Chapter 4384: Return
"The village," said Prime Wolfden as we saw the village.
We had been traveling for over a week, through the long route. It had taken time, but we had reached the village safely.
It's still a few minutes away, but nothing can happen now.
I could already sense the eyes and soul. If any danger came, it would take all but seconds for them to come to our rescue.
It is very reassuring.
Especially after the kind of danger we had come across. Aside from Haklin, most of us were monsters, but I had sensed the residual aura of the person that made me shudder through my soul.
I pushed those thoughts away a moment later; I do not need to think about them now that I have reached safely.
A few minutes passed, and we had finally reached the village.
"Welcome back, Prime Wolfden, Prime Arys," welcomed the blond-haired man. "Thank you, Prime Tana." Thanked Wolfden.
"I will give the higher-ups a briefing of what happened, do you want to add something?" he asked.
A crystal appeared in my hand, and I handed it to him. The village had a system like the organisation. Once one returns, they will have to file a briefing.
I had prepared it on the way.
"Thank you, Prime Arys, for saving me. Without you, I would have become a part of Haklin's dark art," he said in a sombre voice.
"You would have done the same thing for me," I replied.
The man didn't say anything other than smiling before flying away toward his house, while I flew toward my cottage.
Thud!
I landed in front of it and looked at my new home, which I missed a lot, especially when I would step into the small abode.
The cottage may not be as big as the palaces here, but it is spacious and homely.
I love it to the point that I'm even considering taking it with me when I leave. Although I haven't decided and don't know when I will leave,
I have studied the data I obtained from the rift, and one thing has become clear.
It's going to be terribly hard to leave this place, but I will leave it. I cannot afford to stay here for decades, much less for centuries and millennia.
I pushed those thousands away and stepped into the compound before walking through the door.
"It feels good to be back," I said as I looked at the cottage before stepping into my bedroom.
I showered there and freshened up before walking out.
It is late afternoon. So, I ate some snacks before lying on the couch and closing my eyes.
There are things I want to do, such as getting more information from the village. Ask if I could see the vault and hibernation chamber.
I will do that later. I will be in the village for at least a month before I go out again.
Knock Knock!
Hours passed when I heard the knock on my door.
I opened my eyes, and the wave of soul sense told me who it was on the other side.
I looked outside the window and saw that it was dark. It is night already. I had lost a sense of time.
Click!
I opened the door and looked at the woman on the other side.
"Prime Avana, please come in," I invited. They nodded and came inside. I closed the door and sat beside her.
"Rava had sent me for you; she wants to check if Prime Haklin had left something in you," she said. Hearing that, I couldn't help but smile.
The woman is careful. It's not surprising; she had been here for nearly a millennium.
"I guess Prime Rava had found the things in Prime Wolfden?" I asked. To that, she nodded. "I had sensed them, but had no expertise to remove them. So, I only sealed them," I replied.
It's a blood art, of course, the man had left something in Prime Wolfden.
I was more than capable of removing things, but I didn't want to. So, I had just created a seal that blocked everything.
"As for me. Prime Rava, do not need to be worried about." I replied. She looked at me and even opened her mouth before closing it.
"Rava had been impressed with the seal." She said after a moment of silence.
"Thank you," I replied, and then acted like I had remembered a few things.
"Speaking of which, I had sorted the clutter in my core and got a few things that Prime Rava would be interested in," I said, and curiosity appeared in her.
I didn't keep her guessing, and a moment later, a store band appeared in my hand.
"It will collapse!" she said, looking at the blue gemmed storage band in alarm. "Relax, it will not for a day," I replied with a smile.
Some relief flooded the woman, but she still carefully touched the storage ring, as if it were the most delicate thing in the world. In this realm, it is.
"It had been so long that I nearly forgot how to use these things," she said in a near whisper as she gently caressed the storage device.
The storage devices didn't work here. Even this one started breaking the moment I brought it out.
Though it is strong enough, it will be able to maintain itself for around three days before it collapses.
She kept caressing the storage, before using a thin sliver of soul sense to probe it.
Gasp!
A moment later, a gasp came out of the woman's mouth.
"This?" she asked. "I do not need those things; they were in the trash section of my core, but I am sure they will be very useful to Prime Rava," I replied.
"Tremendously," she said after a few seconds of silence.
The storage contains a few thousand medicine books and tools, among other things.
The woman wasn't Prime when she came here. She was a sovereign healer. She had learned through the experience and from the healers who came.
She is a very talented woman to have reached such a degree in healing with only things.
These books and tools will help her tremendously in filling the gaps in her knowledge and teaching her new things that will help her many more lives.
I wanted to do that since the first week, but never got a good chance.
