A touch of heartlessness flashed in Geng Zhishan's eyes which wasn't in conformity with his face. He could handle it quickly. The dagger had been sharpened, glimmering with cold light. Only one cut was enough to kill a person.

But at that moment, Gu Yusheng murmured, and when he moved, he began to twitch uncontrollably. The blood flowed out of the corner of his mouth. Geng Zhishan squatted beside him and stopped the dagger at his chest instead of piercing through his clothes.

He was not a kind man, but he retreated the dagger when he remembered that Xie was very firm about taking this man with them before she slipped into a coma. Furthermore, his convulsions were abnormal.

He stretched out his hand to feel Gu Yusheng's pulse and thought carefully, his look turning colder and colder.

'How could it possible? Is he really a member of the clan?'

The man stepped forward slowly and kicked out the dagger he had hidden on one side, "If so, what is this?"

Geng Zhishan was in a panic as if he was hesitant to speak something.

The man clasped Geng's neck and said, "You want to kill him! You look like a sincere man, but you are so cruel!"

"You're talking nonsense! I'm not! He stayed with my wife for two days. It's rational that I want to kill him. What's wrong with that?"

Geng Zhishan straightened himself and stared at the man. There was an air of disobedience around him. However, the man did not say a word and also looked into his eyes with his own gloomy ones.

After a while, Geng Zhishan began to wobble, and the man smiled, "You are a man of courage and uprightness, but you're too timid." The man bent down, picked up the dagger, placed it at Geng Zhishan's face and raised his chin,, " You can't kill this man."

"If I am supposed not to kill him, I won't do it. Don't scare me?" Geng Zhishan dodged aside and murmured.

The man seemed to be satisfied. He burst into laughter but soon controlled himself. "Where is your house? Take us there."

Geng Zhishan immediately jumped up after hearing his words and said disdainfully, "Why do you need to go to my house? No, you can take him away, but you can't come back home with me!"

The man gave him a blank stare as a reply. He squinted at Geng, "Huh? What are you talking about?"

The man's momentum was appalling. Geng Zhishan was scared and was forced to step backward, but he insisted on saying, "I-I said you can't come back with me! What if he hooks up with my wife!?"

"Hha, lad,  you have no other choice. Either take us back, or you and your wife will be dead today." The man played with the dagger in his hand.

He looked so severe that Geng Zhishan could sense that he would really keep his promise. The man walked forward, step by step, until the dagger in his hand directly pointed at Xie Mengxuan.

"Don't hurt her! I promise you that I will do it! I promise!" Geng Zhishan said hurriedly, pouncing over to protect Xie Mengxuan.

The man was satisfied with his behavior and removed the dagger. "My family name is Luo. I don't have a full name, so just call me Uncle Luo."

Uncle Luo took the initiative to introduce himself. Geng Zhishan nodded his head in approval. He carried Xie Mengxuan on his back and went forward without saying a word.

When they came back to the cabin, Geng Zhishen carefully put Xie Mengxuan on the bed in the bedroom. When he tidied her quilt, he quickly gave her a gentle tap on her acupoint to ensure that she could sleep until the next morning.

Uncle Luo also put Gu Yusheng aside and looked around. Then he cleaned up the messy cabin and took Gu Yusheng to the cabin to lie down.

There were two more people in the room, so Geng Zhishan was worried and didn't sleep well all night.

Xie Mengxuan stopped struggling and turned her head to look at Geng Zhishan. The man had treated her sincerely without any other intentions. For protecting her, he declared that she was his wife at this period of time. And when living in Zhoujia Village, she had not refused him clearly yet.
