Zhi Rui sat cross-legged on its head staring at a simple white scroll manual.

"Why us?" said Yu Yan, following behind. "Why not one her oldest companions, or the two level-three she just turned into slaves?"

Yu Yan posed the question. Bai Hui closed his eyes thinking deeply.
He sighed "Maybe our cultivation method."

Yu Yan frowned. Bai Hui usually isn't so uncertain.

Zhi Rui's voice came from ahead.
"My subordinate recorded you people since the second day you entered the forest. I took some time to see it. They called you outcasts. Why?"

They looked at each other's eyes briefly.
Yu Yan spoke. " The rumor about us is that we eloped into an affair that incited war from both of our clans. And to escape persecution we allied with a third party, causing the destruction of our own clans."

Zhi Rui shook her head. " As righteous as our great sect may seem, they reward the strong and sidestep the weak like every other place. Your abilities are strong enough to be considered talented. The sect would never neglect you because of some rumors, otherwise, you wouldn't have accepted in the first place. That means you chose to be miserable in that state out of your own will So I'll ask again; Why are you outcasts?

"You don't believe in the rumors?" Yu Yan asked.

Zhi Rui laughed. "HAHA, Of course not, rumors are merely what leaked, I'm sure what you did was way worse than that."

Bai Hui looked at Yu Yan deeply. she nodded.

He took a deep breath.

"Our cultivation method might've become a burden. We chose to stay low key And as we got each other, we didn't mind a poorer life."

Zhi Rui stood up slowly, and the boa under her feet stopped in place.

The couple felt the air turn colder. The ape stood a small distance behind them.

Zhi Rui turned to them, her green eyes were cold, she walked slowly towards them.

"From your tone of voice to the movements of your muscles. All indicates you're telling the truth. Even though it's a lie. Both of you lied to me when I met you. I tolerated since I was tired. You lied again about the reason for being outcasts. I gave you a chance to redeem yourself again, yet you fed me another lie."

The couple nervously held hands together.

Zhi Rui felt her skin tingling with heat and turning numb at the same time. But she didn't change countenance.

As her steps came closer it grew thicker.

Zhi Rui stood still right in front of their combined power.

"Tell me your reasons or your romantic tale will meet its happily ever after right here."

Bai Hui and Yu Yan were calm, Bai Hui smiled and yu Yan smiled back. with a small movement, the fire inside the ball shone red.

knowing what they felt at every second and seeing they chose to die rather than speak. A gleam flashed in her eyes. Zhi Rui laughed "Haha, I understand now."

The big ball of Ice exploded from inside, engulfing all three of them. The couple, in their last-second, they smiled and embrace each other.

The earth trembled. The shockwave spread thin and disappeared. The dust slowly settled.

Amidst the silence, Bai Hui was the first to open his eyes. looking at the dust slowly settled and feeling the cold and hot on his skin he released his breath. he held the woman in his arms tightly feeling her heartbeat he fiercely kissed the top of her head.

Yu Yan slowly raised her moist eyes and looked in his eye. She buried her face on his chest and held him tightly. they didn't know why but they were alive.

"If people see you like this, they might think I'm bullying you two. Even though I just saved your life." Zhi Rui's came playfully.

They turned fiercely to the side. The dust had settled Zhi Rui stood some meters away from them. Her arms and legs were bruised, disheveled hair. her barbarian clothes had tore in some parts looking old and used.

Her laugh spread through the now desolated earth. She started to hold her belly. She laughed like the best joke in the world was told.

"Now I get it! The reason you chose to be miserable! the reason why you were hunting for fortunes even though you chose to be miserable!
you both are too proud to follow anyone else but yourselves. therefore instead of separating and pursuing your own goes, you chose to remain together and be miserable!

Their face turned crimson red.

Zhi Rui laughed "Pfft- HAHAHAHAHAHA Good! Oh, you two are a piece of work."

She cleared a tear out of her eyes. "Mutual destruction, resentment, sacrificing everything for the sake of staying together. While punishing each other for that sacrifice. You know, people might say it's not love but a disease instead. But, my opinion? you're more close to what they call true love than any heavenly couple out there." Zhi Rui sighed with warm on her eyes.

Sho got up on her boa as nothing happened. As she sat down she felt a sudden intake of pleasure, her body mind and core grew slightly stronger.
She closed her eyes and saw a blob of energy melting down inside her core. And she sighed, drunk in pleasure.

When she went away from the camp she kept thinking about the couple's issue and found herself intrigued by them. She felt a different warmth on her chest. A desire had taken form. With no choice, she ordered the ape to go back and take them to her. Each time they lied her desire was frustrated and she felt a crippling pain on her head. it came to a point where she wanted to kill them and feel all the pain once and be done with it.

'This is nothing like the last time.' She thought.

' The intensity and size of the energy blob increase according to the wish and the intensity of your desire. I wanted to ravish Hilda since I met her. But I held back first, because of caution. Then I held back, as punishment for her. it's been a little more than a month from our first meeting. A whole month of pent up desires.'

The couple watched as Zhi Rui went away above the snake holding her chin thoughtfully.

"That's it?" Bai Hui daringly asked.

"Yes." Zhi Rui answered

Bai Hui clenched his teeth, Yu Yan faces clouded over.

Zhi Rui's way seemed like she already took her assumption as true.
His face red Bai Hui spoke. "We didn't choose to be miserable. we're taking our time deciding on something that we both agree on.

Zhi Rui giggled. "And you needed fun for it, right? that's why you came after my 'fortune' thouhg I think it was more of a thrilling trip to rekindle the love. Haha."

"Y-" Bai Hui opened his mouth.

"Enough!" Zhi Rui cut him short.

The couple swallowed their anger, they looked ahead, the forest started to thin out.

"This is the outskirts of the lawless cities of the barbarian lands."
Yu Yan said. Bai Hui nodded.

Zhi Rui stopped again. She turned to them. "This is the lawless outskirts. the barbarians have extremely scarce resources but they breed like rabbits. In this place, there is deserters, robbers, rapists etc... all kinds of criminals. No one cares for this corner of the world, the already small, tribes, fight each other nonstop. They rely on cannibalism to survive. Remember these points. You'll be coming here once every two weeks.

Zhi Rui Dismounted the snake and went away on foot. the couple remained behind, they couldn't fathom her reason why she so relentlessly asked them about their misery. It was worthless after all.

Zhi Rui walked through the arid hot sand when a thought struck her mind.
