“Let me,” I said to Jim when he tried to lift the bowl, he nodded and stepped aside, and I fortified my armor further and raised my hands to lift the bowl from the stone coffin.
Ever since I have stepped into this garden, I have been getting that nagging feeling of great danger, and I have searched for it everywhere but did not find one, and even now, when the time of our leaving had come.
The only place could come from was the bowl, so I decided to take matters into my hand because my chances of surviving whatever danger was much bigger than Jim and Lester's.
My hands touched the golden-blue bowl, and it felt slightly colder to touch; considering it is sunny in the garden, aside from this little anomaly, everything seemed fine. Seeing that, I lifted the bowl or tried to when suddenly the silver and golden formation appeared on the coffin and lit up resplendently.
Hun!
The formation did not give me a good feeling at all, and I immediately tried to let go of the bowl, but before all my fingers could leave it, strange energy came through the bowl from the formation and struck me, bypassing my defenses like they did not exist at all.
I couldn't help but laugh inside me at the futility of my defensive measures, which were not able to stop this energy for even a fraction of a second.
I could hear the screams of Jim and Lester, who seemed quite far despite them being close to me. They tried to shake me off my freeze, but the energy inside me reacted, sending both of them flying far away.
I wanted to tell them to stop, but my mouth and soul were frozen; I could not tell the condition of my friends or know whether they have survived.
The energy did not harm me, but I could feel it scanning my body and soul before going at my core, from where it had repelled hard. It tried again and was nearly completely destroyed; only a small part remained, which seemed intelligent enough not to try at my core again.
The energy did not remain in my body and went back into the coffin, but to my surprise, I still remained frozen on my spot.
said the fire skull laughing, and I wanted to stop screaming, just to piss it off, but I could not. The pain is too much for me to not scream.
Hun!
The pull got stronger and stronger when suddenly everything stopped.
