Lucifer's Descendant System Chapter 171

Seeing the young man coming towards him, Noah had already prepared himself, making sure that it would unfold in a very boring situation. Since his other approaches hadn't worked very well the other times, this time Noah tried something different.

"So this means that the great Lucifer decided to appear in public for the first time? But what an honor we, mere Blessed weak ones, have to be in his presence," the young man said in the most sarcastic and arrogant tone that Noah has ever heard.

Looking at the man, he had short blond hair, a perfectly cut blond beard, sword-shaped eyebrows, and wore a black leather suit with gold stitching which gave him an impression of royalty.

Noah couldn't talk about extravagance, since his appearance was also very extravagant, but the man's attitude irritated Noah a little.

The man after saying this phrase, waited for some reaction from Noah, something like "Lucifer" defending himself, explaining himself, attacking back, getting angry, any kind of thing in that style crossed the young man's mind, but different from he imagined, Lucifer just looked at him, saying nothing, staring at his face, as if there was something wrong with it.

For a fraction of a second the man was even tempted to rub his cheek to see if there was any food left, but that was impossible on Valorwatch, so that meant Lucifer was just staring at him like a clown.

"What is it? Do you think that I, Leroy Williams, am not worthy of your words? Perhaps arrogance has gone to your head?" The young man said with a mocking expression.

Noah looked at him with a small smirk and simply nodded, confirming what the man said as if he answered, "Yes, you are not worthy. So what?"

Seeing what was going on, the other contestants began to whisper in amazement.

"My god... I can't believe that Lucifer is really ignoring Leroy like he's nobody..." said a woman in a low voice.

"Yes... Leroy is usually used to being flattered all over the world because of people's fear of him. Who might this Lucifer be?" another woman said in the lowest voice she could manage.

"I know, right? Maybe Lucifer is even more powerful than Leroy? Or maybe his family is even more powerful than Leroy's?" a gossipy man also said.

"This is difficult. Leroy's family has two Blessed Rank C, not to mention Leroy himself who has almost reached Rank C himself. There will be three Blessed Rank C in a single family! With this strength, the Williams family will be able to sit comfortably in one of the chairs of the families at the top of the city Eyrin. It's hardly likely that Lucifer's family is even more powerful than that... unless... " The man who was saying this didn't even finish the sentence since everyone could imagine what would make someone not fear someone from the Williams family. Either that person would be an ignoramus who didn't even know who was one of the strongest Blessed Rank D under 30, or that person was already Rank C, or that person had a blessed Rank B in their family... but that would only be valid if the person was from another city.

But based on what they had heard about Lucifer, who emerged a few weeks ago and had already reached the top of Rank D on Valorwatch, the possibility that he came from another city became even more apparent. After all, such a powerful Blessed would not have sprung up out of nowhere in their city like that.

Unfortunately they were wrong. Noah just saw Leroy as a problem person, having no idea who he or his family was. He just wanted to be left alone with his friends.

Seeing that Lucifer was ignoring him, Leroy was dangerously calm. People knew him as someone very loud who liked to show himself as superior to everyone, but whenever he was quiet, the situation became worrying... Nobody knew what he would do next, but it would certainly be problematic.

Without saying another word, Leroy turned and left, realizing that he was really being despised by this Lucifer. He would not humiliate himself in public anymore. At first he thought Lucifer would be just like the other people he was used to interacting with, but Lucifer's attitude proved that he had something more, something that made Leroy take him seriously.

'If you think you have something that makes you superior to me, I will forcibly prove how useless you are...' Leroy thought to Noah as he walked away.

Noah just looked at him leaving, while he felt very good. For the first time, he had managed to get rid of a troubled person without much difficulty.

Carlos and his other friends, on the other hand, were very concerned about Noah, since they knew very well who Leroy was and even more about the Williams family. As good friends, they called Noah to a corner and explained to him about Leroy and his family, but even after learning about it he was still unconcerned. His only concern was Maggy, but since the hospital was controlled by the government, as much as Leroy's family was treacherous, they wouldn't try to do anything to a little girl like her for just a simple argument in a game, let alone go against the government for that.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the 8th edition of the Eyrin Regional Championship of Valorwatch!" the presenter said on stage, surrounded by cameras and a lot of people who were frantically screaming due to the event's excitement.

"As many of you know, the peak in strength of the Eyrin City Valorwatch community will be meeting here today with 32 teams resulting in 160 participants, disregarding reserves. These more than 160 people will not only be competing for the big $100,000 sum, but also the glory of being considered the peak of strength of our city, being able to compete in state, national, and even world tournaments!" The presenter said enthusiastically.

"WOAAAAH!!!!!!!" The audience screamed at the stadium, while the livestream channel chats that broadcast the championship were in a frenzy too with countless emojis being sent.

"As you know, our champion from last year is here again. Welcome to the Royal team!" the presenter said, followed by even more frantic screams than before, when the Royal team, in a black and gold uniform, appeared on the big screen of the stadium. At the center of the five players was the city's great Valorwatch star, Leroy Williams.

"Leroy! Leroy! Leroy! Leroy! Leroy!" The audience shouted excitedly.

"The Royal team really won you all over, huh? Now let's go to the next team..." And so the presenter continued introducing the other participating teams.

Until suddenly the stage light changed a little, unlike the gold that was when he introduced the Royal team, this time the stage had turned red.

"You know, this team surprised me a lot. After I watched the videos of their qualifying matches I even thought there was something wrong, but with the meteoric popularity that this team has received, added to how mysterious they are, I think it makes sense," The host said, leaving a suspenseful note.

Those who already knew Lucifer began to be anxious in anticipation to see their favorite player being introduced. And in order not to disappoint anyone, the presenter quickly said. "Yes, welcome the team from Hell!"

When the presenter said that, those who knew Lucifer started to scream frantically, while those who didn't know started to scream together along with them. Since the other people seemed so excited, it was probably because this team they didn't know was good.

On the screen, the image of five characters from the game appeared, and in the center was the player that many yearned to see.

A demon with curved horns on his head that had shiny red tips, a gray skin that contrasted sharply with his eyes that also glowed red, but that were slightly covered by short black hair.

The black and red outfit of the whole team looked mysterious and a little evil, and that was exactly what they wanted.

According to Kevin, their team was certainly the most "badass" team in the league, which made Noah laugh a little.
