Monku no Tsukeyou ga Nai Rabukome Volume 1 Chapter 1 part1

Thanks for waiting. While the manga version is stalling churning out extras, here’s a part of Chapter 1. I labeled it by part using the cross marks in between chapters. Parts 2 and 3 will probably be added next week, if I’m not busy. Comment for whatever wrongdoing I have here.

Chapter  1

They recently had a conversation like this.

“Hey, hey, Onii-sama, wanna do a quiz?”

“A quiz?”

“Yeah. Let’s have a cutesy and harmonious quiz to shake off the wierd atmosphere between us siblings.”

It was a certain day several months ago.

Kirishima Yuuki remembers that time when he was talking to her younger sister at their home’s backyard.

“I don’t see why not, but what do you mean wierd atmosphere between us? Aren’t we talking to each other like usual?”

“Now, here’s the first question!”

She ignored it by asking the question.

“What do you think is that one thing a girl could be most happy about in this world?”

“Haah…”

“What is it??”

“………..”

“Whaaat is iiiiiiiit??”

The younger sister’s forcefulness is a normal thing.
To slightly ignore her glare, Yuuki said this while stroking his chin:

“Hmm, let’s see… Wait, despite this being a quiz, that question sure is vague…”

“Now then, what could it be, I wonder~♪  What could be the answer~♪”

She requested an answer while dancing and singing a strange melody.

While letting out a long sigh inside his head, Yuuki gave up. Let’s play along with the little sister.

“Is it eating sweets?”

“Bubuuu! Wrong!”

“Wearing cute clothes.”

“Bubuuu! Wrong!”

“Being praised a huge number of times!”

“Bubuuu! Wrong!”

“…… wait, doesn’t this seem impossible to answer? More importantly, isn’t the way the question is asked kinda suspicious.”

“By the way, if you answer incorrectly again, as punishment, you’ll carry me by holding me by the knees.

“But why? I don’t want to do it.”

“You only have ten seconds leeft! Niine, Eiight, Seeveen…”

A cruel countdown.

As he was shocked, Yuuki thought about something that a girlfriend would want, for example–

“How about getting kissed by the one she loves?”

“So close!”

The younger sister holds her head in pain, her body trying to put up with it.

“Truly very close! A near pin! The difference between onii-sama’s answer and the correct answer is like the difference between normal rice and the rice used for mochi! Whew, that was really close!”

“If that’s close enough, you might as well consider it correct already!”

“No can do. For me, it’s getting a flower circle , but this time, if it’s not the right one, it won’t be allowed.”

It has suddenly become a matter of being allowed or not.

Which made the groaning Yuuki twist his neck down in confusion. But then,

“Bubuuu! Too bad, you’re out of time! Now then, carry me!”

“Wait, at least tell me the answer. Or else, I can’t agree to this.”

“You just don’t know how to give up, Onii-sama. No matter how much you struggle, you carrying me, caressing my head and kissing me on the cheek is already decided.”

“Hey, don’t nonchalantly add more things to do. Just answer already.”

“Hmph. I have no choice then.”

The little sister’s nostrils became enlarged.

“The right answer is being proposed to by the one she loves! Bam-bam! Woot! Woot!”

“O-kay…”

“What an unsociable fellow you are, Onii-sama. As your younger sister, I am sadden that you do not know the answer to such a simple question. There’s only one dream for girls, the one thing in this world they yearn for–of course, that’s getting a proposal from their sweet prince!”

“…………”

“With the way you are right now, it’ll take you a long time to get a girlfriend or lover. Well, I plan to take care of you forever, Onii-sama, so–wait, where are you going!? Our conversation isn’t over yet!!”

….. of course he is thankful.

If it weren’t for her cheerfulness, Kirishima Yuuki’s life would’ve been more gloomy. After all, he’s already an offering way before he had consciousness, and he spent more than ten years of his life finding out his life’s purpose.

But if there is an underlying cause as to why he remembered it, maybe it’s because the contents of his younger sister’s quiz seemingly fit this situation.

Near pin – a golf term where the ball has been shot only to land near the hole.
