Later on, in the president's office on the top floor of Li Corps, three men sat on the sofa and looked at the man who is smoking in front of the floor to ceiling window.

Wang Lu looked at his friend who was smoking one cigarette after another.

He could not but say anything for a while.

"Hey, although I don't mind that you're smoking but you'll get lung cancer soon if you smoke so much. We'll waste money to treat it even though at the end of the day you'll die young."

Liang Shao looked at Mu Chang who has smoked so many cigarettes in the office.

"Li Mu what happened?" Wang Lu asked looking puzzled.

Mu Chang is not someone who likes to smoke in his office.

He always says that as a leader you should not bring your personal emotions to work, so he rarely smokes in the office.

But this week, days in a row, he had been avoiding his work.

He was always standing in front of the windows and smoking one cigarette after the other.

Mu Chang extinguished the cigarette, turned and looked at the three people in front of him.

"Nothing," he said shortly as he opened the file on the table only to find that he cannot concentrate.

He wrinkled his brows and closed the file.

He leaned back in his chair and took another cigarette to smoke.

Just as he took the lighter, Leng Yan took it from his hands.

Mu Chang glared coldly at him.

"Give it to me." The low pitched voice was exhausted.

For a whole week, he has been in daze looking at his phone.

He could not concentrate on anything.

He missed her. He missed her voice, her laugh, her body. He missed everything about her.

Damn! He has no idea that she had that kind of effect on him.

This scared him even more.

He wanted to call her just to listen to her voice.

He wanted to hear the sound of her laughter.

After their little fight, she had left.

She did not call him or came back to the villa.

He knew she was fine from his sources.

"Hey, don't you think that you'll die from suffocation in your office?"

Leng Yan frowned at him.

The moment he entered the office, a thick smell of smoke could be seen everywhere.

At this time, Wang Lu also came to stand in front of him.

Looking at the number of cigarettes in the ashtray, he was surprised and confused.

Does he want to commit suicide?

"Li Mu, were you kicked out of bed by Ru Shi?" Wang Lu said sarcastically but when he saw Mu Chang's face pale he went stiff.

Liang Shao shrugged as if to tell his friends I told you so.

"Mu Chang, don't tell me you're really in love with her."

"Li Mu, I don't know what happened but during these past few days I've seen how happy you've been with her. We all know what happened when Qin Jieli left you and I understand your fears but you can't let one bad relationship stop you from enjoying the subsequent ones. Leng Yan advised wisely.

"And why did you guys have a fight the moment Qin Jieli came. Don't tell me you fought because of her, Liang Shao said.

"Why do you let that witch still influence your life huh? Yes, she's your savior and first love but that ungrateful bitch left you the moment she finished using you. I don't know what ecstasy soup she gave you to be able to wrap you around her fingers. You shouldn't let her stop you from being happy!" Leng Yan added.

Wang Lu sighed.

Even though Qin Jieli is his cousin, he could not defend her.

He warned her, when she decided to leave two years ago.

Even though she left so she can help Li Mu, there was no guy who would wait for a girl who left him without saying a proper good bye.

He wanted his friend to be happy and if Ru Shi could do that he would want him to be with her instead.

"Li Mu, I know you feel that you owe my cousin but honestly you don't. You've paid her enough. If she can't see the love and dedication you had for her then she doesn't deserve you. If you let Ru Shi go you'll regret it. Women are complicated creatures if you ignore her, she'll assume that you don't value her. And she might never give you a chance. The fact that someone as reserved and indifferent as her, let you into her heart shows how much she values you. Wang Lu counseled Mu Chang.

From the information I obtained it seems she has been through a lot, with everybody leaving her. You shouldn't let her go because you're afraid of getting hurt then what about her? Have you thought about her feelings? If you don't want her, I don't mind taking her though. She's hot as hell," wang Lu ended jokingly.

"You dare!!!"

Mu Chang grabbed his neck angrily.

Wang Lu raised his hands in surrender.

"Relax, dude I was just kidding. See how worked up you're with me hooking up with her. I don't know what proof you need to know that you love her. It might not be me, who will be chasing her. Maybe right now someone is already doing that; after all she's hot," Wang Lu said chuckling.

Mu Chang released him.

He fell into a deep reflection.

Did he really love her?

Is that why he was feeling this way?

Anytime he closed his eyes he would see her.

He thought he simply just liked her but now he was really afraid that he might lose her.

What if she did not give him another chance and was already with someone else?

No, she could only be his. He would never let her go.

Suddenly Mu Chang felt inexplicable dread as if he did not go to her right way he might lose her forever.

He grabbed his jacket and ran out of his office, completely disregarding his friends.

They looked at him and shook their heads.
