Chapter 4.1 : Tea Party With Maou

Note: Maori is the only one who uses “Demon king”, and the rest will refer to him with “Maou”. and using “Demon King” to refer his predecessor.

The Maou has come.

I caused such a disastrous meeting a while ago.

Well, I definitely cannot suppress my anger after being forcibly brought from my village against my will. But then, it's similar to what human noble do right.
That's why from the very beginning I was convinced that these guys are “Evil”.

Why is he unlike the Maou's described in fairy tales.

I heard that the Maou lived somewhere in this world.
But for me, that's a story from a faraway place.

The Maou inside the fairy tale is the epitome of extreme cruelty, an unjust and inhumane demon. And this terrible guy is going around creating havoc along with the terrifying demons that come with him.
I expected him to live in some sort of rugged cave instead of this gorgeous castle, and he should always be intimidating instead of weary like before. And he shouldn't be held in such high regards by this babe subordinate of his.

I knew that something is definitely wrong here.
Even so, I'm wondering what was wrong.

………. Or should I say, why did he come anyway?

Did he suddenly change his mind and come to rip my limbs off?

Reanschild is looking at the opened door.
A man who is wearing expensive looking clothes entered the room, his porcelain white skin and black hair that was on the shorter side is impressive. Yup…………. He is young.
He's looking at me with a cool and indifferent look.

「I'm a military man, therefore pardon me for my lack of manners. I hear that his highness is going to have a tea party with you. Come in」

Are you supposed to be glaring at someone while asking for their forgiveness.

After coming with an advance warning, the pigoril–I mean Adolphus steps to the side.
And then, an ominous full body armor appeared from behind.

The Maou.

You really like that armor huh.

The Maou stopped slightly away from the door.
For some reason, he seems to be hesitating about something.
After a brief pause, he came into the room.
I thought that he's going to say something and yet he keeps his silence and sits on the chair in front of me.
Since he also urged me to sit, I've no choice but to do so.
Without a moment of delay, Reanschild placed a cup in front of the Maou.

What could it be. I'm treated worse than insect.
… Come to think of it, I abused him just a while ago.

The Maou raises his cup to his lips with splendid gracefulness, unbefitting of his full body armor.
When I'm looking at how he's going to drink from that cup, he downed the contents right on the mouth position of the helmet and returned the cup just like that.
