My First and Last Man Chapter 60: Farewell Party : Part 1

The decorations in the room is just simple that consists of pink and light blue balloons, the foods are place in both corners, they have 7 circular tables with 8 chairs on each tables. Both chairs and tables are covered with white clothes, they also put a little stage for the speeches and have a screen for videos or for slideahiwr. The 5 staff arrives and position themself near the foods of both corner.

At exaclty 1pm everyone arrives, they seated base by their position while Rei seated separately because she have the kids with her and the program start by Manager Xiu.

"Alright everyone, I'm sure all of you wonders why we're having a farewell party for Ms Rei. Some of you are happy and some of you are sad. But before the speeches start, let's see first how Ms Rei entered in the company."

A video start playing after Manager Xiu signal them to play the video. It's a video about Rei initial interview and final interview. After 30 minutes, all of them except the seniors head suddenly realized that Rei is really a genius and smart one because from this video they know Rei answered them confidently.

"So all of you witnessed why Ms Rei got hired and next we will show you how Ms Rei as an intern"

Another video start which is only a highlight for being intern in just a week. They witness Mrs Min given advices to Ms Rei that she never complained and just follows everything because of this, they realized that Rei is really an obedient person, she nevers complain because she know it would be for her own good. They also witness how Rei and Mrs Min become close in just a week that they're like a pair of mother and daughter relationship.

After 45 minutes, the video end and Manager Xiu talk "alright, before we proceeds to the speeches, the restaurant staffs will give you a light snacks so that you will not be bored when you heard our boring speeches, while listening from us, you will enjoy eating" everyone of them laugh then the staff serve cakes and carbonated drinks."

"So as a mentor of Ms Rei, Mrs Min will go first followed by 7 Seniors Head or Head HR, while me being the last before our main star. Mrs Min please come up here in the stage and give Ms Rei a simple farewell speech for her." Manager Xiu change the plan, instead by positions he change it according when they want to talk.

Mrs Min stand and then give a short message to Rei "Ms Rei or Rei, you are an intelligent, genius and one of a kind. As a mentor just keep up a good work and you will aim your goal. I know it's a goodbye for you but wherever you are, you're already belong with us. Just stay who you are and always down to earth."

Head Senior's 7 : "Ms Rei, I know I didn't interact you that much but as one of your seniors, I know you're too humble even someone trying to slander you, you didn't react that much and just continue to be professional. You help you're fellow co-workers if their in a pinch but you didn't take the credits instead you let them be. Just stay strong and you're still young, so you have a bright future."

Head HR : "Ms Rei, from your name you're a reliable, efficient and intelligent. It's just like you got that name because this is who you are and what you are. You're an intelligent but you didn't show off what and who truly you are. You let them be what they think and just ignore like you didn't care but I know you got hurt and instead of getting hurt, you just react like you didn't care and just do your job. I know this because I'm the HR Head, what's the purpose that I become an HR head if I don't know how to observe my fellow co-workers. Just be you are and you have a bright future ahead."

Head Senior's 6 : "I really wonder if you're older compared to me because you're more mature compared to me but well you're the young one but yet sometimes if you really thay young because you're the one who offer a hand to help me. I never forget that one Ms Rei, you just joined in our team for not almost a month and you help me without asking any help. If not for you, I wonder if my grandson's will be save that time. It just happened that you heard my conversation with my son and you even excuse us for involving in our family matters but then you advice to keep calm and do the necessary one like instead of being panic we must deliver the kid to the hospital, you even go with us just to be sure. That time I was surprised that you suddenly initiate to talk because you're always an aloof and cold one but behind that facade your kind and very reliable."

Head Seniors 6 : "So not just me that got help by you Ms Rei. You're still young Ms Rei but you're so calm and I don't know who will be the one can move you to be more anxious and you will panic but well if it's happen then that person must be the most important person to you. For now until the end, just continue to be who you are"

Head Seniors 5 : "Tsk, tsk our strict Head HR become smooth towards you Ms Rei but well you deserve it well because we know that you're never the one who assume and pretend like a good person because this is who you are. The only one you need to impove is you to be more socialize, I know you're an aloof and cold but try to share your opinions to everyone. If you did I'm sure no one will slander on you"

Head Seniors 4 : "Ha, ha you got it wrong Sir because if you will be like that you will get more enemy but you have a good point but as one of Ms Rei Head, I understand her. Ms Rei just keep being aloof and cold because she doesn't need someone to attract attention. Ms Rei, I know that you know how to separate the good and bad ones, so just keep it like that. I'm sure after you left the team, you have a bright future awaits for you"

Head Seniors 3 : "I wonder if were here for debate or for Ms Rei farewell party." They laugh "Well, well it's obvious it's for Ms Rei farewell party but before I proceed to my message, Ms Rei can you come up here on stage?"

After hearing it everyone are looking to Rei and they just realized that Rei presence is not the usual one because Rei is wearing a dress for the first time and most of the mens blush. At first they almost not recognize her but due to her simple make up, they recognize her meanwhile Rei excuse herself to the kids.

"Kids just stay here and behave"

"Yes Aunt" they just said it quietly.

Then Rei stand and approach to the seniors who's calling her.

"Yes Senior Kang, what is it?"

"Just stand there Ms Rei" being the mood maker, she continue "so everyone, I know some of you prepared gift for Ms Rei, please give it now and I'm sure you will have no chance to give it to her once this party end."

After hearing it, they understand what her intentions and Senior Kang is right, after the party they won't have a chance to give their to Rei, so everyone stand and give their gifts to Rei one by one except for Ms Zhang and Ms Li. After giving their gifts they seat again while Senior Kang continue.

"Aiyah, I never except that most of employees of CA International Company C City Branch give you a gift Ms Rei, so how do you feel right now?"

"I...."

"Oops sorry I forgot to mention to you Ms Rei, it's still my speech time and since it's not your time so just add this one to your speech. Now, now, just let your gifts in here don't worry no one can steal it from you and take a seat first Ms Rei, you're kids are waiting you at your table." again everyone laugh. Rei already seated and she continue

"So all of you wonder why I told you to give the gifts to Ms Rei, right?" everyone nodded except Rei and she notice it.

"Tsk, tsk, Ms Rei you already know it right?" Rei nodded "Aiyo, this smart one so troublesome but well I will not let you, so guys the reason why I did that one is because this is like a test for all of you. The one who gives the gift to Ms Rei are the one who value her as an important one, as a friend, as a colleague or maybe as a romantic one. Now I'm done but before I end my speech, Ms Rei here's my advice for you just stay who you are and always be down to earth. You're a smart person, so you can differentiate between good and bad"

"Alright, thank you Senior Kang and before we continue for the other messages or speeches, let's eat first"

All of them fall in line to get their foods, Rei fall in line together with the kids. She only let the kids carry the light one. After they got their foods, everyone start eating while playing a slideshow that all of the photos they have.
