MIMI 60 Suffer Dearly

"Have you?" Tobias repeated sternly.

Chuckling at the man's indifference towards her bubbly greeting, she holds the phone to her ear while twirling around in her leather chair.

"To answer Mr. Itou's question, I haven't eaten yet." Mimi giggles. "I naturally take it that you plan to treat me out to a delicious meal?"

"En." Tobias curtly spoke.

"Great! I've been craving some seafood lately! I know a lovely restaurant we can try." Mimi giggles.

The nobleman on the other end gently releases a deep seductive chuckle, "Alright, send me the location, I'll send my chauffeur to pick you up."

"En, many thanks, Mr. Itou!" Mimi grinned childishly.

Although the man on the other end couldn't see her expression, he could already guess what her face looked like. Mischievious and grinning with joy.

Cheeky brat…

After a few moments of silence, Tobias's deep voice spoke once more.

"How are your injuries?" He asked, his voice lowering slightly.

Blinking her shining eyes rapidly, Mimi curled the corner of her lips.

"They've healed properly. Of course, it's all thanks to your help Mr. Itou." Mimi said serenely while leaning back in her chair.

On the other end, Tobias's furrowed brows eased, his hand clutching tightly onto his pen relaxing.

"Good," The man grunted.

Mincing her lips together, Mimi stifles a giggle from escaping towards the man's reaction.

Hai, no wonder he has made it so far in the industry. With him worrying over the smallest things, nothing could go past him.

Tsk, tsk, seems like she had a long way to go in order to be on equal standards with the all mighty Tobias Itou.

As Mimi was lost in thought, the man's husky voice spoke on the other end.

"If they hadn't, someone would suffer dearly for being so reckless…"

On another lovely day working diligently at Glory Trade Corporation, Mimi was quietly printing papers in the main room of the tech department.

When suddenly, the abrupt loud sound of a door opening, caused everyone's focused attention to look up - except for Mimi of course.

"Good job everyone!" Eli said with a beaming smile. "It's been official, our company has surpassed the record for highest profits this year!"

Instantly, the bland faces of all the employees brightened, smiles plastered joyfully on their radiant faces. A few male employees jumped up from their seats yelling.

"Hell yeah! Three years in a row!" A tall male employee shouted cheerfully.

"I can't believe we've reached such high profits so quickly," A female employee smiled radiantly. "Guess all that hard work paid off! It's all, of course, thanks to working with such an amazing CEO."

"Right, right! We definitely were able to accomplish more in the last month thanks to President Itou!"

"Congratulations everyone, you've all worked hard." The elegant soothing voice of a woman suddenly spoke eloquently.

Turning towards the specific direction of the pleasant voice, a tall woman in a dark red suit and silky flowing hair smiled serenely at all the employees. Her light eyes shining serenely against her snow white skin.

"Senior Su!" The girlish voice of Jinny perked up upon typically seeing her idol.

Hopping over towards the attractive radiating woman, Jinny's soft brown eyes sparkle.

"Many thanks to Senior Su for your wonderful guidance and assistance!" Jinny bobbed her head shyly with round flushed cheeks.

Chuckling softly at the petite woman's behavior, Senior Su tenderly caresses her short hair.

"What are you talking about? It was all because of you and everyone's hard-working effort we were able to accomplish such a goal." She said politely, instantly flashing her dimples.

"Senior Su, you're honestly too kind!" A male employee said thoughtfully.

"I agree, it was thanks to Senior Su and Mr. Sato's tremendous help were able to make it this far," Another employee chimed in.

As everyone was talking cheerfully and boasting a few, Eli Sato watched the pleasant scene before him with kind tender eyes.

The vibrant green shone brilliantly in his gentle eyes as he keenly watched the harmonious conversations and expressions of his employees.

While Eli shifted his gaze around the room, his keen eyes met the youthful cold figure of Mimi who had privately and indifferently printed papers in a small corner of the room.

He hadn't even taken notice of her at first due to the excitement, although he most likely wasn't the only one, as everyone's attention was drawn away from the gothic girl.

It was almost as if she was...a ghost.

"Alright, everyone settle down!" Eli laughed gleefully.

Naturally following his words, the loud sound of the employee's joyous talk simmered gently - everyone typically placing their focus on him.

"As I've previously mentioned in the past, due to everyone's hard work and our big accomplishments; Glory Trade Corporation has decided to typically host a staff only celebration party as a thank you to all of you," Eli said proudly while carefully surveying the room.

As he spoke his bright eyes suddenly landed on Mimi who had finally finished printing her papers and was currently shuffling them in place.

Mimi, who had been planning on merely ignoring everyone and naturally focusing on her work, suddenly felt the familiar gaze of Eli Sato.

Her eyebrows slightly twitch under his intent gaze. Deciding to overlook him, Mimi continues to keep her back facing him.

Of course, Eli just couldn't take a hint that she didn't want to be a part of the joyful celebration…

"Mimi, I genuinely hope you come to the celebration party it'll surely be fun!" Eli grinned brightly.

With her scowling brow twitching once more, Mimi leisurely shifts her dull gaze behind her to stare at the green-eyed man who was staring eagerly at her with evident amusement.
