My Extraordinary Achievement Chapter 58: Driving the Host to Madness

Bearing Meng Cai Wei's resentment all the way back to the classroom; to her, Meng Fan had gone from 'hanging up on her' to being a meat lump that she had raised poorly. She had said her relationship with him was his fat, as she had helped to cultivate it, but what does that have to do with Meng Fan? Because he was fleshy, shouldn't she be the one to apologize to him? How could she still complain...?

Meng Fan waved it off and walked upstairs, shaking his head. Why do they keep running into his body?

Meng Fan returned to the dormitory where the other three roommates were present. 

He put down his art tube and asked them, "What are your plans for the upcoming break?"

It was the end of September, and the first long vacation was coming up. 

"I'm going to my hometown, I booked my flight already." Xing Ta Ge pointed at Zhang Zhou Wei and continued, "These guys were planning to go to NJ during the break with their girlfriends. If you want to tag along, I can introduce someone for you so you won't be a sulky third wheel the whole time." 

"Nevermind." 

Meng Fan wanted to ask what plans they had so if they didn't, they could go to Shanghai and watch the concert together. 

Before his reincarnation, Meng Fan had brought along a beaten up Chen Da Qiang. The effect was mediocre at best. 

After his reincarnation, Chen Da Qiang didn't get beat, nor get depressed, but got together with Wei Zhi Xue ahead of schedule. 

Since they already had plans, Meng Fan didn't mention this, avoiding the fuss that it might have induced. 

Particularly about Meng Cai Wei being his sister, as this was different from the case with Qing Jiao being his mom's student. The latter could be explained if someone asked, but as for the former... it would be best to keep it a secret to avoid any trouble.

This morning's ten-kilometer run elapsed a total time of 1 hour 11 minutes and 53 seconds, a higher increase than the day before. His body had become accustomed to the +2 endurance.

He still streamed it, with the number of online viewers much more than the morning before, reaching 233 at its peak. It was indeed 233 to be watching someone's running stream this early.

The total views reached 600. Even though mosquitoes are small, they are still fair meat. 

"Tomorrow morning at ten, don't forget." 

Wu Tong arrived at the track after Meng Fan. She only ran 8 kilometers, but she was way faster than Meng Fan. When Meng Fan finished his run and prepared to stretch, she has already finished her post-run stretches.

She was supposed to head to the event site early the next morning, so she won't be doing her morning run and took this as an opportunity to remind Meng Fan.

Remembering that she herself wouldn't be doing a morning run, she added, "You better not come here and run laps tomorrow morning." 

"Yep, I remember." Meng Fan nodded as Wu Tong prepared to leave. He thought about it, and asked her shakily, "Do you have any plans for October 1st, long weekend?" 

Wu Tong smiled. "My 15th brother is getting married, so I have to go back to Shanghai."

Meng Fan paused for a moment. He had remembered it was the thirteenth brother last time who was getting married. His eyes then lit up. "You're going back to Shanghai?" 

"Yeah, why?" Wu Tong asked.

Meng Fan blushed a bit, then nodded, and with a stutter in his voice asked her, "Oh is that so, I have two tickets for Su Qing Cen on October 5th in Shanghai and was supposed to go with a roommate but he canceled last minute, so I wanted to find someone to go with, so I wanted to ask if you were interested." 

"I'm interested! Very interested!" 

Wu Tong's response came swiftly, so swiftly it concerned Meng Fan a little. He just wanted to ask her, unsure of what the outcome would be. 

"I even set an alarm for Shan Jin bro's tour this time and couldn't get any tickets, I was going to buy from a scalper. I didn't know you had tickets too, that's amazing!" 

Wu Tong was overjoyed and pulled out her phone from her armband and asked Meng Fan, "How much are the tickets, I'll transfer you now." 

Meng Fan snapped back from his state of blissful delight and waved his hand. "My tickets were a gift from someone." 

"No that won't do, they gifted it to you, I should still pay you back for its value." Wu Tong looked very serious. 

This made Meng Fan a bit restless. If it had been regular tickets and Wu Tong had pressed, he could have easily given it for 4-500 HXB. But these tickets were floor seats, so it would have been awkward if it exceeded Wu Tong's expectations. 

He thought about it and responded, "Someone gifted these to me, so I shouldn't sell them for money. How does this sound? When I go to Shanghai, you treat me to a meal." 

"That works I guess, but you can't be polite and hold back, okay?" Wu Tong agreed with Meng Fan's argument and put away her phone. 

Meng Fan smiled. "Towards other things, I might be polite, but towards food, I really can't refrain." 

Wu Tong heard the words and teased him. "Then I think you have to eat a bit less!" 

Wu Tong's unexpected acceptance of his invitation to go to the concert had put him in a glorious mood. He managed to maintain his high spirits through lunch as he headed out of the campus, to the bus going to Song Cheng. 

Guess what Meng Fan saw then? 

A Smart car! 

Such a delicate body, but so conspicuous to Meng Fan's eyes. 

To him, this smart car had its own +100 points of validation! 

"Mr. Host!" 

Evidently, Meng Fan's own presence was strong as well. As soon as he arrived at the school gate, the smart car's window rolled down and revealed once again the vibrant smile of the Shi Zhan youth. 

Go! 

Meng pretended as if he hadn't seen or heard anything, heading towards the bus stop with large strides. Just then, a bus had just pulled in, and Meng Fan jumped on without regard for where it was going.

Buddy, it's not that this host is looking down on you. Your car is really too ferocious. 

"You motherf*cker actually followed me!" 

After being visibly agitated for the entire trip, Meng Fan finally let out a sigh when the bus approached the city gates at Song Cheng. 

"Mr. Host, did you get in the wrong car? You must have been too rushed!" The Shi Zhan youth parked his car and bought his ticket before running up to Meng Fan. With a serious expression, he said, "Next time you're going to stream in Song Cheng, or another outdoor location, let us know in the channel. I'll come to pick you up from campus. Of course, if you could leave me your WeChat, that would be even better." 

Meng Fan wanted to ask if he was doing this on purpose. 

Whoosh. 

Coincidentally, when Shi Zhan youth caught up to Meng Fan's location, they had been just outside the city gate. Just as they were having a heart to heart conversation, the silk ball tossed by Miss Wang landed on Meng Fan. 

"This is too f*cking overpowered!" 

The Shi Zhan youth looked at Meng Fan with a sour expression as he was brought up the wall by the family members, turning ten times sourer progressively as he watched Meng Fan's 'thumbs up' dance from beginning to end. By the time Meng Fan finished, the Shi Zhan youth felt queasy throughout his entire body. 

'Did I take my jokes too far and drove Mr. Host into madness?'
