My Bothersome Life Chapter 20

I quickly ran to my room while ignoring Luke's eyes that seemed to contain a warning . I grabbed my stash of books taped under my bed and more piles of junk food taped underneath one of my drawers in my closet . I brought out a box that I brought with me from my house and put my junk food and books at the bottom and put some clothes I bought from the mall on the top with Luke to hide the contents on the bottom .

What else did I miss? Making sure I didn't miss anything, I walked out the room before Luke was about to open the door . "I already finished packing my things," I said to not look suspicious .

After Luke nodded his head, I headed towards the classroom to wait for the rest of my classmates . When everyone came back, the teacher declared, "I will now announce the new pairings for the next two weeks . Helena will be with Luke, Rika with Allan, while Michelle and Alex will remain the same until two weeks later . "

After being led to the medieval-like room that I was expecting, I placed my box on the floor . My impression of Allan was that he was pretty laid back, which was in turn pretty advantageous for me . I wasn't motivated in upgrading the room, since I knew I would come back to this room again two weeks afterwards . So after we were given the rest of the day to interact with our new partners, I took out a light novel and a bag of chips and sat down on the straw bed .

If Luke was here, I would never behave this way, but since it was Allan, I decided to do whatever I wanted to do . I ended up not talking with Allan for the entire day and went to sleep after finishing the book .

The next day, when I saw Allan heading towards Luke, I gave him a good glare to threaten him to not tell Luke what he saw yesterday . I think it worked, because Luke didn't come to me during break time . However, during the last class before the next break, Daniel announced, "We will be giving out the initiation exam tomorrow so study hard to get some points! Starting from tomorrow, we will not be giving free meals after the exam . "

At this point of time, I didn't care about upgrading the room or getting more points for meals because I already had my stash of junk food with me . So I wasn't planning to study .

Thus, while everyone was fiercely studying for the exam tomorrow during the next break, I walked back to my room to read my next light novel .

When I got back to classroom for the next class, Allan came up to me to ask, "Where did you go during break?"

"I just went back to our room to resume doing the same thing as yesterday . "

Allan's jaw dropped in shock as he asked, "You're not going to study for tomorrow's exam?"

"No, I don't feel like studying today," I replied .

When Allan was about to say something, the next class started, so Allan reluctantly returned to his seat .

When the last class ended, Allan hurriedly walked to my seat while I was packing up my stuff . "Are you sure, you're going to be okay with not studying today?" Allan asked firmly .

"I'm sure I'll do okay," I replied . What I didn't tell him was that I was just planning to pass .

The next day when we wrote our exams, we got all our marks back when we finished writing all our exams . When I got all the exam booklets back, even I was shocked with my marks . It was stamped with some 30s, 40s and one 50 and 20 . At least I passed with one subject, I thought while thinking the middle school exams here resembled the masters level in university in my past life .

When Allan walked over to my desk to look over my marks, his jaw dropped again in shock, while I was looking at Allan's marks that were mostly 80s . At this rate, I knew that we were going to get minus points when it all balanced out . Oh well! I guess I'll go share my stash of junk food with Allan I thought .

Few minutes later, the teacher showed our results on the monitor:

Michelle and Alex : 70 000 points

Helena and Luke: 95 000 points

Rika and Allan: - 100 000 points

Wow . I think this was my first time seeing a pair get - 100 000 points . When Allan saw the result, he fainted from the shock . The other five just had their jaws dropping in shock (including the teacher) .

But, I wasn't too worried because I had some food with me inside my room . If Allan and I ate the food that I had very scarcely, we wouldn't have to starve anyways . I walked back to the room while dragging Allan along on the floor while the others were still frozen inside the classroom .
