Ru Shi stiffened as she heard the familiar melody in the dark quiet hall.

The guests began to whisper as they stared at her.

They stared at each other as if they were having a silent conversation. Ru Shi finally looked away as tears were threatening to blur her vision. Mu Chang pulled her closer to him wrapping his arms around her.

His embrace was warm, and his big, strong arms seemed very protective when wrapped around her frail body. The world around her melted away as she squeezed him back, not wanting the moment to end.

"Please don't make me wait for you again." The words hardly managed to break out as the sob's she was holding in chocked her voice back. His chin rested on top of her head. His arms clenched her tighter.

"I'll never let you wait for me again. I promise."

Shen Ruyi froze as she looked at her cold cousin playing the violin as the light fell on Ru Shi.

She turned to look at Wang Lu.

"Don't tell me my cousin likes Ru Shi and he's trying to ask her out in this way?"
