The first time he read the message, he almost stood up which will get everyone's attention and get him in trouble with their grumpy professor.

Mo Lihua's reply does not make sense. He even read the text message multiple times, trying to determine if he is seeing it correctly. Or if it was sent by another person by mistake.

"Yes. I hav a boyfriend." Mo Lihua's reply initially surprised him but then eventually annoyed him. He was initially just joking but never expected that it is really the case. Does she really have a boyfriend?

However, regardless of how many times he checked, it is really from Mo Lihua.

When did this happen? Who is it? How? Who else knows about this?

Yu Qiao waited for a couple of minutes for her to send another message, to confirm that it was only a joke as there is really no way for her father to allow her to be in a romantic relationship while still in college. So it is technically impossible. Then how did it happen?

Since he did not receive any after a while, "Funny. Ur joking ryt? 😒😒" Yu Qiao clarified unamused.

"Hey! 😡" He sent another one, after still not receiving any response from Mo Lihua.

'Aha. You are ignoring me, young miss. Do you think I can let this one go?' Yu Qiao though as he smirked mockingly to his phone.

Yu Qiao cannot concentrate on anything else, he even ignored Zang Fei who is two desks away from him, trying to get his attention to know what is going on.

He also failed to see that his girlfriend already glared at him with contempt after not getting any response from him for a while.

Yu Qiao only paid attention to his phone as he continued to spam Mo Lihua with messages, forcing her to reply.

Regardless of how many messages, he did not receive even a single response from her.

Since that is the case, Yu Qiao requested and got permission to use the bathroom which he efficiently used that time to call.

He tried multiple times as well, but just like the messages, he was not answered.

Gritting his teeth, "So it is like this now huh?" he seethed to himself, feeling so neglected. This is the first time Mo Lihua did this to him. She always answers even if he sends a message or calls in the middle of the night.

Yu Qiao felt hurt as he never treated Mo Lihua differently even though he is already dating someone.

So why? Why is Mo Lihua being unfair? Did he do something wrong?

Or probably he is calling on a bad time? Is she out with her boyfriend? What if they are in a very isolated place? What if there is a bed and they are alone? What if...

"F*ck!" he cursed due to the dread that he feeling after just thinking about the possibility of Mo Lihua being intimate with her boyfriend.

Yu Qiao decided to call someone else. His phone call was answered immediately, "Ahm... Rita is Mo Lihua home?" he asked her personal maid.

"What do you mean Young Master Yu?" Rita asked in confusion, "The young miss is supposed to be in the University. Oh no! Is she not there?!" she added frantically.

Before he can answer, he heard Rita calling their head security, "Angelo! Angelo! Our Young Miss is nowhere to be found!" Rita exclaimed in panic, so loud, it made Yu Qiao winced even though the phone is already away from his ears.

To his horror, the maid suddenly started sobbing as someone died!

"Rita! Rita! What happened? Calm down!" Yu Qiao also panicked, thinking of the worse as well, "She is just not answering my phone call! That's all! Hey Rita!" he exclaimed, being more rational compared to the maid.

The maid continued to sniff when she spoke, "Oh. Let me call her emergency number then. Young Miss is not allowed to ignore that one." Rita said the immediately hung up.

Looking at his phone dumbfounded, "Emergency number? What does she mean by that?! That she is allowed to ignore me?" Yu Qiao asked furiously. He is never aware of the emergency number!

Yu Qiao tried to calm down even though he felt wronged. He waited for a moment before calling again, "Rita, did she answer?" he asked while thinking of a good explanation for Rita to give him the emergency number.

"Oh! Definitely Young Master Yu!" Rita said cheerfully. "Is there anything else? We are really busy now, actually..." she said.

Yu Qiao frowned before speaking, "Did she mention anything else? Regarding me perhaps?" he asked with annoyance. "Is she going home soon?" he added.

It took a while for Rita to answer, "I am sorry, I forgot to tell her... But the Young Miss will be back home late. She will be going to the National Library." The maid explained casually.

'What National Library?! Your Young Miss is on a date!' Yu Qiao can just feel it. Mo Lihua is ignoring him because there is a high chance that her boyfriend is not someone they will approve of.

"I have something important to tell. Give me her emergency number." Yu Qiao stated with authority. He is really trying to suppress his worry and anger to not show on his voice.

Men are dangerous and he will make sure to speak to Mo Lihua about it!

Another silence before Rita responded apologetically, "I am sorry Young Master Yu, I know you are master's godchild, however..." the maid paused for a moment before releasing a heavy sigh, "The number is only for family. Please forgive me..." then the maid hung up on him.
