Zhi Rui caressed her own arms as if soothing the skin startled by the chilly breeze.

Soft light steps came to form her side, but even before the sound, A sudden blood smell assaulted Zhi Rui.

She turned around looking at the ever-energized Ren Zu.

She was covered from mouth to toe in blood. Killing beasts of the second level throughout the night, it didn't look like she ever received any wounds But Zh Rui had watched as she fought and got punctured, slashed and crushed. She only needed to feed on blood, then she'd be back to normal almost instantly. Zhi Rui was astounded by the indestrucbaness of the etérnal race.

Even deeply hurt, if she didn't lose a limp then it didn't matter how grave, the wounds were, it didn't influence her movements at all.

Zhi Rui remembered when she tried to attack a level two mantis, it saw her first and tore deeply into her chest cutting all the way down to her waist But Ren Zu only counter-attacked and took its head off, ate its meat and healed.

'It's an absurd race, The goddess to make them was nuts.' Zhi Rui thouhgt.

"M-Miss, the monsters in this area were all killed." Still feeling the running frenzy inside of her, Ren zu said with wide open, hungry eyes.

Zhi Rui simply smiled.

"It's five am, the sun will soon come out." Zhi Rui took some clothes out of her pouch and threw to Ren Zu. "There's a small creek over there, wash up and change, do it fast, the backlash will come soon."

Ren Zu nodded with a forlorn smile and jumped away. She wanted to hut more with Zhi Rui...

Zhi Rui stood tall on the highest tree watching Ren Zu from afar.

'She's a monster. One night of hunting and she's already halfway to the third level...'

Zhi Rui smiled while looking a the silent dark sky. 'The slaves will reach the third level by the end of these four months. With what I managed to recruit and raise. I'll have a good standing in the underworld. Even if the other geniuses take and split all the other disciples, this small but elite group of mine will be more than enough to safely hunt and form a base, it would be even better if the geniuses don't take me as a real threat.

Suddenly, a pleasant smell washed over Zhi Rui. Her eyes widened, and looked where it came from, Ren Zu was jumping softly through the trees towards her, she was wearing the white robe Zhi Rui gave her, her black hair and dark red eyes came in gently. Zhi Rui could feel the worship on the gaze but ignored it.

The smell was fragrant and so good, nothing like the scented oils the nobles use.

"This smell.." Zhi Rui muttered.

Ren Zu jumped and stood in front of Zhi Rui with a bashful smile.

"When I eat the blood, it adheres to my body, then when morning comes, the essence of the blood is mixed in my own, releasing this smell. Then I fall unconscious until my body stabilizes.

"Oh..." Zhi Rui said. And a little mirth appeared in her eyes, she lightly stepped forward and embraced Ren Zu. She snuggled her nose on the woman's neck, between the forest of long dark hair. Feeling the fragrance directly.

Her cheeks were flushed. 'This feels so good, so pleasant. It's almost a narcotic.'

While Zhi Rui indulged, Ren Zu did everything to not tremble in relish. She felt like a miracle was bestowed upon her.

With deep blushing cheeks she spoke in a whisper to Zhi Rui.
"I-If Master wants to h-have me, I-I'm than H-Honored."

Zhi Rui momentarily regained her composure, she ran her hands through Ren Zu's hair with drunken eyes. "I was about to swallow you up, regardless of consequence. but then you presented yourself in such an eager manner.." Zhi Rui looked at her with dazed malicious eyes. "That I think leaving you like that will be more amusing."

Zhi Rui leaned in until almost touching. And let the fragrance reach her nose again. In a drunk teasing smile, she looked at the forlorn Ren Zu
"Let's go. we have a trip ahead."

Although Disappointed, Ren Zu is glad Zhi Rui has fun in teasing her. She held herself together and followed with a smile.

Half an hour later, when the sun appeared. The smell she emanated disappeared and Ren Zu blacked out. falling to the ground.

Zhi Rui took her in the arms and kept on.

At late noon Ren Zu woke up, They hunted for more beasts, while Zhi Rui watched over her and planned for the future. They did this two more times while going deeper into the forest, but the weak level two beats became too spread and scarce.

'She said that when she woke up, she was already at the first level. Then in two weeks, she reached the second level just by hunting the bests around the forest. Now, hunting unceasingly She's around ten to twenty percent away from the third level...'

"Ren Zu, What if you drink stronger blood? like level three beasts?"

"It'll take slightly longer to fuse with it and the backlash will last longer depending on the blood's essence's strength."

Zhi Rui nodded to herself. "Then let's go faster, I'll make you my strongest hidden card."

Zhi Rui went on to kill beasts at the third level. She was looking for quantity, so she went straight towards a group of gorillas.

Ren Zu watched in awe as Zhi Rui brought them all down and threw the bodies to her.

After one week of travel, they were edging the area were fourth level beasts lived.

Ren Zu reached a bottleneck and the accumulated energy emanated from her in a red fog.

"I just need to swallow the blood left for me in the inheritance. Only with it, I can evolve." Re Zu said slightly before dawn.

Zhi Rui pondered while looking at the volcano on the horizon.

"I'll stay guard while you evolve, so just rest easy on the top of that tree." Zhi Rui pointed a the highest tree with a small branch under the tree's crown.
