Her laughter eventually gave away to sadness. Or perhaps, she was just feeling exhaustion from dealing with the life-threatening struggles in the past few days. Ruan Qiuqiu wondered if Mr. Gray Wolf's injuries, which she had recently bandaged, had opened up again from moving around.

Ruan Qiuqiu leaned against the rough fur of his paw to try to lighten his burden. She closed her eyes and relaxed her tense limbs.
