Shen Ruyi stopped when she heard her scream. When she turned she saw Ru Shi whining in pain as she holds her ankle while sitting on the ground.

"Ru Shi, are you okay?"

She worriedly asked as she approached her.

"It hurts."

Ru Shi looked up at her as she complained.

"Why are you so stupid? Who let you run in heels like a madwoman!'

Shen Ruyi scolded her but one can hear the self-blame and worry in her voice.

Ru Shi pouted as she looked at her.

Shen Ruyi sighed

"Do you want me to go and call my cousin?"

She said as she turned to look at her.

If I tell you and the next day we break up. What will I do?

So I wanted to wait for the right time."

Shen Ruyi snorted.

They looked at each other.

Ru Shi sighed.

"First, you didn't tell me when your parents died. If I hadn't come back to China I'd have never known about it. You suffered alone. Now when you're with my cousin who was hurting you, you didn't tell me! Every time I asked you what's wrong you either lie or ignore the question."

Ru Shi bowed her head.

Shen Ruyi interrupted her

"Burden? Are you stupid? I'm your friend Ru Shi. Friends are each other's burden. We promised each other to be there for each other no matter what. We'll never lie and we'll tell each other everything!"

Ru Shi looked up

"But you left. Everyone left me. They promised me to be there for me but they all left me alone."

She whispered softly.

Shen Ruyi sighed.

She shifted and wrapped her hands on Ru Shi's shoulder.

"You silly girl. I didn't leave you. You could have called me and I would have come."

Ru Shi blinked away the tears that were threatening to come.

"You don't have to act strong anytime. If you want to cry just cry."

"They looked at each other and laughed."

"So have you forgiven me?"

Ru Shi asked with anticipation.

"I'll cook your favourite food for you and do a painting for you"

He asked Ru Shi.

Mu Chang playfully knocked her forehead.

She pouted

Of course, Mu Chang wasn't going to tell her because he was jealous of a kid.

He changed the subject.

"Did Xiao Shen bully you?"

Ru Shi nodded
