Geng Zhishan followed him to the exterior of the house. Xie Mengxuan sat in the room and looked at them, but the distance and their low voices made it impossible for her to hear clearly.

“Darling~” Geng Zhishan stammered, reaching out a hand with an incredulous face.

Gu Yusheng gave Geng Zhishan a provocative look before closing the door, as if to say, 'Look, no matter how much you explain yourself, Xie Mengxuan believes in me!' Then he closed the door.

Xie Mengxuan sat in her room, her dismay disappearing. Her eyes gleamed brightly in the dark as she peered outside, seemingly thinking about something. She eventually sighed and lay down to sleep.

Outside, Geng Zhishan lowered his head without saying a single word more. After a while, he slowly walked to the front of the house and sat down. A faint aroma was slowly permeating the room.
