"Boy, your participation in the invasion was 400 points of merit," the captain said to Noah in a low voice, so that the other Blessed would not hear.

Noah was surprised by this. He thought that the maximum points he could receive would not be more than 160. After all, the captain had said that the number of points that someone in the inner circle could receive in this Fortress would be between 60 to 160 points.

"Why 400 points?" Noah asked curiously.

"Your participation was much more significant than that of the other Blessed Ones, to the point that your participation amounts to a Blessed of Rank B. So I have to be honest and give you the amount of merit points equivalent to a Rank B. Just don't spread what I said around to the others," the captain said before winking at Noah and walking away.

Knowing that he could get a single essence with these 400 merit points, Noah was not so excited. After all, in this Fortress alone he had gotten the equivalent of more than 110 essences.

There, Noah closed the curtains to make sure no one was going to see what they were going to do there, and sat on the floor, indicating for Maggy to sit in front of him. Curious, thinking it might be a new joke, Maggy sat down in front of Noah and looked at him with an anxious expression.

Noah had just removed his helmet from the armor, since Maggy was very anxious beside him without letting him do anything else.NHe simply took the essence of Mana that he had just purchased and placed it between the two of them, letting Maggy analyze it.

"What is this? Why do I want to burn this? Is this for eating? Can I eat this? Can I burn this?" Maggy once again machine-gunned Noah with several questions.

But to that, Noah answered simply, "This is a Rank C essence. Theoretically only Blessed Rank C can absorb it, but when I was still a Blessed Rank D I was able to burn some corpses with and get some stats points, so I think that if you burn this, you can also get some points."

After calming Maggy and convincing her that he would buy more essences for her in the future, Noah was left alone in the room, after taking off his armor he laid down on the bed to read the chapter in the diary he had received.

Noah was shocked.

Because of the he had received from Lucifer, he already had some idea that the little gods had done something bad, but he did not imagine that they would have gone so far as to want to control humans to take over the world.

'When Lucifer talked about the other races, what was he talking about...? Maybe... the dwarves? Are there races other than dwarves? Damn... I still don't know almost anything,' Noah thought in frustration.

He was frustrated to discover that the gods had been controlling humanity for so long. Humans had been dependent on the Blessed for centuries, so it was in the minds of almost everyone that the gods were their saviors. Who would say that these gods, in fact, were the root of the problem they had, but they just didn't know it yet?
