Shen Ruyi frowned as she heard Li Mu

"You want me to bring Ru Shi to the gala?"

She asked again as she looked at her cousin.

"Well."

She looked at him suspiciously as she asked

"Why? It's not like you guys know each other..."

She paused as if she had unrivalled a big mystery.

"Do you like her? But cousin she has a boyfriend. And it seems she really loves him.

You should see the way her eyes glow when she talks about him. I don't think you can compete with the guy though."

Mu Chang turned to look at her

"Do you think she really likes the guy?"

Shen Ruyi nodded as she said.

"Hmmm. I really hope he doesn't hurt her. She has been through a lot. I hope she can be happy for once."

She said as she walked to the window.

"So cousin you can't like her."

Mu Chang ignores her as he said,

"Just bring her to the gala."

After he said that he left

Shen Ruyi stared at her cousin's back and fell into deep thought.

Days passed quickly and in a blink of an eye, Friday came.

There was huge traffic in town that day because of the Li Corps gala. People who were invited all over the world was flying to China for this gala.

Li Corps is now the biggest company in China so everybody wanted to have a connection with the CEO. Also, some legendary figures will be there. Nobody wanted to miss this chance.

The media came to cover the hottest event of the year.

Qin Jieli looked at herself in the mirror and smiled as she titled her hair in every corner.

"Woow miss you look very beautiful. I'm sure you'll be the most beautiful woman in that room!"

The maid excitedly praised Qin Jieli.

"I'm sure all the men in the room will have their eye glued on you. No one can compete with your beauty!"

The fashion designer said.

Qin Jieli smiled with gratification as she observed herself within the mirror. She looked like a goddess. she had a heart-shaped face and soft brunette waves that tumbled down her back. A floor-length gown that caressed her curves and gently flared out, the fabric ruffling against her toes. Furthermore, her gown possessed a sweetheart neckline which tastefully showed only the slightest bit of her voluptuous breasts, making people want to see her entire chest. A long daring slit led to her hips and was accentuated by the golden sandals that wrapped around her ankles, peeking through the sexy incision.

"True. No man can escape from my hands not even Mu Chang."

She smirked as she said.

She doesn't believe Mu Chang will not be swayed when he sees her.

The sound of piano playing swallowed the little chatter, soft giggles and pleasantries in the big ballroom.

The moment she arrived people looked at the splendid woman and begun to whisper.

"Isn't that the fiancée of Li Corps?"

The women started gossiping as they stared at her.

She looked at a goddess. She walked confidently as she ignored the looks the men where giving her.

Her goal is Mu Chang he has no time for other lowly men.

"Cousin. You look more beautiful than the last time I saw you. I nearly didn't recognize you."

Wang Lu smiled as he approached her.

The guest surrounding gave way and watched their exchange.

Everyone knows how much Wang Lu dotes on his cousin. They didn't want to stand in his way.

"Well, you also look good cousin."

She smiled as she hugged him.

After they parted, she looked behind him as she sighed in disappointment.

She thought Mu Chang has come.

Just as she was searching around, she finally sees him coming through the entrance.

Gosh, he looked handsome in his expensive suit. He nodded at a few people as a form of greeting as he bypassed them.

She wanted to go to him but suddenly remembered his warning.

She knows she can be too impulsive.

She'll just wait for the right time to come.

Ru Shi frowned as she looked at Shen Ruyi.

You want me to attend the Li Corps gala with you?

"Yes,"

Shen Ruyi said as she sat down.

"And you're telling me on the day of the event?"

Shen Ruyi nodded

"How will I even get ready and who said I want to go?"

Shen Ruyi stood up as she walks towards her

"Don't worry. I've already brought a stylist"

Ru Shi frowned when she heard her.

"You've brought a stylist? Wait how did you even know I'll go?"

Shen Ruyi grinned but said nothing.

Ru Shi sighed.

The mere thought of seeing Mu Chang scared her.

What if she can't help herself and run back into his arms.

Even though she was scared, she really wanted to see him.

It took about two hours for them to get ready.

"Wow, Ru Shi. You look beautiful!"

Shen Ruyi said as she looked at her friend in the mirror.

"But I'm more beautiful though you know?"

Ru Shi giggled when she heard her.

"Yeah, Xiao Shen is the most beautiful woman in the world."

Shen Ruyi grinned

"Let's go"

When they reach their destination. Shen Ruyi frowned.

"Damn! I forgot something."

Ru Shi turned to look at her.

"What? Wait you don't expect me to enter alone right?"

Shen Ruyi looked at her.

Ru Shi frowned.

"Don't frown you'll be fine. Plus you look beautiful. Don't worry you'll be fine."

Mu Chang kept looking at the time as he kept staring at the entrance.

"Mr Li,"

A man called him from behind.

When Mu Chang turned he saw it's one of his business partners

He greeted him.

"I was wondering if you wanted to talk to our next deal..."

He trailed off as he stared at the entrance.

People looked at the beautiful woman standing at the entrance and gasped

She looked like she came out of a painting.

Her indifferent eyes didn't allow people to dare approach her.

If Qin Jieli looked like a seductress when she entered then this woman looked like a fairy

"Wow, who is that? Is she a celebrity?"

"Why haven't I seen her before?"

Mu Chang frowned when he saw the business partner not talking.

He heard people whispering about a woman.

He turned looking at the entrance.

The moment he did.

He stiffened.
