Ru Shi closed her eyes as she knew that once she falls it's gonna hurt. But the inexplicable pain didn't come. When she opened her eyes she saw the worried look in his brown eyes. As he tightly held her in his arms.

"Are you ok?" Mu Chang asked as he gently kisses her forehead

"Well," Ru Shi felt warm in her heart.

Feng Lu froze at the scene in front of him.

Everything happened too fast!

"You...who...?"

Just as Feng Lu was about to talk, Mu Chang's gentle look was now gloomy as he turned and slapped Feng Lu with his open left hand full across his face. It rocked him and he took a step back and steadied himself. Bewildered he looked at the man in front of him.

"You..!"

Feng Lu held his cheeks as he pointed his finger at Mu Chang,

"If I see you near her again, it won't be just a slap next time!"

Mu Chang ignored him, as he took Ru Shi's hand and dragged her away.

Ru Shi knew that he was angry so she didn't complain as she let him drag her.

Feng Lu watched their departing back as he laughed maniacally, "good Xiao Ru, you now have a backer that's why you dare to leave me! I'll remember this debt, one day I'll make you pay!"

"Li Yi get out." Mu Chang ordered him once they reached the car.

"Yes, Boss!"

Mu Chang opened the passenger seat for her as he sat in the driver's seat.

He stepped on the gas pedal in one go as he ignored her.

"I'm sorry," Ru Shi said with her head down.

He suddenly stepped on the brakes, looking at the woman on the side.

Because of the shock, she almost hit her forehead.

Looking at her small face full of grievances, Mu Chang softened, "what're you sorry for?"

Looking at his sudden seriousness, she slightly opened her mouth but didn't say anything.

Mu Chang buckled her shoulder and let her look at him.

"Tell me what did he want?"

"Nothing!"

He let go of her and started the car again after a while, the car stopped in front of a mansion.

Mu Chang looked at her as she hasn't explained yet.

His voice sounded cold, "tell me!"

Ru Shi lowered her head and didn't dare to look at him. She whispered, "I..he..just wanted to say hi to me.."

Ru Shi lied because she didn't want Mu Chang to be angry.

"Ru Shi, do you take me as a fool?" Mu Chang grabbed her arm and asked.

"He..wanted me to come back to him...he said he'd never let me go!"

He let go of her and took out a cigarette.

"What did you tell him?" His sharp eyes stared at her.

"Of course, I refused! I'd never go back to him! Wait, you believe me right?"

Ru Shi stared at him trying to see his expression.

"Well, I do! I don't want to see you again with him! You can only be mine! Always remember that!"

When Ru Shi heard his possessive words her heart skipped a beat.

Before she could respond, Mu Chang had already gotten down.

She also got down. The moment her leg touched the ground, she felt herself being carried by him.

She seems to be accustomed to his sudden actions. She naturally held his neck, nestled in his arms listening to his heartbeat.

Ru Shi totally ignored her surroundings as she knew Mu Chang would never hurt her.

Back in the villa, he carried her into a room as he called a maid to help her. When she entered the room, she saw the pure white tone of the bed which reflects European style, the big white bed was covered with a pale pink quilt. The color of the curtain was also pink.

Looking at the style of the room, Mu Chang actually arranged the room like a child's room.

Ru Shi looked at the strange room. Did he had it arranged for her?

"It's arranged by the maid," he faintly said.

"Thank you." Without him, the maid wouldn't have done this.

It was only now that she had a sense of reality that she was really in Mu Chang's house and he even prepared a room for her.

Looking at the house, and the room it looked like a rich mansion.

'Mu Chang, who're you?' She asked herself because she was afraid of his identity she didn't dare ask.

Hoping that one day he'd trust her enough to tell her and that she could handle the truth. When the time comes.

Looking at her, Mu Chang stood in front of the window and actually found out that this room was really suitable for her.

"Have a good rest."

Then he left the room.

Ru Shi looked at the room. This is her room, it looks like a princess's room, but unfortunately, she's not a princess.

"Li Yi, give me a look at Feng Lu, I want to know all of his information." Mu Chang sat on the big sofa and said.

"Boss, the last time you asked me to check Miss Ru, I also checked him, do you want me to give it to you now?" Li Yi asked him.

"Well."

After opening the computer and looking at the information,

Feng Lu was a well-known playboy but inexplicably he stopped his playboy ways and started chasing Ru Shi the moment her family fell.

He chased her for two years before she accepted him.

Even though his mother never like her but Feng Lu always defended her.

Their relationship was very good until Feng Lu cheated on her, three days before their wedding.

"Li Yi, don't you think Feng Lu is very suspicious? Why would he risk his relationship with his mother who pampered him, for a girl with no background?" Mu Chang asked him.

"Well, boss I found out that the old man of the Feng's wanted Miss Ru's mother as a daughter-in-law because of her skills and wits for business. So..."

"So Feng Lu must have been threatened by his Grandpa to chase her," Mu Chang finished the sentence for him.

"Well, you can leave"

"Yes, Boss!"
