My Idle Gaming System Chapter 4

As Noah followed the party of Iron Rank Blessed through the Dimensional Rifts, he expanded his sight while tightly holding on to his sword.

His shining eyes saw the Blessed of this new Realm he found himself move with vigor as they took down Dimensional Beasts!

It was truly more than enough to make his heart that read novels day and night about such things be satiated.

'Ahh, if only I wasn't a talentless Blessed!'

His sorrows remained in his heart as he watched his little sister work with her team to clear the Flaming Cows of the first floor.

When all of them were cleared, only a bit over 20 minutes had passed as the team counted their loot before moving forward.

"...only 3 Low Rank Iron Cores from all those Dimensional Beasts. We better hope for more luck on the second and third floor or we'll barely have enough for renting equipment next time!"

The team leader sighed dejectedly while cursing their luck, bringing to light the plight of many Blessed that delved into Dimensional Rifts- the very low drop rate!

Equipment had an even lower drop rate than items as the Blessed Academy rented it out a full day for a single Low Rank Iron Core.

"We have our equipment for 24 hours, we can just dive again after we rest for a few hours to cover all expenses and gain profit!"

Noah's little sister Annalise voiced out powerfully as her teammates smiled at each other, getting themselves ready before moving on.

Noah felt his heart strings be pulled as he saw this little sister of his that must have been working hard this entire time, fighting in Dimensional Rifts every day to hone her skills.

It made him grasp his sword harder as he wished he had the capability and sufficient strength to do the same, or even go above it!

The party continued forward as they stepped on a blue runic magic circle that appeared the moment the mobs of the first domain were cleared, each of them being teleported into the second domain of the Dimensional Rift.

The monsters here were ferocious looking Flaming Crows that were fiercly swarming the skies, the Beasts from the skies being particularly deadly as they put that much pressure on the party!

But they were veterans that had delved into this Dimensional Rift multiple times, their teamwork solid as they began clearing it with out too much trouble.

On the last Dimensional Beast of the floor was a Flaming Crow, Annalise didn't shoot her last arrow to finish it as she held her teammates back and pointed to her brother.

"Come, it's on its last legs and simply waiting for a finishing strike."

Annalise beckoned towards Noah as he grasped his sword seriously, going towards the limping Crow that was letting out its last squeeks as he trusted in the Iron Rank Equipment he wore and his body of a Blessed that was stronger than a normal man.

SHULK!

His sword descended down on the Dimensional Beast that was on its last breath as it was put out of its misery, its body shining out in a glimmer of colors as from it...loot dropped!

The eyes of Annalise and her teammates opened wide as they watched with agape expressions the appearance of not a Core...but a piece of equipment from the defeated beast.

The thing with the lowest drop rate...dropped from the beast killed by someone that had never even killed before!

"What dumb luck…"

The second tank whispered out incredulously as Annalise looked towards her older brother that had picked up the glimmering red armor that dropped, going towards her with a smile as he handed her the armor.

"My present to you, little sister."

The party members shook their heads incredulously at this scene as they smiled, Annalise taking the armor as she nodded with shining eyes!

Any equipment, even Iron Ranked ones, could fetch for a nice price of multiple Cores in the market- this was especially so for all body armors like this one.

They could also choose to keep the Equipment as they reduced their daily costs of renting things from the Armament Department.

When everyone in their team was decked with gear of their own without having to rent...they could freely farm the Iron Rank Dimensional Rifts around Academy City until they grew strong enough to challenge Bronze Ranked Rifts and eventually break through the shackles of Iron Rank Blessed!

The emotions of the party were high as they stepped onto the margin circle leading to the last domain of the Burning Domains Rift.

There was but a single monster on this floor- the Boss monster that was a fearsome looking beast Noah had heard of from legends...the Minotaur!

ROAAAR!

The 4 meter tall creature roared out gloriously towards them as the party moved together with great teamwork to surround it and begin slowly grinding it down.

They were pumped from having an Equipment drop on the past floor as they moved with vigor to attack the Minotaur!

Noah stayed in the back as he protected his inexperienced self, only moving forward when his little sister said so to release a single strike from the beaten down Minotaur.

It took the party about 20 minutes to tear down the defenses of the Boss monster as an ice arrow from Annalise incidentally took it down.

THRUUM!

The surroundings shook as the boss disappeared into particles of light, leaving behind 10 Low Iron Rank Cores...and nothing else!

"Bah!"

The party members released a groan of disappointment as even though Boss monsters had more chances to drop Equipment, the chance was still low.

They found themselves turning their gaze to Noah as they wondered...would the boss have dropped something more if he had landed the last strike?

But their gazes found a surprised Noah that was blankly looking in the air, his body beginning to tremble in excitement as he screamed out indiscernible words!

"I...I have a system!"

RUMBLE!
