Nobody reacted to that news. They were thrown in illusions after illusions, they already lost the sense of the time, they all assumed that the elders from the sect had already come.

Zhi Rui looked at their Nonchalant face with glee. She knew that Bianca would take the chance to send some people before the elders from the light sect reached the place. And that's what she was counting on.

She looked at the statue of Roberta. Zhi Rui laughed at the irony, the representative of the virtue of chastity that condemned indulgence and impurity. Offered her legacy to one representing lust.

Zhi Rui mused but did not lose sight of her goal. and her eyes darted around, catching every ethereal and spiritual movement inside the room.

After an hour of waiting. three men walked down the stairs. Zhi Rui saw with joy, Zheng Li coming from the same stairway she came did. her eyes then passed through the other two dark elves one came in and stood behind Han Fei and another skinny was behind Xunhue.

The light sects disciples eyes grew round with the surprise. the day before departure, Zhi Rui brought back to the sect a girl that supposedly survived an attack by demonic cultivator with gray skin and red eyes. Without a doubt, they recognized the traits and moved to a fighting stance.

the tension in the air grew thicker but the second. Han Fei was the first to panic and attacked out of anxiousness. As soon as he moved to attack the room froze. To be more precise everyone in the room froze. Zhi Rui felt a tug inside of her but besides that, there was nothing, but she was wise enough to play along and stood still with the others.

Roberta's voice reverberated throughout the room.

"Do not fight here! I might be merely a strand of consciousness, but the original left defense measures that can pull the soul out of your body and mince it to dust!"

As the voice faded, Everybody was allowed to move. Han Fei and the dark elves were sweating profusely. guan Jing tried to keep his cool, but the alarm was clear on his eyes.

Zheng Li stood a few steps away from Zhi Rui and did not change expression.

Zhi Rui smirked inwardly, her excitement was all the way up, so much that Her inner energy became a deep shade of red.

She kept her posture, there was more to see, the soul formation might not be the only defense mechanism left behind. Zhi Rui eyes glowed red and she searched for any other defense methods.

As she looked around, steles sprouted from the ground in front of everyone present except for Xunhue.

The voice echoed through the room. "The first two stages measured your talent. The third tested your character. In those steles, is your reward for coming this far."

Zhi Rui kept her eyes on Xunhue, the only one without a stele.

Robert's voice continued. "Now, my chosen child. If you manage to acquire the legacy, an enormous burden will befall your shoulders. I came to this terrain a thousand years ago in order to seal a great evil. my seal has kept it at bay since then. but now it's weakening, and I need a successor to keep it locked."

As it spoke a green jaded coffing appeared right in front of Xunhue.

Han Fei's eyes widened with disbelief.

"HER!? You chose her as your legacy disciple!? Just yesterday, she was using her ass to curry favor from a senior, and you chose her!?" He yelled

As soon as the words left his mouth, blood sprayed from his cavities and he fell on the ground twitching, he was clearly conscious, but he couldn't speak due to pain.

Robert's voice thundered, making everyone's ears bleed.

"From This day forth, Her sins are forgiven! today she was reborn as a saintly woman! An whoever dares to dirt her shall suffer! My Chosen Child, I'll use this strand of consciousness to keep the seal for another century. your burden will be to ascend into the divine realm and reinforce the seal in that time frame, DO YOU ACCEPT IT!?"

"YES!" Xunhue screamed firmly. a bright ball of light came out from the coffin, it slowly floated, it divided itself in two, one part entered Xunhue's forehead. and the other was on it's way to the statue on top of the chained stele.

Han Fei saw the light going to the statue, and a thought crossed his mind.

He knows the chances of his survival would diminish drastically if he used the opportunity, but seeing the joyous expression on Xunhue's face as if she rediscovered a meaning to life. Bothered him, it scratched at his chest. And as a humane person, he is he did not hold back. and screamed

"That voice is in the middle to reinforce the seal! now is the time to steal her inheritance!" in that instant the dark elves eyes, went redder. the resources in their place were scarce, chances like this did not come often.

They put the reservations on the back of their heads and jumped right at Xunhue.

Zheng Li saw that Zhi Rui did not move, so he did nothing to stop them.

Stick and the Hound jumped at Xunhue. Guan Jing widened his eyes, he made a split-second decision and hurried up the stairs. Han Fei ra to the nearest stairs to him but stopped before going up, he wanted to see Xunhue's head flying away in blood.

But the only thing he saw, was Zhi Rui's lips moving, and Xunhue' head nodding. it happened in lightning speed. The man behind Zhi Rui jumped at Xunhue's too but he aimed at the skinny dark elf. the skinny elf was caught by surprise and his neck broke apart by a hand chop.

The event surprised Han Fei, but he suddenly looked elsewhere. a chill crawled on his back. he looked at his right. And Zhi Rui came running in his direction. he tried to go up the stairs but on the top of it, Xunhue looked coldly at him. For a split second, he regretted indulging his envious impulse.
