In comparison to his surroundings, Fike suddenly felt that he looked like a country bumpkin.

“Hello, Mr. Adventurer. Would you like to eat or stay?”

He found the waiter's polite attitude a bit excessive. Nevertheless, he responded lightly.

“Just a simple meal. Please serve me some of your best dishes.”

“Okay, Mr. Adventurer, please follow me!”

Fike followed the waiter to the dining hall, passing through the lobby.

The guests in the hall were not dressed like adventurers from Miracle.

Rather, they looked more like generic nobles from the upper classes of society.

A band was stationed at the center of the hall, playing beautiful music that filled the air.

Fike felt that he really didn't fit in here at all.

At this moment, he really wished that he'd changed his clothes and dressed up before coming here.

He sat down after he was guided to an empty table. After a short while, the waiter brought the dishes up to him.

The first entree was a slice of raw Exotic Beast meat that had been purified through the process of light charcoal roasting.

A middle-aged man sitting across from Fike noticed that he was hesitating, so he spoke to him.

“Young man, did you know that the raw meat before you was prepared after being purified by the demon hunter Mike himself? You can eat it without worry. That meat is slowly getting scarcer and rarer with each meal.”

Hearing the middle-aged man's words, Fike could not help but feel embarrassed.

He hadn't expected that his meal would actually be made from the batch that he had sold himself in the market.

The middle-aged man continued to speak.

“I wonder where this Mike has run off to. I heard that he disappeared after he killed the Overlord-tier Exotic Beast.”

Fike raised his head to look at the middle-aged man.

He had a bloated body, a bald head, and a short stature. His appearance seemed sort of comical.

However, he was dressed expensively. His coat was inlaid with many gemstones of all sizes.

“Really? I don't know where Mike's gone either.”

Fike replied calmly.

Seeing that Fike had actually responded to him, the man immediately got up, bringing his own plate over to him.

Then, he sat down swiftly and smiled at him.

“Look at you, you've just arrived at Romon!”

This person was acting way too familiar with him. Fike really did not want to continue paying him any mind, but out of politeness, he replied anyway.

“Yes, I've just arrived.”

“Then I have to tell you about some of the interesting places in the royal city of Romon.”

“Let me see… in the south, there's a…”

Watching as the middle-aged man launched himself into a tangent, Fike was speechless.

He wanted to move to another table, but he didn't want to disrespect the man's hospitality either.

Soon, the second and third dishes were served.

Fike found that the middle-aged man not only shared the table with him, but also ate his food without any hesitation.

The man spoke as he ate, causing his saliva to go flying everywhere.

Such an uncomfortable situation had caused Fike to completely lose his appetite. Now, he just wanted to leave this place as soon as possible.

Finally, the middle-aged man said, “Young man, you eat first. I'm going to the washroom.”

Taking the opportunity of his leave, Fike immediately got up once the man had gone far enough away, immediately heading over to the counter to pay the bill.
