Qingfu hurried to run to see the man. When she found who it was, she went to explain for him. "Hey, this is my . . . my master. I just asked him to come here to wait for me."
Her sight moved to Tianhan's hand. The two big steamed stuffed buns were sending out irresistible smells. Her stomach began to make noises. Qingfu swallowed and turned to look at Wu awkwardly. "Prince, I have a habit of eating two buns before healing anyone. You don't mind, right?"
Tianhan sighed. ". . ."
Wu Cisheng also sighed. ". . ."
Seeing Wu wave his hand to agree, Qingfu hurried to take her buns from Tianhan, eating them one bite after another. Soon she felt so happy that each of her pores opened with content.
When she finished the two buns, Qingfu burped. She ignored the smell of buns in the room and walked to the bed to check the daughter of Wu. She was wearing a white silk dress, her face was pale, and she was a pretty one, with a high nose bridge and curved lips. She was like a sleeping beauty.
Her father sighed and came near. "Several days ago, she could still walk for some distance. But recently she fell into a lethargic sleep. The time of clear-headedness is few."
Qingfu took a careful look at the girl and immediately she found the girl was occupied by some evil spirit instead of being sick. She frowned at Tianhan and lowered her voice. "Lord, you want me to catch the spirit?"
Tianhan nodded. "Finally you realized."
Qingfu raised her eyebrow and took out a pill and put it into the girl's mouth. She turned to tell the father, "She will be fine in a month. But I should stay at your villa for some days."
"Really?" Wu Cisheng asked, "But why?"
Qingfu shrugged. "If I am right, there is a spirit in your mansion. It is evil, and that is why your daughter got sick."
"What?!" Wu's face turned interested. "An evil spirit?"
Qingfu nodded.
She felt a little uncomfortable, as she herself was also a spirit. But she was not evil. Human beings would not care about the difference. Any spirit was a threat. In fact, the world of spirits were much too complicated. The evil beings had done many wrong-doings and so had become their enemy.
Qingfu sighed. "Try to figure out when your daughter became uncomfortable. Thus, I can have some clues."
Wu Cisheng seemed to be frightened by the truth and his own expression was full of fear.
Qingfu hinted to Tianhan to have a talk outside. Tianhan and she went out together.
Without seeing the horror in Wu's eyes, Qingfu turned better. But her mood was still a little low. She sighed and asked, "Do you think that all of us are evil?"
Tianhan, after staring at her for a while, suddenly reached out his hand to rub her hair and smiled. "I don't know the others, but I know you are a good spirit."
Qingfu's heart beat much quicker.
She lifted up her head, to find Tianhan's lips curved and covered by the sunshine. His smile was the softest thing in the world, and the source of her entanglement. Once she saw his smile, she couldn't forget him.
Whatever good or evil, they loved beautiful things.
Qingfu stared at him, spellbound. "Lord Tianhan, you should laugh often."
Tianhan soon realized his infraction and he turned cold again.
Qingfu shrugged. She was healed by his smile, so she went back to the room.
Tianhan stopped her by asking, "Why do you go back?"
Qingfu turned her head toward him, answering seriously, "I healed his daughter. He should give me that plate."
Tianhan shook his head. That was her, so stubborn.
In fact, the mission was to get rid of the evil spirit instead of getting back the jade plate. But . . . she didn't discover this simple truth.
