My Bothersome Life 4 Hell-like School 2

"Is this all over?" I groaned.

The silver haired boy looked cautious while saying, "no, but we're half way there. Lunch is the only break we have, so you're going to get hungry again if you end up sleeping in the infirmary room instead of going to the cafeteria as usual."

I could understand why my "past self" would sleep instead of eating. But, I ended up being dragged by the four year old into the cafeteria and sat down on a seat in the long wooden table. "Hey Luke! Want to compete after you're done eating?" A pink haired boy with red eyes asked.

Oh! The silver haired boy's name was Luke. I was surprised these children still had the energy to move after all these lessons.

"Not today, Slivest. I have to make sure that Rika eats today or else she's going to faint during class again." (Luke)

I did wonder before, but I wondered why Luke was taking care of me. He could have just ignored me and did whatever he wanted to do. I wondered what our relationship was.

"Luke, why are you so concerned about me?" I voiced my thoughts out loud.

"It's because we're engaged to each other." (Luke)

My jaw dropped from that statement. How? How? How can four year olds get already engaged?

"Why? How?" I exclaimed.

"By lottery. Once you enter this school at two years of age, you get a partner with the opposite gender to accumulate points together. Once you accumulate points, you can get access to superior class education to eventually unlock the next grade level class. Apparently, in this school, they use the partner system in order to teach teamwork and social skills." (Luke)

At this point, Luke seemed way to competent and mature for his age. To me it seemed a little too creepy for a four year old, reminding me how different this world was from the one that I came from.

"I just noticed this but after ten hours of classes, wouldn't the sky be normally dark?" OOPS, I accidentally said my thoughts out loud again.

"They use space-time magic within the classroom to make sure that the time goes slower inside the classroom than outside. But, Rika, you already know about this. Why ask all these questions now?" Luke tilted his head in confusion.

"It's just that I kind of forgot. It must be from fainting all the time?" At this rate even I didn't know what I was saying.

A announcement suddenly came from the speakers: "Students, only ten more minutes of break time!"

Luke's face turned grim, "Rika, hurry up and eat."

I started eating as fast I could because I knew I would die during the next ten hours if I didn't. Afterwards, Luke started dragging me back into that hell-like classroom and I suffered for the next ten hours.

By the time, "class time" was finished, I felt mentally and physically unable to function. This was when I heard, "Wow S-class students are really different from other people!"

"Look! They're so handsome and pretty ~"

"I heard they're really smart as well!"

"When will I be able to accumulate enough points... My partner is way too stupid!"

"Luke, do all people our age have classes this long?" (Rika)

"No, your classes get longer as you get into higher ranking classes," Luke replied.

Ohh. I see. Only special class people study this much! I knew it was suspicious that young four year olds had to study this much! The classroom did have few desks that only numbered to about sixteen. Well then time to go home!

I started to go outside the building, as Luke suddenly grabbed my wrist. "Where are you going?" Luke asked with a scary face.

"Home!" I replied. You know Luke, you're going to scare everyone away even with your good looks if you cringe all the time.

"Did you forget that you promised me last year that we would have five hour study sessions after school is over?" (Luke)

I knew that Rika wasn't the type to study. There should have been a reason why Luke was able to get into the S-class with a partner like Rika. Luke dragged me to the library where there were study rooms where you can adjust speed of time within the rooms using the space-time magic.

Luke drilled in everything that we learned in class today and made me do the same with his spartan methods. "Rika~ If you do not pay attention this time, I will increase the time by an hour."

Luke looked pleased after the study session was over. I used every last bit of my past life's memory to get through the classes and Luke's study sessions. Maybe that was why Luke was beaming afterwards. I wondered why Luke looked so desperate to get into better ranking classes.

"Can I go home now?" I asked fearfully.

When Luke nodded, I ran outside the building to find my mother's car and to escape as soon as possible from that hell-like building. I was surprised that my mother's car just arrived as I ran out, but too tired to care. I entered the car to lose consciousness soon afterwards.
