted to have a scene like that with the one I loved." Vera replied as she peeked at Payton. "I'm glad you got your wish... well one of your wishes. I want to know if you want the other one granted?" Ariana said as she gave a cheeky grin. "What's that?" Vera asked. "Joining the Student Council..."
